Cakes and sexuality
There's a buffet restaurant full of cakes of all sorts- The two most popular ones are the chocolate cake and the cheesecake, but there are many others as well. Cakes are also sorted into two types, ones with a stronger flavor and ones with weaker flavors.
When you enter the restaurant, you get a ticket saying 'typical menu', with one of the popular cakes written on it.
Heterosexual: You eat the cake written on your ticket.
Homosexual: You eat the cake not written on your ticket.
Bisexual: You eat both. It's a buffet, so why not?
Omnisexual: All cakes are great, but you do take note of the flavor before you eat it.
Pansexual: You don't care about what flavor the cake is- Cake is cake. You can even put a blindfold around yourself and eat whatever you feel like.
Polyamorous: You eat two cakes at once, flavor of your choice, because why not? The combination's nice.
Demisexual/demiromantic: You need to know enough about the cake before wanting to eat it. You don't feel the urge to eat random pieces of cake.
Asexual, alloromantic: Cakes with strong flavors aren't to your taste. You go to the line of cakes with weaker flavors and pick one you like.
Asexual, aromantic: Cakes aren't for you. This doesn't mean you hate people who like cakes. You go to a different restaurant and have whatever food you like.
It's that simple. Cakes. Everyone has different preferences, and it's nothing to get worked up about. Basic common sense to simply respect each other, right?
Unfortunately, this isn't what's happening in our world. Just because you eat the cake not written on the ticket, people are condemned, berated, and abused. You're deemed wishy-washy or a fake when you say you like to eat more than one cake. People don't understand when you say weak-flavored cakes are fine- "Why can't you eat the strong ones, then? Those are 'real' cakes!" You're either called a cold-hearted psychopath or swamped with people trying to find you 'the cake' that can 'warm you up' when all you want is no cake.
But I want to tell everyone reading this, you're not alone. Whatever way you want to eat(or not eat) your cake(s), I fully support you. 'Cake is cake', and people who don't like cakes or can't eat them? Cool!
Have a nice day and don't be deterred by whatever may block your way- I'm sending a week full of good luck to you!!!!!! :D

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in Washington State on Friday afternoon because a dipshit Tesla driver rear-ended him at speed. A Snohomish man, 56, was commuting in his 2022 Tesla Model S when he activated the car’s camera-based advanced driver assist system and according to his statements to police, began looking through his phone. With nobody paying attention to the car’s actions, the Tesla software ignored Jeffrey Nissen on his motorcycle and continued on at speed. The car rear-ended the two-wheeler, Nissen was flung from the bike, and his life ended pinned underneath the electric car, where he was still lodged when police arrived to the scene.
Tesla claims another life.
Reminder that even if you are personally aware of how dangerous Tesla vehicles are and vow to never ride in one, they can still kill you.
My own driving habits have changed around them. I always give Teslas extra space, avoid following them directly, and expect them to stop or swerve suddenly without notice.
Cannot count the times I've pulled up next to a Tesla at freeway speed, noticed the driver playing on their phone. Tap the horn. They look up with surprise.
Please, don't be that guy.

The eternal question - is it worse to read the words of someone who hates a character you love but is accurate/respectful in their points/portrayal, or someone who loves them more than you do but strips them of all nuance and greyness to legit "they did nothing wrong" when they did SO MUCH WRONG?

since i didn’t arrested, i’ll post about last night.
i went to a people’s university/free palestine encampment at one of my local universities. they were one of the first to launch an encampment back in october, and it ran for ~120 days before police tore it down. they’re back now, and this was day 2.
my friend and i were going to go to another major encampment, but we went down to this one because we heard it circulating on signal that the police were going to be called in to shut it down again.
these encampments do not encroach on the functioning of the university. they respect quiet hours, are self-sufficient, and do not leave mess. they are disruptive to the peace of mind more than anything else, not to mention they pay the school $60,000 a year to be there.
and therein lies the problem.
Tumblr media
see that? that’s why these students are occupying their schools in the first place. it is not JUST a show of moral support, but a direct response to the fact that their universities, and the money THEY pay, are directly supporting and being supported by genocidal entities.
here’s what you can do to support your local university encampment, especially if you live near a uc or ivy:
donate to bail funds for protestors that get arrested and may need legal assistance afterwards if charges are held.
figure out what your local encampment is asking for (chairs, water, lights, etc) and bring it to them.
SHOW UP! physically! there is always power in numbers. even if you can only stop by for an hour once a week, do it.
post and speak about it positively in your in-person community. counter people who talk negatively about the cause or method.
and above all else, continue calling and emailing your representatives and getting involved locally.
as we speak, if you are a tax paying american, YOUR MONEY is being used to carpet bomb and wipe out an entire people. are you okay with that? and if not, what are you doing about it?

Children conceived through rape will be officially classified as victims of crime under new government plans.
The changes, due to be made in the forthcoming Victims Bill, will entitle those conceived as a result of rape access to information about their case.
The legal changes will also make it easier for victims to receive support from police and the criminal justice system "whenever they may need it".
The law will cover all sexual offences which can result in pregnancy.
England and Wales are understood to be among the first nations in the world to officially confer victim status to children born of rape.
Announcing the plans, Justice Secretary Dominic Raab said: "No child born in these horrific circumstances should be left to suffer alone, which is why we must ensure they can access vital support whenever they may need it.
"Our Victims Bill will amplify their voices and boost support for all victims at every stage of the justice system."
The Commons Justice Committee recommended the amendments to the draft Bill, following calls from campaign groups to change the law.
The statutory 'Victims' Code' sets out the rights available to all victims who report a criminal offence to the police.
The cross-party Justice Select Committee found individuals who believe they were born as a result of rape currently find it "unnecessarily difficult" to get help, including information about their case, because they are not defined by the Code as victims - and guidance is unclear.
The change in law will entitle them to make a complaint to the police, in their own right - and to receive information and access support in the same way as any other victim of crime.
Under the ministry's plans, that help could be accessed at any point in their lives, to address issues including alcohol or drug dependency, education and housing benefit.
Research by academics for the Centre for Women's Justice (CWJ), who lobbied for the change, estimate that more than 3,000 children may have been conceived after rape in England and Wales in 2021 alone.
The change, dubbed 'Daisy's Law' by the CWJ, is named after a campaigner who born as a result of a historic rape in the 1970s.
The CWJ said there was evidence that both mothers and children who are rape victims, will "often suffer from attachment difficulties and poor mental health, which in turn can profoundly negatively affect a child's development and educational outcomes, as well as his/her wellbeing in adulthood".
