You were just having a laugh, just giddy to make him so flustered.

It started out like that, once when Soap said Simon's eyes looked bloodshot and you, mindlessly, took his chin to look him in the eye before you realised that the rosey glow peeking just over the silver of skin might be him blushing.

Then there was no stopping.

You deliberately placed your hand over his thigh, staring at him for too long until he would deck his gaze away, calling him all sorts of cutesy names, winking here and there, and not missing the flustered tug of his mouth disguised behind the quick roll of his eyes.

But it was purely accidental when your fingers nearly brushed over his groin on one of your playful thigh squeeze tactic and in one split moment you were on your back over the bench — wrists pinned in solid iron grip above your head as he leaned over, his lips dangerously close to yours.

“I...” You stuttered, all words and thoughts knocked out in one breathless exhale.

Simon smirked, slotting himself between your legs and which stupidly wrapped around his waist.

“Not one for games lovie.” He growled at your jaw, hot mouth pressing there once before you caught the glint in his eyes.

“I am sorry,” You swallowed, arching into his touch and hearing his merciless laughter.

“Ya been torturing me for weeks love,” Simon's nose nuzzled your neck, breath like fire lingering, “You will be sorry...very sorry.”

Give your characters stupid scars, give your characters scars from that one time they were a kid and tried to do a trick on their scooter and absolutely destroying their shin. Give your oc the scar from the time they thought hand feeding a goose was a good idea. Give your oc a scar from the time they accidentally challenged a goat. Give your oc a scar from when they fell out of bed because they sleep like a maniac on fire. I have a character that has a scar on her back from playing with fireworks! Stop giving your characters traumatizing scars! Not all scars equate to trauma!

10 Non-Lethal Injuries to Add Pain to Your Writing

New Part: 10 Lethal Injury Ideas

If you need a simple way to make your characters feel pain, here are some ideas: 

1. Sprained Ankle

A common injury that can severely limit mobility. This is useful because your characters will have to experience a mild struggle and adapt their plans to their new lack of mobiliy. Perfect to add tension to a chase scene.

2. Rib Contusion

A painful bruise on the ribs can make breathing difficult, helping you sneak in those ragged wheezes during a fight scene. Could also be used for something sport-related! It's impactful enough to leave a lingering pain but not enough to hinder their overall movement.

3. Concussions

This common brain injury can lead to confusion, dizziness, and mood swings, affecting a character’s judgment heavily. It can also cause mild amnesia.

I enjoy using concussions when you need another character to subtly take over the fight/scene, it's an easy way to switch POVs. You could also use it if you need a 'cute' recovery moment with A and B.

4. Fractured Finger

A broken finger can complicate tasks that require fine motor skills. This would be perfect for characters like artists, writers, etc. Or, a fighter who brushes it off as nothing till they try to throw a punch and are hit with pain.

5. Road Rash

Road rash is an abrasion caused by friction. Aka scraping skin. The raw, painful sting resulting from a fall can be a quick but effective way to add pain to your writing. Tip: it's great if you need a mild injury for a child.

6. Shoulder Dislocation

This injury can be excruciating and often leads to an inability to use one arm, forcing characters to confront their limitations while adding urgency to their situation. Good for torture scenes.

7. Deep Laceration

A deep laceration is a cut that requires stitches. As someone who got stitches as a kid, they really aren't that bad! A 2-3 inch wound (in length) provides just enough pain and blood to add that dramatic flair to your writing while not severely deterring your character.

This is also a great wound to look back on since it often scars. Note: the deeper and wider the cut the worse your character's condition. Don't give them a 5 inch deep gash and call that mild.

8. Burns

Whether from fire, chemicals, or hot surfaces, burns can cause intense suffering and lingering trauma. Like the previous injury, the lasting physical and emotional trauma of a burn is a great wound for characters to look back on.

9. Pulled Muscle

This can create ongoing pain and restrict movement, offering a window to force your character to lean on another. Note: I personally use muscle related injuries when I want to focus more on the pain and sprains to focus on a lack of mobility.

10. Tendonitis

Inflammation of a tendon can cause chronic pain and limit a character's ability to perform tasks they usually take for granted. When exploring tendonitis make sure you research well as this can easily turn into a more severe injury.

This is a quick, brief list of ideas to provide writers inspiration. Since it is a shorter blog, I have not covered the injuries in detail. This is inspiration, not a thorough guide. Happy writing! :)

Guys I want angry starscream please I'm begging. I want him calculating every move he does. I want Megatron keeping him by his side because he's frightened on just how much worse starscream will become if he isn't tied down. I wanted a respected starscream because while Megatron can bash your head in star Will easily rip everything from you so he can just watch as you do it yourself. I want a starscream that confronts the others and holds his wings high. I want him to always make it aware he's the second in command for a reason. I want him to have a upper hand on Megatron as well. I want him seeking blood for his fallen fleets. I want him to be ready to carve Vos back up againfrom, the ground up. I want him to remind all the other deceptions he earned his place. I need to him to randomly show Soundwave and Shockwave just why he was and always will be second in command. I adore sympathetic Starscream but please let this man prove he's strong my mental health relys on it.

1st of February, 2021

i was debating on whether or not i should post this on tumblr but seeing as there haven’t been posts about this yet, here it is. i’m exposing my real location and nationality but it doesn’t matter.

if you have been active on twitter, you may already know #savemyanmar is trending. long story short, there has been a military coup. several nations have released statements but i want to share insight on what’s happening in the country.

memes about a coup have been circulating around for a couple days and when i slept at 2 am last night, we were still under the rule of the National League for Democracy (NLD). while they are not technically democratic, they are the closest we’ve got. when my mother woke up at 6 this morning, she was notified that the country was now under the rule of the military.

banks services are no longer available. wifi was cut at around 7-8. some people got wifi again earlier but many got it barely thirty minutes ago. this is bad for businesses especially ones that require international communications. additionally, international students like myself are experiencing anxiety; how do we pay for and attend classes if we’re not sure wifi is a given?

myanmar has a long, complicated history with military governments. the last time the military went into rule was in 1962 and only stopped in 2011, following the 2010 elections. there was a huge protest in 1988 lead by students that resulted in lots of death. during the military junta, resources like rice, water, oil, were scarce. the gist is military rule is bad for us.

all of my followers are not myanmar citizens, i’m sure but as part of the international community, please help us. here is a petition that you can sign (although i’m not sure if that can do much). there may be protests in front of myanmar embassies so look out for those. most of all, please help spread awareness. 

the people here are coping with dark humor, primarily in the form of memes but we don’t know how long this rule will last, even though the official statement said only a year. here’s something that pretty much sums up our coping mechanism:
