“ i know how you feel, ” maeve exhaled deeply. “ sometimes i forget how to breathe but i guess a small break would push us back this semester further ? which i also don’t want so now we’re just gonna have to power through. ” this semester was too much to handle. maeve wondered how she managed to get through half of the things that had happened. “ much need relaxation, jay. MUCH NEEDED. ” she agreed. “ summer is so close i practically can taste it ! ”

“ you  absolutely  have  a  point . we  got  this  girl . ”  she  agreed . that  was  the  last  thing  she  wanted . “  it  is !  thank  god... hey  you  excited  for  berlin ? ”

         HUDSON FIGURES MOST WOULD BE WEIRDED OUT by his offer, since he is a stranger and all.  so he smiles when she accepts, moving out of the way for her to join him in the hallway.   “ great — i appreciate it.  i hate eating by myself, it’s always so AWKWARD. “   far more awkward than making a new friend, he thinks.   “ finals are coming up for you guys, right ? “  he assumes she knows he’s not a real gallagher student.

“ SAME !  i  always  go  with  one  of  my  roommates , er  somethin’ . i  mean  like , i  don’t  always  need  to  have  company... ”  she  trailed  off  and  caught  herself  mid - sentence . “ yea  no--  i  actually  do  always  need  company . ”  what  a  sad  fact  to  admit  aloud . she  gave  him  a  not - so - happy  glare  at  the  mention  of  finals . “ ughh . don’t  even  remind  me . that’s  the  last  thing  i  wanna  talk  about--  these  professors  truly  have  no  mercy  on  us . anyways , i  figured  you  were  a  witness  protection  kid . you  uh , give  me  those  vibes , ya  know . ”

“Senioritis is so not a thing,” she mutters to no one in particular, but since Jayla is the only other person in the common room, Vida hopes she’ll listen to her whining as she throws a pout in her direction. “At least not in spy school when my livelihood and safety depends on me acing these final courses.”

jay  overhears  the  fourth  year’s  complaints , and  couldn’t  help  but  sympathize  with  her . she  knew  she  would  be  in  her  exact  spot  starting  fall  semester . “ you  may  be  right  girl , but  you’re  honestly  one  of  the  most  strong - willed  people  here... ya  know  along  with  me  of  course . ”  that  may  have  sounded  conceited  but , she  had  to  give  credit  to  herself . “ i’ll  miss  ya  lots , tho !  got  any  advice  for  me  to  survive  my  last  semester ? ”

“ jay, you know you don’t need to ask to have access to my unlimited ramyun stash, ” maeve smiled at her roommate as she pulled out a bin of ramen packets. “ pick whatever you like, babe,” she smiled. whenever she came to gallagher, she always made sure to bring her own secret stock just in case. that, and she asks her mom to send her some. “ honestly, i am on the verge of breaking. i look at these notes and it starts physically hurting me. ” exaggerated but true. “ yes ! i love that ! it’s much needed and we both deserve it, ”

“ sis , you  are  a  lifesaver ! ”  she  scans  the  bin  looking  for  a  new  flavor  to  try . “ yea  same ! like , you  would  think  these  professors  would  cut  us  some  slack , i  mean  all  things  considered . ”  or  maybe  she  was  asking  for  too  much . “ oh  hell  yea , it’s  a  date  then . lord  knows  we  could  use  some  relaxation . ”  especially  now  that  the  semester’ s  ending  soon .

“ uh  no , it’s  not  okay-- ”  she  says  scanning  the  area  for  cleaning  supplies . “ and  call  yourself  ‘stupid’  around  me  again  and  we  fighting  on  sight . deadass . ”  ah , finally !  she  spots  a  broom  and  dust  pan  in  a  corner . “ here  we  go--  “  she  starts  sweeping  the  mess  into  a  pile . “ now  let’s  try  this  again...  im  jayla , but  you  can  just  call  me  jay . your  name ? ”

“Yes, I was!” Denis quickly replied, holding a tray with lemon bars, brownies, and cookies. “I spent the whole weekend baking. So I have a lot of baked treats. You want some?” He offered from the tray with a smile. “What are you studying?” 

jay’s  eyes  widen  with  excitement , and  it  was  almost  involuntary  that  her  hand  quickly  grasped  a  cookie  from  the  tray . “ ohh  my  god , aren’t  you  sweetheart ! ”  she  stuffed  the  treat  in  her  mouth--  as  politely  as  possible , of  course . “ mmm , thank  you  so  much-- ”  she  said  in  between  bites , “ shit , man  you  should  have  invited  me , i  love  bakin’ ! ”  taking  a  brownie  next . “ eh--  just  some  shit  for  my  co-op  class... dude  this  is  sooo  good . ”

“ yea , likewise .”  the  third  year  actually  very  much  appreciated  the  notion ; she  had  completely  forgotten  she  didn’t  eat  yet . “ actually--  now  that  you  mention  it , im  starving . studyin’s  been  a  pain  in  the  ass ,  so  im  totally  down  to  go  get  food . ”  she  turned  to  close  and  lock  her  room , and  proceeded  to  walk  next  to  hudson .

jay  was  just  passing  by  when  she  saw  the  small  accident   occur . she  was  more  concerned  about  the  brunette  than  something  that  can  be  replaced . “ oh  damn , you  okay  girl ?  you  gon’  need  some  help  cleaning  that  up , ain’tcha ? ”  she  offered .

                          GREENHOUSE, 4:30PM —  Going out of her room seemed like not a good idea for Kaia almost every single time. All she wanted to do was smell followers, breath fresh air  but her long stupid fingers are only good for coding, not good in avoiding disasters such as tipping a clay pot and let it fall into the ground, breaking it into pieces.    “ Sh…shoot. I…I didn’t mean to.”    At this point, she was not sure if she is talking to the plant or the person who just walked by.  [ @gallagherhqs​ ]
