Yea it is a backflash(i think is...flashback). Btw,i will say that ,you can still ship edamura x laurent :P, you will see in the last episode. Even after the end credit scene, that everyone says ruined the ship, i don't see it that way in the context. ANYWAY, i hope i did not just hit you with a major spoiler.

Havent seen season 2/case 4 yet cause im waiting for the netflix release but (also spoilers be warned)

I am comfusion, why people say laurent x makoto is somewhat cannon but some say is not . I have not watched case 4 and working to see if vpn works but i did not so far.
