Monthly Favorites: March 2019

Annyeong chingus!~ Here we are again with a brand new series in my channel! I've always wanted to make monthly favorites videos before but never really get the chance to organize everything and actually make monthly videos. I've been into aesthetic videos lately and I think (well at least for now) I prefer them over sit down videos so for my first ever monthly favorites, it's going to be no audio video. What do you guys think about these kinds of videos? But I'm not saying I won't be doing sit down videos, I will soon!

Anyways, out of all accessories, my least favorite accessory are necklaces, I don't really have a pretty neck, I don't think they suit me at all hahaha! But these pretty necklaces from Hello Amelie totally CHANGED my view of necklaces. Even though I personally don't wear necklaces on a daily basis, I love wearing something in my body and symbolizes ME. And because of that I fell in love with Idylle 2.0 from Hello Amelie. It's a personalized initial and birthstone necklace perfect for ANYTHING haha!~ Anyways, you'll see it in the video. And before I tell you all my favorites here in the description box, I better stop.

weekly vlog S01E02: shopping 🛍 and milk tea 🥤(eng sub)

Annyeong chingus!~ In this week's vlog you'll see me drink two milk teas. Hahaha. Although both times, I just got cocoa cream cheese. I really didn't get their milk tea with pearls. Macao Imperial is my fave as of the moment above all other milk teas. 💖 tbh, I always crave it😭 Aside from milk tea, you'll mostly see me buy stuff in the malls and also unbox packages. You might think I just kept spending and spending money, but don't worry, I know my limitations in buying. ~

Last Day in Taiwan: Going to Taipei 101 and Wufenpu

Annyeong chingus!~ The last episode of my Taiwan travel vlog is finally here! In this last vlog, we went to Taipei 101 in the afternoon and enjoyed the night view of taipei and it was a sight to behold. It does makes me wonder how it would look like in the morning. The ticket price wasn't a joke tho, so decide first if you want to see the view in the day or night, or maybe you can afford both? hahaha After taipei 101, my parents were too tired to go to another night market but me and my friend really wanted to, because Wufenpu is the clothing district of Taiwan! The amount of clothes there are just overwhelming! Since it was winter in Taiwan, all of the clothes being sold were winter clothes. The prices were reasonable considering the clothes were to thick. They'll be perfect for countries that actually has a winter season. I bought a coat and a beret for future use *winks*

We came home from Wufenpu at around 11 pm and we had to be ready around 3 am in the morning so I reallly didn't have a good night sleep that day. We rode a taxi going to the bus terminal that will give us a ride going to the airport. The train doesn't open til 6 am, so we had to take the long way haha.

This is my 2nd foreign country to visit after Hong Kong, and I can say that I managed to enjoy and made use of my time wisely than I did compared to when we were touring Hong Kong. Tho, there are still A LOT to visit in Taiwan that we didn't go to, but for our first trip to Taiwan, I can say we were really able to maximize the experience.

Hopefully this won't be the last time for me and my fam to visit Taiwan. Although next time for sure, there will already be a tourist visa because the no visa policy ends this July 2019. But who knows right?

Taiwan’s Chiang Kai Shek and Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall

Annyeong chingus!~ Annnnd we are down to the last day of our Taiwan travel vlogs, yey!~ In this first part, we went to Sun Yat Sen Memorial hall then right after, we went to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. These places can be accessed just by using the MTR so we saved these places for our last full day in Taiwan because we want our last day to be hassle free. Tbh, I'm not really into history, in general I mean, I'm also not that familiar even with our country's history hahaha but I still gave my full respects when roaming around the halls. The halls very much showcased the history of Taiwan's famous figures like Chiang Kai Shek and Sun Yat Sen so for those of you who like getting familiar with history, then these memorial halls are the right places for you. Also, make sure to catch the changing of guards! It was really very fun and interesting to watch!~ So yeah, hope you enjoy this vlog and also stay tuned for the very end of these Taiwan travel vlogs. !~

Taiwan, Taichung

Annyeong chingus!~ Welcome to Day 4 of our Taiwan vlogs! Finally finally finally we are down to the second to last Day of our trip to Taiwan! In this video we went to one of Taiwan's provinces, Taichung. I could say that we literally spent half a day just sitting in the TRA. Tbh, I kind of regret not taking the HSR instead, so yeah if you also plan to go to taichung, you might want to consider taking the HSR because it's faster. And since our travel time was too long, we only got to see Rainbow Village and Houli Flower Farm for a brief moment. I wasn't able to savour a lot but nevertheless, I'm still happy I got to take pictures. So bear with me if I included lots of picture in this vlog okay?~ So yeah, enjoy!~

Park Hyung Sik for Bench 2019

Annyeong chingus!~ We are gonna be taking a break from the Taiwan vlogs first, and let me show you guys my vlog from the Park Hyung Sik Bench Fun Meet here in Manila, this Feb 16, 2019. I know PHS from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and I absolutely loved him there! If you guys haven't watched SWDBS, better start now! Are you asking me if I watched Hwarang? hahaha you caught me, tbh, I haven't. I should, shouldn't I?

The event was sooo much fun, well it's to long to say here so better watch my vlog! Oh yeah, the vlog is 30 minutes long and I also explained in my vlog why it's that long. So please don't say it's too long in the comment section hahaha because I already warned you. Anyways, I'm so thankful for Bench for bringing him here!~ And hopefully it won't be last.

Taiwan Maokong Teahouses

Annyeong chingus!~ This is the continuation of our Day 3 in Maokong, Taiwan! So after reaching the top of the gondola ride, we explored Maokong in search for their famous teahouses. You have the option to explore the left road or the right road or if you can, explore both! But for us, we just went to the left road which is Zhinan road and upon walking for several minutes, we saw several teahouses and restaurants. In the restaurant we ate at, the food was really nice but pricey and for me the serving size is small. So if you really want to eat authentic maokong dishes be ready to pay a little over your budget.

Maokong is by far the coldest place I experienced in Taiwan. When we went there, it was raining so the rain adds to the coolness of the place. It would have been better without the rain, but even so, I still enjoyed our trip in Maokong. It was short, buuut it's one of the most beautiful places I've seen so far. ☺️

Taiwan Maokong Gondola

Annyeong chingus!~ We will start another day in this taiwan vlog series!~ We spent our day 3 inTaiwan by riding the Maokong Gondola and touring the teahouses up in the mountains. It's my first time to ride a cable car ever in my life so excuse the excessive amount of clips of me in awe at the beautiful scenery😍 Riding the cable car really released alot of stress in me and it was relaxing and exciting!~ (but partly scary😂)

In the next video, you will see some famous teahouses of Maokong. Stay tuned!~

Taiwan Vlog: Shifen, Modern Toilet and Raohe Street Night Market

Annyeong chingus!~ Fiiiinally we can end Day 2 of our Taiwan travel vlogs. This video will be Day 2 Part 3 and here you will see us flying sky lanterns in Shifen, eating dinner at Modern Toilet Restaurant and strolling around the Raohe Night Market at Songshan.

I super enjoyed the experience at Shifen and it was fun to write our wishes in lanterns and get to see them fly up to the sky and hope that our wishes can come true. After a whole day of travel, we were all so hungry and we decided to try out the concept restaurant Modern Toilet. Even though the price range is definitely not on the affordable side, we were still pretty much satisfied with what we ate, it was worth it. Lastly, DO NOT GO TO RAOHE WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY FULL! HAHA! Raohe is fuuuull of streetfoods that we did not even get to try out much because we were still full from dinner. But still, it did not stop us to try out the foods we really wanted to eat.

So yeah! This ends our Day 2 in Taiwan. More to come!~

Taiwan Tour: jiufen and shifen waterfall

Annyeong chingus!~ This is Day 2 Part 2 of my Taiwan vlogs. In the last video we left off by leaving yehliue geopark and going to jiufen. You will see in the vlog how much we struggled standing in a local bus going up to Jiufen. We also made a small mistake of going to jiufen in weekends because it was soooooo crowded. After Jiufen, we went to Shifen Waterfall and good thing we did because that place is the total opposite of Jiufen. It was peaceful and the breeze was cool because of the waterfall. Hope you enjoy this vlog, and in the next vlog, we will be flying sky lanterns in Shifen and eating at Modern Toilet. Stay tuned for more!~

Taiwan’s Yehliu Geopark

Annyeong chingus!~ Welcome to Day 2 of our stay in Taiwan! For today's travel, in this first part of the video, we went to Yehliu Geopark via the Klook Bus Travel Tour. I personally booked our Bus Tour in Klook back when we were still here in the Philippines. The Bus Tour is composed of Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen. Going to these places in Taiwan can be pretty exhausting because they are located in Taiwan's mountainous area, so going to these places via a tour bus is veeeeery convenient. Also, these three places are apart from each other so you can not go to each just by riding a train or bus. So if you also plan on visiting these places when you go to Taiwan, I recommend booking a bus tour.

Taiwan Tour: Ximending Night Market, Bopiliao Historic Block and Longshan Temple

Annyeong chingus!~ This vlog is Taiwan Vlog Day 1 Part 2! In this vlog, we visited one of Taiwan's historic places much like Philippines' Vigan: Bopiliao Historic Block and one of Taiwan's most famous temple: Longshan Temple. Both places are just one station away from Ximen station so it's very convenient for us because we had a loooong day of plane ride and hotel searching, but we still wanted to tick one or two places off our list! Me and my friend even decided on an impromptu street food mukbang! We just had to, because we might never have the chance, and I am so glad we did!~

This vlog ends our Day 1 in Taiwan and I am so excited for you guys to watch the rest of vlogs.~

First Time In Taiwan

Annyeong Chingus!~ First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! I’m back to v/blogging this 2019 and hopefully, “fingers crossed” that I can commit to my v/blogging more this year. 

If you haven’t heard, Taiwan recently has this no-visa policy until July 2019, so we took the opportunity to be able to explore Taiwan during this period. Our travel period was December 21, 2018 to December 26, 2018 so yes, we spent our Christmas in Taiwan. It was...a pretty cold Christmas in Taiwan haha! But still, the Christmas spirit here in the Philippines is still the best. 

This vlog shows our airport experience and how we manage to find our hotel. I always enjoy watching airport and hotel hunting vlogs, I don’t know why. 

This Taiwan travel series will be composed of several vlogs, but I promise to keep them less than 15 minutes long. Soooo, I hope you guys enjoy watching and seeing Taiwan as much as I enjoyed the experience!~

Rapunzel Hair Day & Night: Hey! Deux Yeoza Review

Annyeong chingudeuls!~So we finally became a Charis Celeb about a few months ago and I couldn’t be more 🙌!~ I just fell 😍 with their Charis Celeb community and how the brand itself was treating their influencers, they’re sooooo caring. The opportunities they open for you and the opportunities you open for them are in equal terms so everything is in perfect sync. 

So the first item I got from them is this Rapunzel Hair Day & Night Hey! Deux Yeoza. Correct me if I’m wrong but based from what I’ve read, “deux” means “about them” and yeoza is another way of spelling out “yeoja” which in Korean means “girl” or “lady.” So the literal translation is “about them girls.” I’m not 💯% sure if I managed to translate it correctly so don’t hate me, neh chingus?~ 

So this Hey! Deux Yeoza is a leave in , daily nutritive treatment cream infused to nourish and repair dry or damaged hair. It prevents hair from drying out, repairs split ends, and restores hair’s body and shine. The non oily, non sticky formula deeply nourishes without weighing hair down or altering color. It delivers beautiful shine and a subtle scent. Now, let’s break down the product’s claims. 

Leave in cream: So the product has two versions, one to be used in the morning and one used in the evening. You can either use it on wet hair or dry hair. On wet hair, you apply it in damp hair before using styling wands. On dry hair, you apply it to protect your hair from harmful external environments. 

Prevents hair from drying out: My hair is not dry to begin with, so I cannot give my 💯% opinion about this. ALTHOUGH, upon using this product for weeks now, whenever I use both the products, my hair is soooo freaking soft and smooth. I am not used to feeling my hair that soft and smooth so at first it actually freaked me out a bit hahaha. Since, my hair is not really that dry but the product was able to soften and smoothen it out further, this product is PERFECT for those girls who really do have dry hair. 

Restores hair’s body and shine. Yes, this product also made my hair look healthy and shiny. 

Non-oily, non sticky formula: The consistency of the both the creams is thick. When I first applied it on my hair, I felt like it would take ages for my hair to absorb it, but surprisingly, my hair absorbs all the product quite fast. The cream also do not leave a sticky feeling on my hands (which would make me so irritated if it did) and is not at all oily.

Subtle scent: Both creams have its own unique scent, but don’t ask me to describe because all I can say is that it’s not a floral, fruity or any kind of scent I’ve smelled before. As I’ve said, it has this subtle fragrance. I don’t 💯% like the scent, it’s just 🆗 for me. The scent stays on your hair ALL day and ALL night long. 

So as yeoja’s we should not only care for our skin but also give attention to our hair. I personally 😍 to take care of my hair. I kind of have my own routines on how I care for my hair, but I’m not ready to share about it for now hahaha. Again, this product is perfect for girls who have dry hair because trust me, this product give sooo much moisture to the hair. Although, I don’t suffer from dry hair, at least now I know what product to go to whenever that happens, but hopefully it will not!

Watsons Haul March 2018

Annyeong chingudeuls!~ For todays post, let me share with you a quick mini Watson’s Haul I have for this month of March 2018. The item that I have bought are just my normal daily routine essentials. Anyways, I hope you still find this post helpful!~ 

1) Oil Blotting Sheets from the brands Pretty Secret and Finess. I NEVER leave without a blotting sheet in my bag because I oil up pretty easily. This is a daily essential for me. I want to find a cheaper alternative to my favorite oil blotting sheet. 

2) Nylon scrubs from Watsons. I always scrub my body during shower to get rid of dead skin cells. I started to like this nylon scrub from Watsons because they don’t break and lasts long.

3) Schick’s Exacta 2. This is a razor blade for women and it has thin blades that is more gentle compared to the normal ones. This is intended for women.

4) Myra Vitawhite Lotion. I love using whitening products ( I KNOW this is a sensitive topic so let’s not dwell on this okay?) but they are drying for the skin! So I am in search for a good whitening lotion that at the same is moisturizing also. I have been using this Myra lotion for months now, but I still don’t know if I love it.

5) Purederm Hydro Soothing Cucumber Pads. I have BIG DARK circlesvand I am in search for a cheap yet effective eye patches.

6) Beautyfix Hand Cream. One of my occupational illness is having DRY hands because we use powered gloves in the laboratory. Now, I am in search for a good moisturizing hand cream that is also cheap.

7) Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This is my first time using a Micellar water so I am really excited to try this out. This blue one is for oily acne prone skin while the pink version is for sensitive skin.

8) Burt’s Bees in Wild Cherry. I recently broke out badly and my acne was uncontrollable! So my dermatologist gave me intense topical medicines that are suuuuuper drying for my face. One of the biggest effects is the surroundings of my lips is super chapped, now I want to find a good moisturizing lip balm to use.

Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint Authentic vs Replica

Annyeong chingudeuls!~ Nowadays, replica makeup are WIDESPREAD we can see them everywhere from marketplaces to malls. First and foremost, I just want to say, I DO NOT discourage anyone from using these replica makeups. It is purely up to you chingus if you want to try them. This content of mine is just for my own reference and for other chingus that are curious on how to know if their wine lip tint is authentic or not, araso?

I have bought my authentic Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint from a local seller from Shopee. Let me break down for you chingus the difference it have compared to the replica one. 

First, the packaging is SUPER similar. The authentic box and replica box has the same wine burgundy color and they both have this rough texture to it. The print in front and in the back is the same but what I noticed is that the printing of some details are not consistent, they are not properly spaced which says that the printing is just done on a whim. But the biggest difference we will be able to see that the name of the shade is wrong. I have the original RD03 shade which is called Merlot Burgundy, but in the replica box, it says there Nebiollo Red. I don’t even know where Nebiollo Red came from. 

Next is the product itself. Physically wise, the width and height of the miniature wine bottle is the same. Although the texture of the replica is glossy while the authentic one has this matte texture to it. The writings in front and in the back are the same. But then the replica has bold letters while the authentic one does not. 

Lastly, let’s get into the feel the replica tint has. The authentic wine lip tint has this watery consistency to it which most tint obviously has. The color is that of a wine burgundy color which is true to its shade name “Merlot Burgundy.” It smells and taste like real wine to me too, haha. NOW, the replica wine lip tint has this liquid lipstick/watery consistency to it. But the bad kind and the ‘it does not feel good on my lips’ kind of feel. The color comes of reddish pink to me. And the scent smells like mixture of chemicals, meh. I felt so uncomfortable with the feel it gives my lips so I immediately removed it from my lips right away. 

Sooooo, those are the points I want to give you chingus. I hope these informations are helpful for all of you.
