Jusssstttt a quick one because I know there’s a few lurkers in the Caryl tag.

Don’t come on my posts telling me why you don’t ship Caryl, why you think they’re better off as just friends, or whatever. Because at the end of the day, I do not care. My Caryl posts are tagged as #caryl and, usually, #caryl ONLY. So if you’re seeing a Caryl post by me,,,, the likelihood is that you’re in the Caryl tag.

I do not care that you don’t ship them, I simply don’t. Ship what you want, don’t ship anything at all… why do you think that I care? Like not being rude (definately being rude) but what do you expect me to say to you if you’re coming on my blog telling me “I don’t ship them because x y z” “I don’t think they’ll ever go cannon because x y z”..?? Like? Okay???

Because Zeke wasn’t okay with that… Carols HUSBAND wasn’t okay with any of that… he asked Daryl to LEAVE because their “purely platonic” bond threatened their MARRIAGE after 6 WHOLE YEARS of Daryl being gone.

If you want an example of purely platonic girl/boy besties … Daryl and Rosita are RIGHT THERE. Their friendship was literally the only thing S10/11 got right.

I love Rick Grimes crying. Every time he does it's so beautiful to see. Rick is a 'mans man', your stereotypical male fighter. He's strong, protective, a leader, a provider, violent, loud, family orientated, a role model and so many other stereotypically masculine things. And yet he cries. He cries often. He cries in front of people. He cries in front of other men. That is such a beautiful thing. He is so scared of everything; of the outside, the violence, his image for Carl, the state of the group. But he isn't afraid to show emotion. I love you Rick Grimes.

As someone who ships both ships with my whole heart I have no idea why the Caryl and the Richonne fandom are at odds (yes I know I know, certain fans like to talk down on each other. But learn to tune it out, and you’ll see that both ships can and do co-exist)

You guys who ship one but hate the other ARE MISSING OUT!

Double dates? Carol and Michonne being besties and gossiping about their idiot husbands? Daryl and Rick bromance? Daryl and Carol babysitting for the Grimes babies while Rick and Michonne have a date night? AUs where Sophia and Carl survive and are besties and plot to get both couples together? The list goes on

Personally I can’t write one without the other. I can’t write a Caryl fic unless there’s background Richonne and visa versa. I encourage you to open your heart to the other ship and see how many endless fanfic tropes you can open your heart to.

i’m sorry but some people don’t get nine. he’s not a grumpy asshole, he’s grieving and alone and lost. and yet he still has so much love and curiosity and excitement, which are the hardest things to reach when you’re drowning in grief. but he’s one of the silliest and cutest doctors. he’s just also carrying the weight of losing everything and being constantly confronted with reminders of his loss and the possibility of more loss. and he’s in love, by the way!! desperately in love and knows it’s doomed, just like all of his loves. especially now that everyone who is like him has died. but he’ll hug anyone. he’ll smile and laugh and ask questions and promise a couple in love that they will get their wedding. he’ll take rose’s hand and hug her and laugh with her in the face of the worst danger because at least right now he does have that love, even if he knows he will lose it, and the freshness of his grief only makes him treasure it more. hope that helps!!

I find it hilarious to think about Daryl leaving Judith, RJ, and Carol behind after the soul crushing goodbyes to go and bring Rick and Michonne home is just such comedically bad timing.

Because he had all these sad goodbyes then 2 weeks later* Carol is on the radio like “bestie, my love, they actually came back,,,there was literally no need for you to leave… you leaving me and the kids actually didn’t help at all now I think about it ?” but the radio isn’t that good and Daryl doesn’t hear any of that and Carol is like “well great, now I have to wait ANOTHER WEEK for him to get to the next radio so I can tell him” and then he doesn’t actually make it to the next radio because he ends up in ACTUAL LITERAL FRANCE and Carol is like “this is getting RIDICULOUS” and packs a bag and is like “kids,,, now that your real mom and dad are back I’m going to find out why your OTHER dad hasn’t come home yet I love you guys xoxoxo”

And she turns to Rick and is like “I know you expected to be welcomed back by your brother/ lover but he decided to play the hero again and tried to find you first so now I’ll go and bring our shared husband home… yes I know Michonne this is literally the same thing you had to do,,, no the irony is not lost on me… love you all see you soon xoxo” and sets off on her European hot girl summer while Daryl is just like …. “Oui 🇫🇷🥖”
