About the Book I find this book intriguing but somehow there are not enough twists and adventures to get connected with it, the prequel book of this series was quite good and it was engaging but this one lacks the potential together to keep the readers bonded to the story. I was quite excited to read this book as my favorite character came back in this book the story was dull but somewhere I think it could be better. The ending of the book gave me a thrilling experience and also made me excited to read the next book in the series. I hope the next book of this sequel might have some engaging story to make me more excited to read fast as I lost all my reading skills. The book can be finished in one sitting If you will read with concentration, I took a lot of time to finish it because I did not have free time to read due to my college schedule. The background setup of this book is Mumbai and some hill stations from where the love between characters starts to blossom. I would like to recommend this work to those readers who love to see some twists and family dramas in action. Glimpse in a blink The scene unfolds with a couple celebrating their anniversary at hill stations the boy asked the girl out to marry him and she was delighted to hear this after a long time being together and said yes to the proposal at the same time she also gets tensed to think about the one person who will not permit this mate but the boy makes her understand that they both will try their best to get the permission to live their life together. The second scene starts when the couple goes home and after some time girl found out a dead body inside her apartment laying dead on her sofa with his hand slit blood oozing out of it, Tanvi got afraid seeing this and everyone gathers and the police arrive at the scene and then investigation starts. Tanvi Shukla, working as a receptionist in a company with her boyfriend, is an orphan now as both parents died in an accident and she is in the care of her father's best friend and business partner. I am always ready to explore the mythological world and its controversial world and when I came across this book, its story and the reviews I heard about it made me choose this book, and now as I finished this book I feel delighted to choose this book. I have heard a lot of stories about the characters of Mahabharata in this book I saw some stories in action and it gave a mesmerizing experience to see everyone in action, the story of Draupadi is sad about how she was humiliated in front of the whole sabha and that moment was a crucial moment of her entire life and is the saddest part and also a turning point of the story which wrote the Mahabharata wartime, Draupadi curses everyone to die because of this day and takes an oath that she will not comb her hair till she bathes in Kauravas blood, bheema takes an oath that he will pierce Dussasana's chest and drink his blood. He will break Duryodhana's thighs and hit his head when he prostrates on the ground and Arjuna oath to kill Karna. There is one paragraph in the book which gives me a chill in my spine about the Mahabharata story as we all know Mahabharata has been written by none other than Ganesha himself ( the god of beginning and the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati) and Sage Vyasa narrated it. This is the line that gave me a chill "The gloomy light played tricks on me: it seemed that two figures were sitting inside the circle. One of them was the sage. The other - way, he appeared to have an elephant's head." This book has given me mixed feelings about the books and because of it, I am confused to say how much this book gave me a smile and Disappointment. The beginning of the book was astounding a beautifully woven, it took my soul and was spellbound with the story Amish has created. I was touched by Ravan and Sita's understanding and the back story of Ravan was marvelous a true masterpiece by Amish. Some scene in the book touched my soul and when the character was in deep pain I felt their sorrow and when they were happy I was dancing on the moon, Amish has put his hundred percent into putting out the emotion he created behind Ravan's backstory and sita conversation. In this story, Amish has captured the essence of Ravan's good side and also shown the bad part of it but in this book, I only saw Ravan's good side how he sacrificed himself for the sake of the upcoming future which he would have created if he lived more, in this Amish has blended a story in which he had justified the character of Ravan, he is a wise and well-learned man of every art, It's wonderful to see how the author has molded this story, it's quite intriguing and a riveting tale. As the story moves on war topics it gets itchy to read and sometimes is boring to even proceed, I think Amish could have given more thought to writing those parts and I am angry about how he repeatedly used some parts, it was frustrating reading and re-reading those lines. The language of the book is quite lucid and it could be read easily, he has tried his best to justify every character but in some, he has done blunders. Thank you for the copy @harpercollins .... This is the prequel to games of thrones and even a thriller than that, although I haven't read it I have seen the series which was terrific and bloody, and in this, you will see the dragons dancing in the sky burning all who don't kneel for their masters. This does not just a book it's a history of the Targaryen empire, how it starts and ended filled with fire and blood everywhere, everything is politics here and everything could end with war and fire. I am impressed by the beauty of this book every page gives a new detailed background story of the Targaryens' empire and how they were, some were like Fire running through veins. It will show the world where women just have one duty to obey to produce an heir and only heir and after that, they have no work, but some women are also like fire and everyone works as they command. A world where being male is heroism and being a woman means becoming someone's wife and producing children like factory produce products. The Dance of the dragon is thrilling when one dragon fights with another and fires all over the place those scenes deserve a big screen. I feel like the series which is made in this book lack the story the book has, the book shows the other story, and the series shows another. There are lots of politics involved in the book at every point in time but in the series, I don't see any politics going on, just show king pleasure. The book is slow paced but the details it has justified why it's slow because each thing connects with the bigger thing in politics of empires and dragons. Targaryen tradition and lifestyle are different from normal families, in their family sister can marry their brother, an uncle can marry his niece, and a cousin to a cousin, which means anything is possible.
