Final Mastery Journal Summary!
Mastery: Personal Development
 In this class, we gain a holistic understanding of what is required to be a successful graduate student and a master of your particular subject. Also  understanding of what mastery means and how they can utilize this concept for their own personal development, establishing a deep connection with their academic discipline and developing professional leadership skills. This class was the step to my master's program journal.
Executive Leadership
In this class, we learned the qualities necessary to be an executive leader in today’s entertainment business field. We explored decision-making processes, power, and influence, mentoring, leading organizational change, negotiation skills, and investing in and managing relationships to achieve business goals. This class taught me about the nature and characteristics of leadership, oral and written communication skills, Address challenges and Create and publish a professional blog. It provided me an opportunity to assess their leadership strengths and develop personal leadership milestones.
Project & Team Management 
This course will teach me how to turn ordinary groups of people into effective teams and also learn how to manage your very own project. The team development and strategic planning skills you will learn can easily be applied to any team, project, or industry, and will make you a valuable asset in your chosen field. This Project and Team Management course have two main objectives:  learning the principles of project management, and explore the various factors of team management and creating a productive team. Things I've learned in this course are how to plan, schedule, and budget for a project.
Business storytelling & Brand Development 
In this months course, we learn how to implement brand development strategies that help companies become icons within their industry. It covers the two main aspects of building a strong presence in the business and consumer market: storytelling and brand development. Also, we learned how to use storytelling principles to strengthen business and deliver a superior customer experience. Last we develop a brand identity for real-world business use.
Entertainment Business Finance 
This course The Entertainment Business Finance Course focuses on the financial decisions and issues facing the entertainment industry professional.  Also, we identify and evaluate entertainment business opportunities and projects using financial principles, while also learning how to raise the necessary finances to fund an entertainment company and/or project. I learned how to create, read, analyze, and present business and personal financial statements. Last, we learned to use  Pro-forma forecasts, budgets, how businesses make money, solve issues involved in finding and securing financing.
Digital Marketing 
In this months course, we learned how to coordinate marketing initiatives across online and offline channels and between desktop and mobile audiences. Also, the development of effective marketing plans that promote entertainment within a dynamic digital environment. We learned how to Identify digital trends and develop the skills to manage their own professional presence online. Last we develop a content strategy that incorporates a variety of content formats and forms of distribution and plan and coordinate marketing initiatives across a spectrum of marketing channels.
Negotiation and Deal-Making 
This month course explores the skills needed to become a strong negotiator and deal maker through instruction in topics like deal-structuring skills, self-awareness, and negotiation skill development, tools, and concepts for negotiation preparation, negotiation and deal-making, role-playing, and critiquing the role-playing scenarios. Also, we tested our negotiation and deal-making skills (instead of our arguing skills), but these are essential skills in all facets of our life. Learning valuable negotiating lessons in the entertainment industry, analyze and synthesize principled negotiating techniques and Research prepare and organize a blog entry.
Product and Artist Management
This course Product and Artist Management addresses management issues and scenarios that apply to artist management and gives students tools and strategies to help resolve these issues.  Also, we Defined product and talent/artist management roles, functions, and responsibilities using industry sources to research trends in entertainment, product development, and innovation. I am now able to expand my professional network through interviews and/or research of industry leaders after taking this class. Last, using experiential approaches and new learning technologies that will enable students to communicate effectively and share their perspectives.
Advance Entertainment Law 
This course explores advanced topics related to entertainment law, with an emphasis on entertainment contracts and intellectual property protection.  Also to understand the impact of entertainment law on their specific entertainment field and examine how evolving trends are affecting the way contracts are structured within their respective industry sector. I learned how to identify and assess legal liabilities within the entertainment industry and create strategies to reduce or eliminate these risks. We also learned how to fill out registration forms to launch a business, and research, organize and prepare a case assessment.
Entertainment Media Publishing 
This course examines current requiring the application of problem-solving techniques Students in this course are placed in real-world scenarios are currently affecting media publishing and distribution. Applying real-world scenarios to solve problems with publishing and distribution. Also, we created a Draft an industry-standard query letter. Using industry sources to research and locate an appropriate agent to shop creative content to publishers, record labels, and production companies.
Business Plan 
In this course, we draw our business, management, and technical knowledge to create and develop a formal business plan. This course is pretty much self-explanatory we just critic our business plan more and make them more informational and presentable for investors. This course helped me to make my business plan more professional for investors to understand exactly what I am trying to do with my business. Last, we explain our business industry trends, target market, business venture, marketing plan, operations/management, and sales strategy. 
Final Business Plan 
My last and final class is a summary of what I have learned in classes and what I have applied to my business plan to get investors to want to invest their money in my business.  In this final course, we completed our written business plan and present the plan to on a recorded Keynote presentation. This class we completed the financial statements with the income statement, start-up costs, and the sources and uses of funds statement needed in a business plan.

The Entertainment Media Publishing and Distribution Course
The Entertainment Media Publishing and Distribution Course focuses on issues currently affecting media publishing and distribution. We study traditional as well as new digital publishing and distribution models. The course also addresses issues within the industry such as piracy, social media, digital rights management, and legislation. We also explored strategies for protecting and monetizing their creative content and will utilize traditional as well as new distribution models to develop a publishing and distribution plan for their chosen business. 
Week 1: Agents and Publishers 
In weeks 1 we discussed real or hypothetical creative content (book, film, TV, game or music). We created content and why you need to have an agent for a traditional publishing deal. Also, we explained what agent might we choose for the creative content of our choice. The creative concent that I will create this month in the course will be a Video of hip-hop dancers. For week one assignment we wrote an effective query or pitch letter to the agent, based on your chosen creative content, research an appropriate literary, songwriting, film sales or media agent.
Week 2: LICENSING AND DISTRIBUTION
In weeks 2 we discussed Supporting Content putting together either a book proposal, a press kit, a film treatment, a television treatment, or a game treatment. We discussed what makes a good book proposal, press kit, film treatment, television treatment, or game treatment. I talked about doing an electronic press kit for my artist that I am managing. For weeks 2 assignment we Created supporting material relevant to your creative content and appropriate for submission to an agent. I did a press kit for my hip hop rap artist that I am managing.
Week 3: SELF-PUBLISHING
In weeks 3  discussion board we considered which is the best POD/aggregator site for you to use if you were going to self-publish and/or distribute your piece of creative content & Why. The sites I choose to research was CDbaby and Tunecore. These two sites are similar to one another when it comes to music publishing for an independent artist but different in there own ways. They are to help you get revenue for your music and have easy access to share with other music publishing apps like Itunes, Spotify, and Google Play. Also this week we are to update our DIGITAL LEADERSHIP PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO and write in our Mastery Journal about this months class and what we have learned. Last for the assignment we are doing a case study analysis and the goal of the assignment is to read and analyze the scenarios and provide appropriate responses to questions. 
Week 4: MARKETING AND BUSINESS STRATEGIES
In weeks 4 discussion board we will evaluate our personal media habits and reflect how they may have changed as a result of digital distribution. For the assignment, we will research and write a formal business strategy in which to digitally self-publish, promote, distribute and merchandise our own print media, music, or audiovisual content. Designing my self-publishing and distribution roadmap for the release of my Hip hop rap artist I am managing creative content.

Entertainment Business Advance Entertainment Law
                                            Mastery Journal 
Advance Entertainment law explores advanced topics related to entertainment laws, with an emphasis on entertainment contracts and intellectual properties. We learned how the digital revolution has impacted the entertainment industry. Also, learn ways to protect and exploit rights within the digital domain. Last we learned how entertainment laws play roles in the industry evolution and examining how evolving trends affecting the way contracts structured within a certain industry.
Week 1: IP Protection and Industry Risk 
Week 1 we talked about intellectual properties and liabilities we may come across in the entertainment industry. For the discussion board, we discussed industry tips reviewing an interview on Julee Milham, Chair Emeritus Entertainment, Arts, sports and laws section of Florida bar. Explaining 3 concepts that most beneficial and how they help with professional goals. Week 1 assignment was over IP Audit. We had to create a list of 4 IP items my company may use and want to protect. Week 1 assignment 2 we had a legal liabilities paper to turn in, where we researched potential legal liabilities that my company may face summarizing 3 legal liabilities.  
Week 2: Case Research & Contract Review
Week 2 we reviewed topics over industry liabilities concepts and how they identify problems that may occur within the Entertainment industry. For the discussion board post, we discussed a contract review and read the proposed management agreement and analysis 3 clauses that were a concern for the artist. Last, for week 2 assignment we did a research paper outline identifying 5 legal liabilities that might apply to my business.
Week 3: Business Protection & Expert Knowledge 
In week 3 discussed business registrations and expert wisdom. For the discussion in week 3, we did a contest review and had to analysis and discuss 3 specific legal liabilities that was a concern in the competition. As for week 3 assignment legal documents we completed legal registration forms for our business selecting an item the company could protect like logo, domain name, or slogan. For week 3 assignment 2 we had to add a goal and update our digital portfolio and our timeline we made in an executive leadership class.
Week 4: Case Application & Reflection 
Week 4 we learned about media laws and analysis. For the discussion post, we reviewed a case over domain names that were registered with someone other than the famous owner between Panavision vs Dennis Toeppen. For week 4 assignment we had to do a research paper over a supreme court case or appalling case. Last we are to make a post on Tumblr about this months course and assignments.

Product & Artist Management
In this month’s course Product and Artist management, we learned about show business and actually being an artist and product managers for different scenarios we had to pick from in order to complete our assignments. In this class, they taught about the realms of artist management, product management, and distribution within the entertainment industry.
Week 1: Show Business 
In weeks 1 we discussed show business within the entertainment industry we had to choose an artist to represent as their manager and I choose to do “The Model”. This model that I was representing wanted to take acting classes but was not good at delivering and she has already had classes in the past and was not taking no for an answer even threatening my job if I didn't help her with this problem. For the assignment in week 1 wrote a reflection and rating essay. In this essay, we reflected upon the principles and themes discussed in the asynchronous lecture. Also describing show business and analyze on manager in our textbook.
Week 2: Artist Management 
In weeks 2 discussion board we learned more in-depth about Artist Management and what it was like to be an artist manager. For the discussion board, we choose an article of our choice within our niche in the entertainment business.  The article I chose to research and what was recently happening is Nipsey Hussle Death that shocked the hip-hop industry. For assignment 2 for week 2, we researched about 2 agencies to compare and contrast and see which agency we would work for in the future. We had to explain the history, miles stones, how they started and evolved, industries, genres, and artists represented. Also for week 3 assignment in week 2, we had to update our digital portfolio on our webpages on Wix.
Week 3: Product Management \
In this weeks discussion board, we had to choose an article to search on the Nielsen website and come up with some statistics for the niche of the entertainment industry we are in.  The article I choose to research was articles about the new game that just came out called Mortal Kombat. Researched some statistics of the game and gamers who may want to play this game or plays the game on a daily. In week 3 assignments product planning project acted as a product manager over 2-3 products that will help bring revenue stream for my artist, I was the manager of that was an emerging musical artist. I choose a musical artist that will be promoting and selling water bottles, towels, and wireless headphones. 
Week 4: Pricing and Sales 
In weeks 4 discussion board we watch videos on some future social commerce direct distribution. We also had to describe how these ideas might be used in our business and how engaged virtual and digital customers learning best practices. For the assignemnt we to do a final project of best practices questionnaire packet elaborating off last weeks products narrowing it down to target market for sales and inventory check. Last we have to post what we learned on here and how and what can we take from this class and use it in our everyday life or career after we graduate.

Negotiation & Deal Making
This month in Negotiation and deal making class this month we will learn to test our negotiation and deal making skills instead of our arguing skills. Learning valuable negotiation lessons in the entertainment industry. Knowing how to use industry sources to research, communicate, and adapt to a certain style to have a successful negotiations. We also learn deal-structuring skills, self awareness, negotiation skill development, tools, concepts for negotiation preparations, deal makings, role playing. and critiquing the role playing scenarios.
Course Goals for this class was to leave this class with confidence and skills necessary to analysis a contract and to negotiate contracts and deals being made. My goal was to obtain a great sense of self-awareness and deal making business skills enabling me as a business professional to grow companies. Another goal was to establish a strong business presence and enhance producer development. Last was to obtain the necessary skills and efforts to become a strong negotiator and deal maker.  
This course has met all my objectives i wanted to learn and expand my knowledge on in negotiation and deal making this month. I think i have learned a lot about myself and the way i communicate when in a negotiation with others. I found out that i am more of a quiet communicator which is great when it comes to effective communication. Being a great listener has its ups and downs to it when in a negotiations involve active listening and engaging with others. I will use everything learn this course in future negotiations or deal making when in my career or my own negotiations.

Digital Marketing
To begin, This Digital Marketing that i am taking this month focus on strategies and metrics in all facets of digital marketing, success and measurements, optimization techniques. My goal was to learn how to search, display, email, social media, mobile and emerging. Also, to obtain knowledge in digital marketing fundamentals. In addition, learn new technologies and strategies that will strengthen my marketing skills and allow me to use them to my advantages to get more exposure. Another goal was met by me actually doing research and using Wix.com to start designing a webpage for my business and other social media sites to use for digital marketing.
This course I’ve learned different keywords for my business to make it easy to find on the search engine. I have made several things that will help me in building my business like Business concept, Competitive Analysis, Target Market, Digital Properties, Keyword Strategy, Campaign objective, Marketing Channels, Content strategy, Mock-ups, Integrated Marketing strategy, Campaign Budget, KPI’s, and Analytics. Basically, I’ve learned how to promote and sale a business using online service, social media, digital advertising and in person. 
In addition, In my professional life i will apply the things i learned in this months course of digital marketing use this info to promote and sale my business to get more customers and members to the main website for classes. Also to get views, followers, subscribers, and likes on all social media platforms to give the business more revenue to depend on. Also being able to provide services online and locally onsite in the studio. For my personal life, i will use the things i learned on my own personal website to get better quality traffic flow and easy to find when search for something that deals with dancing online. I will use my website to get better ranks in the search engine as well.

Entertainment Business Finance
Mastery Journal
This month on my journey through Full Sail University this class is about entertainment business finance. In this class we learned about how to raise the necessary finances to fund my own entertainment business company or run a project. Also learning developing financial decision-making skills, financial planning, capital management, operating expenses management and personal finance.
Week1: Financial Statements & Annual Reports
For week 1 we had a discussion post on annual reports choosing two publicly traded entertainment business companies and discuss the annual reports from the current year and the previous year. I choose to pick Live Nation (LYN) entertainment and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where i share the current sales and previous made for 2017 and 2018. For the assignment in week 1 i choose to do Live Nation Entertainment where i looked over the financial statements for the company and completed some financial calculations.
Week 2: Time Value of Money 
For week 2 we discussed starting our own businesses and explaining the business we would like to start up after graduation. For the assignment we talked about the time value of money tables and calculations also capital budgeting methods. We had 5 math questions to answer over the time value of money.
Week 3: Break Even And Investment 
For week 3 discussion was over opportunity cost explaining what it it and why is it so important and what you will face as you make decision to grow your business. As for the assignment we did break even and investment math calculation questions for companies finding the break even points and the negatives of a company.
Week 4: Pro Forma Financial  Statement 
For week 4 discussion we went over cost structures and revenue streams of our business. We filled-in the cost structure and revenue stream on the business model canvas on bmfiddle.com that we did in our class early in the course. Last for the assignment 4 we are doing a pro forma statement for our business we are expecting to start up after graduation or in the future.
This class helped me learn more about how to raise the necessary finances to fund my own entertainment business company or run a project. Also learning developing financial decision-making skills, financial planning, capital management, operating expenses management and personal finance.

Business Storytelling & Brand Development
This Class is about business storytelling and brand development learning how to build a strong presence in the business and consumer market. I learned how to implement brand development strategies that help companies become icons within their industry. After taking this course for the last 4 weeks i have learned a lot about how to better develop my company, branding techniques to make a company stand out, and how to make custom er experience.
First, in week 1 I learned about the brand gap in out discussion post on how business using storytelling to tell their story. The entertainment business I choose was B.E.T networks. B.E.T is an American paid cable channel that is targeting toward the African American audience. Now, for the assignment for week 1 we created a personal brand positioning statement and a brand website.
Second, For week2 discussion post we conducted a PEST Analysis to discover the main topics influencing the industry. The assignment for week 2 part 1 we did entertainment industry research for the industry we are going into, we showed trends, competition and target audiences for the industry we enter. Part 2 we learned how to create a business model canvas for our business on BMFIDDLE.com. The Business model canvas consist of 9 sections which is key partners, key activities, key resources, value proposition, customer relationships, customer segments, channels, cost structure, and revenue stream. 
Third, week 3 discussion post we learned about using the brand prism to understand my brand’s foundations to create brand identity. We selected one of the brand identity prisms for the company we our developing. For assignment 3 we had to create brand strategy: creative brief, pursing string brand and brand identity of our business.
Last, week 4 discussion post is about brand storytelling we selected an existing entertainment brand and discover it’s main archetype. Also to provide 2 story examples that connects with archetype selected. As for the assignment we will create storytelling project by creating as digital story (video) for the new company we are launching or already have established.

Project and Team Management
Hello, the mastery class I am taking this month is Project and Team Managment online class at full sail university for my master's degree in the entertainment business. During my 4 weeks in this class, I will learn how to create a project management plan, correctly ordering tasks, understanding and considering all factors that contribute to a successful project, and staying within budget. Also, I will know how to create a productive team matching project objectives and skill sets to motivate and empower a team to success.
Next, over the past 4 weeks, I have learned that being a project manager or team manager you have to be very organized, focused, have time management skills, and budgeting skills to complete a project on time and under budget.
Week 1 I learned how to define my project and come up with a project definition. For the discussion, we talked about brainstorming about proposal project.  Now for the assignment, I created a project definition map to show my project would be mapped out and what was need to complete the project. Week 2 I learned discussion we talked about how to analyze the benefits and drawbacks of different project management methodologies. Also “Project management methodologies are all about finding the best way to plan and execute a certain project” (Wrike, n.d.). For week 2 assignment we create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that itemizes a list of tasks, activities, resources, and a timeline for their Project Management (PM) Plan. Week 3 execute the plan and project for discussion post we learned about a standard conflict resolution policy that focuses on maintaining and restoring cohesive team relationships. The assignment we learned how to create a Risk Management Plan that is based upon our Project Definition, Project Management Methodology, and their Work Breakdown Structure. Also be able to create relevant Budgets for current and future Project Management (PM) Plans. Week 4 assignment we are creating Team Performance Management Plan and a Quality Management Plan for my Project Management (PM) Plan. Last assignment is about a comprehensive pm plan to build and present Project Pitch presentations to future potential project teammates, partners, and investors.
After taking this course I will apply all of the knowledge that I have used to help with project and team management gig in the future. I will use team building, brainstorming, conflict resolution, and budgeting as I begin to manage other artists and project in the future.

Executive Leadership: Leadership Journal
Executive Leadership: Greene VS Maxwell
Throughout this month in my mastery course, we are discussing two different leadership styles this month which is Robert Greene’s Law’s and John C.Maxwells Traits in our Executive leadership class. In the John C. Maxwell book “Developing the leader within you 2.0″ he talks about how to develop a vision, influence, motivations, values, traits on integrity, the right attitude and positive influence. While in Robert Green’s “48 Law of Power book it talks about the different laws and key aspects of leadership steps to follow to become a great leader tells you how to play the game. 
In comparison to the reading about both authors Greene and Maxwell style of leadership qualities in order for me to become a better leader in the world, I must take what these two have about leadership and incorporate it into my life and career. I think I was born a leader I was never the one to follow anyone not less I need to for educational reasons. Over the years i have motivated and influence other to dance all around me because that is my passion and i make others want to dance and want to learn. My leadership style I would say I am half Maxwell and half Greene seeing that I want to work with artist and performers I will need to build a relationship with them so that everything will go as planned. They also need to see me as caring, dedicated, ambitious and responsible to get the job done and that they can depended on me to do my job right. My 
After review this week's course reviews and reads for Maxwell chapter 6 and 7 where he talks about “Attitude” and “Serving People”. Having a good attitude is a plus on life it makes leadership better, positive atmosphere encourages positive and productive responses from others. Leaders need to empower other by never making excuses, Create a can-do environment, whatever it takes attitude, training, and Challenge people. “The heart of leadership is based on serving others, not ourselves” meaning being dedicated to helping others be their best. Like Martin Luther King Jr quoted in the book “Everyone can be great because everybody can serve as I look at life everyone is serving one and some way or form.
