HISTORY OF ONLINE SHOPPING
INTRODUCTION
Online shopping is the process where consumers directly buy goods or services from a seller in real-time, deprived of an intermediary service, over the Internet. This innovation has changed the concept of traditional shopping. Where parents go to the market and buy necessary items for their use. Now technology has grown and made many things easy to fulfill consumers’ needs and wants. Even though companies are selling pens and pencils into an online platform.
Currently a large number of people globally purchased items online. As per current stats, online buyers are increasing steadily. You can find below a picture which indicates a gradual change in percentage.
HISTORY OF ONLINE SHOPPING
At the end of the 20th century, the World Wide Web server and browser were created by Berners-Lee in the UK. When it opened for commercial use in 1991. From the 1990s, electronic commerce planned to include enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), data warehousing.
Online shopping has grown slowly and gradually. In 1994 advancement was on its way when online banking and the opening of an online pizza shop took place. During the same year, other organization also started their business in an online platform. For instance, Netscape announced SSL encryption of data transferred online, which has become essential for secure online shopping. After that many (today's') giant online companies launched its online shopping sites such as Intershop, Amazon, and eBay.
In the beginning, electronic commerce known as the facilitation of commercial transactions electronically. In the 1970s, EDI and EFT was introduced which allowed the business to send commercial documents such as purchase order or invoices electronically. Also, ATM, as well as telephone banking, were accepted which formed electronic commerce.

Since then a major part of the world associated with online shopping and it also becomes a popular business. Many companies offering various goods and services to the public. People become well aware of “e-commerce” with the ability to purchase various goods by using internet security protocols and electronic payment services. Even top ecommerce web developers can be found on the internet.

Significant Challenges Need to be Studied Before the Development of Mobile Application
Mobile app development bearings a number of challenges, not like the development of traditional web and desktop application. There are some challenges are associated with the quick fluctuation in business natures. Some others are related with platform and hardware fragmentation, user experience (UX), expertise of software developers, security and tight schedule and budget.
Under the light of research challenges can be summarized as follow for developing high-tech mobile app.
Platform and Hardware Fragmentation: The number of smart-phone operating systems are in used such as Android and IOS. Both system have various version and each version required different specifications, hardware, tools, programming languages and Integrated development environment (IDEs) so as to make apps for each platform. Therefore, two teams of developers typically need to be formed, if a native mobile app is required to run on both Android and iPhone devices for targeting one specific platform.
Further, there are several mobile hardware repeatedly change in terms of memory, graphics, speed, sensor, inadequate energy supply, OS version, computational power, processing and processing capability. According to the International Journal of Technology in Education and Science (IJTES), this can be very challenging because 31 hardware features necessary by the application are not supported equally by the targeted mobile devices even certainly different versions of the same operating system. For this situation, mobile app companies or developers need to practice more to make their app dynamic in terms of getting hardware resources.
UX and UI: User Experience and Interface
Android apps development or IOS apps development both execute different interaction methods such as gesture, voice, orientation etc. The device is used in an extensive situations e.g. dark, remote location and so on. These new methods and practice framework several affect the overall UI design of the app. Furthermore, both need additional programming and testing effort. However, screen size fragmentation adds new dimension of complexity. In small screen, users expect to catch the information effortlessly at the same time and small data can be displayed.
Consequently, online android app developers or iOS or companies need to give additional time and some extra effort to design apps in order to display the relevant information for the user. Additionally, in some situation, the design of the User Interface is taken as one of the most crucial actions in the development of mobile apps.
Financial plan and Schedule: County-wide android application services in Dubai or mobile app development is consider to be rapid as to keep pace with fierce marketing schedules. Some people think or claim that development of mobile projects are not big and need small budget. This is a common blunder of all because it is a complex process including different stages.
Quality Assurance Problems: Mobile applications are comparatively different from desktop and web application. For example, mobile apps are dealing with inputs from the user and inputs from the frequently changing surroundings e.g. location. Even though, mobile device and smart phones are still have some limited resources by comparing with high-tech laptop and desktop computers.
Security: One of the major challenge is security in the mobile app industry because of the presence of different devices, operating systems, open platform and malicious apps that could be installed without detection.
User review feedback cycle: Usually apps published and frequently downloaded from play store or app store, people around the world can rapidly feedback rating and put detailed information about the apps, often its faults and limitations. Likewise, competition among different apps are typically hosted in the same store whether it play store or app store. This put additional pressures to development groups in order to fix and extend app features to look after user feedback and competitors, themselves rapidly extending and releasing newer versions of their apps.
Conclusion:
The development of mobile application environment is highly competitive, vigorous and uncertain. For that reason, every day the mobile app industry face unique challenges. Therefore, in this study researchers were focusing on “agile method”, which has been proposed as a natural fit for software development of mobile applications to deliver a solution for these challenges.
