Just because you didnt know about Obama doing the same policies didnt mean no one else did. Because i did know about them. We just knew them as detention centers, and i read about them in the 8th grade about 5 years ago. And they were just as horrible. Many people died then, and it was reported by the Human Rights Watch group. Why wasnt it just as mainstream. Thats the fault of the news not the people. If more people knew then, they would be just as infuriated. Youre implying that we all did knew and didnt care which was not the case because...

The same legal groups thats suing Trump over these concentration camps sued Obama for the same thing. Trumps not being discriminated against; he's getting the same treatment as Obama did by legal action groups.

So just because you and others didnt know about it doesnt make your argument valid. Also this is a fucked up situation and as a human being you should understand no one should go through what those kids and adults are going through

trump administration just proposed monitering disabled peoples social media accounts to decide if theyre having too much fun. they will use any pictures where you look just a little too happy to strip you of disability benefits. i wish i was joking but google it for yourself if you dont believe me.

the most depressing part of this is it fundamentally misunderstands how disability manifests. someone who can’t stand up 12 hours a day can go on a 20 minute walk and take a happy picture.

if the bill should pass this 20 minute walk with a commemorative picture could lose you your livlihood.

our government in the usa are straight up trying to say disabled people should never be happy or engage with the workd around us.

Having been both an Edgy Internet Kid and a dreaded Social Justice Warrior I can categorically state that the latter garnered me ten times the opposition and personal attacks than the former ever did. So what I’m saying is that through years of research I can finally reveal that trying to better your social understanding and exercise compassion is much, much more controversial than being an asshole. Frankly at this point when I see stuff being intentionally aggressive and ‘edgy’ it just feels like the modern equivalent of playing it safe and trying to maximise marketability
