help shimaa and her family with rent (july 2025)
hello everybody! we at kfsf are reaching out to you on behalf of our friend shimaa (@itsshimaa200 on tumblr). shimaa is a graphic designer from gaza who is currently tasked with caring for her family - particularly her elderly grandmother and her chronically disabled nephew, jihad. currently, they are renting a small room in the gaza strip, which allows jihad to stay healthy and out of the elements. she has asked us to make a campaign to support her in continuing to rent the place that they have for the month of july.
we are hoping to raise $445 in total - $400 is the base price of the rent, and then on top of that is a $25 transfer fee and a flat $20 withdrawal fee. we are hoping to raise these funds by june 30th, so that the family can receive the funds and pay rent by july 5th.
if you are able to help us, it would be much appreciated. the easiest way to assist would be to donate using the link below:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this campaign!)
after we raise the money, we will wire transfer the funds that we receive to gaza. the money normally takes between 3-5 days to arrive. once the money arrives, shimaa will confirm the transfer and our team will update the paypal campaign to show proof of donation.
thank you all for your generous support in our past campaigns for shimaa's rent. we could not do this without you. if you are able to continue supporting, we would appreciate your continued support! if you are unable to at this time, please reblog this post. we would like to spread it to as many people as possible!

help shimaa and her family with rent (june 2025)
hello everyone! as the month of may comes to a close, we are here to put forth another campaign for shimaa and her family to rent the small apartment they have been living in for the past few months. in previous months, we have assisted them with rent, and any extra we were able to get went towards buying food and other supplies. please feel free ro check my blog's tag (cygnettes.tumblr.com/tagged/shimaa) for details. since the blockade has gone on for so long and food/supplies are scarce, we hope to do the same thing this month!
since the money transfer takes a few days to arrive, we hope to complete this campaign by 5/28. we are hoping to raise $445 - $400 for the cost of rent, and $45 to cover the fee that ahmed needs to pay to withdraw any money from the atm.
the easiest way to contribute to our campaign is through our paypal link below:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this campaign!)
using the money we collect in this paypal campaign, we wire transfer the money to ahmed. the money will often take 3-5 days to arrive. once ahmed receives the money, he pays the landlord in shimaa's stead.
if you have the means, we would deeply appreciate your support. shimaa and her family have been suffering daily, and have lost more family members in the increased onslaught of bombing.

any amount helps us reach our goal. if you are unable to support for any reason, don't worry - sharing with a reblog or promoting this campaign on your own helps us reach more people!
thank you for all your support thus far. we couldn't do this without you all!

Thank you @kiri0cloud and everyone who got me to 1000 reblogs!
famine is severe in gaza right now, and the prices of food have gone up! in the past, we ran campaigns to buy much-needed protein for the children of this refugee camp; now, we'd simply like to ensure they have something to eat.
prices change quickly, but our coordinator in the refugee camp, ahmed, hopes to obtain $1200 to buy and distribute vegetables throughout the camp. the exact distribution plan is to be determined; however, you can check our previous campaign track records below. i will be covering bank and transfer fees personally.
@cygnettes @kuuhaiyu @palestinerebloggerq @palhelp @palestinerebloggerq @palesttino @helpgazachildren
from ahmed's words, "The famine in Gaza has never stopped, and the people of the camp feel uncomfortable with the lack of eating. There are vegetables in the markets. It is preferable that we finish the campaign in the middle of this month. The children are starving."

URGENT: help shimaa shelter her family for may 2025
hello everybody! we have a new fundraiser for you all that we are hoping to close relatively shortly (more on that later) to cover shimaa and her family's rent for their current shelter for the month of may.
we are hoping to continue sheltering this family for as long as possible throughout the genocide - we have done so for the past few months, if you can believe it! (please see proof of donation for april's rent here, and feel free to browse my #shimaa tag for other proof of donation posts.)
we are hoping to raise $445 by 4/30 so that we can transfer the money to shimaa and her family in time to secure their current housing situation.
if you can, please consider donating using the link below:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this fundraiser!)
since this is very short notice, i will also be matching donations for this campaign at the end of each day. that means we only need $220 to meet our goal.
if you can, please consider donating. if you are unable to donate, please share as widely as possible. we appreciate all the help we can get! thank you.

help shimaa pay her university fees
hello! happy april to everyone! over the course of march, we completed three campaigns - truly incredible work! we normally stick to two, but we were so grateful for everyone's support and generosity during the month of ramadan.
we are coming back in april after a pause to launch a new campaign for our friend shimaa (@itsshimaa200). at the beginning of the year, with the help of one of our generous team members, she was able to restart her schooling so that she would be able to finally get her degree after the forcible pause the genocide put on these plans. she is a diligent student that has been working hard to make ends meet through the genocide. despite everything that has happened within the past month, she is still taking her tests and getting good marks. we would like to help her cover the cost of her schooling once and for all so that she can follow her ambitions wherever they may lead.
with your generous support, we are hoping to raise $645 in total BEFORE april 23rd so that she can pay her fees by the first of may. that is only 19 days from now!
$600 would cover the cost of her schooling, and $45 would cover the cost of the bank withdrawal fee so that ahmed can pull the money out of the atm from the transfer.
if you are able and willing to help us reach our goal, the easiest way to do so would be to follow the link below to our paypal campaign:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq to donate or send money via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this campaign.)
we will collect the money through this paypal campaign, and then wire transfer it to shimaa and her family once the goal is reached. generally, the wire transfer takes about 3-5 days to reach our friends in palestine. once they are able to withdraw the money, they will send pictures and proof of the donation so that i can post on tumblr.
thank you guys for continuing to stick with us as we work to support this family. there is so much to do and so little time to do it. we pray the genocide will finally end - but until then, we will stay by this family's side and support them. if you can donate (even $5!) please consider doing so. if you can't, please reblog and share this post widely - we'd love to get as many eyes on this as possible.

help shimaa shelter her family (april 2025)
hello! as some of you may know, @kuuhaiyu and i have been working with shimaa (@itsshimaa200) and her family to provide her with housing throughout the genocide. last month, we were able to raise enough money to fund her rent for the month of march. now that march is ending, we're hoping to do the same thing for the month of april!
thankfully, the rent has remained at a lower price despite the renewed assault by israel on the gaza strip. we are hoping to raise $445 by march 26th, as it generally takes 3-5 days for the money transfer to shimaa's family to take place.
if you have the means, please help us support this family! shimaa is the sole caretaker in her family as her mother was wounded in the genocide, her grandmother is elderly, and her nephew jihad is chronically ill. it would mean a lot to continue to have shelter - it allows her some modicum of comfort and it gives her a place to continue working and earning money for her family.
if you are able, please click through the link below to donate:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this fundraiser!)
as always, if you are unable to donate, it would be great if you could reblog this post to get it the reach it needs. :) thank you all for your continued support!

help buy solar panels for the gaza refugee camp!
hello everybody! thanks to your hard work, we were recently able to meet our goals for two previous campaigns: one for ahmed, and one for shimaa (proof of donation post coming soon!). after the ceasefire was declared, the people of gaza are in a state of uncertainty - and the people of ahmed's local refugee camp are no exception. while some still had houses that remained standing (though with significant damage) and were able to return, many now are forced to live in continued displacement as their homes were completely demolished.
due to the seriously damaged state of gaza's infrastructure, the refugee camp that we work with has extremely restricted access to electricity. many people have to walk a long ways to charge their devices, and each charge costs a fee of around $3 each. many people in the refugee camp use their devices to continue working remotely to support their families (like shimaa), contact their family if they are spread out across the gaza strip or abroad, and to document their lives through the genocide. ahmed himself depends on electricity to stay in contact with us and with the people of the refugee camp in order to respond to any urgent situations that arise at all hours of the day.
as such, ahmed believes it would be beneficial for the people of the refugee camp to set up their own solar panels, both to reduce the expenses that the people of the camp have to pay and to give them more independence.
we are setting a goal of $1600 for this project.
the easiest way to donate is through our link, which will redirect you to our paypal page:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq to donate or send money via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this campaign.)
how it works:
per ahmed’s request, simk and i are collecting money on his behalf. the money that is collected in the paypal account will be sent via wire transfer to ahmed as soon as we meet the fundraising goal. it generally takes 3-5 days to transfer and for ahmed to get notification that he can withdraw the money. ahmed texts us as soon as the money is transferred and put to use.
ahmed will take videos and photos to document the process of buying and setting up the solar panels for the camp. i will share selected videos and photos on my blog so that you all can see what we can do with our collective efforts!
a small note here: to preserve the privacy and dignity of the displaced, and to avoid issues with the tumblr staff, i will be careful with what i choose to show publicly. ahmed will also refrain from publishing his own photos on social media for this same reason. if you have any other specific requests you would like to see as proof of your donation going to good use, please DM me.
please help us complete this campaign! things are still extremely difficult for the people in gaza. i can't even truthfully say that they are no longer under active threat as the israeli army continuously ignores the ceasefire deal. this will be a small, but crucial step in helping the people of the refugee camp persevere after the genocide has taken so much from them.

URGENT: help shimaa shelter her family for march
hello everyone! as you may know, last month we raised $525 for shimaa's family to continue sheltering in their rented apartment. that time of month has come around again!
we have good and bad news. the good news is that the rent has been reduced by almost $100. yay!!! in addition to the fees for us to transfer the money, and for ahmed to withdraw the money, we are hoping to raise $445. the bad news is that we need to raise this money by february 25th, as it generally takes 3-5 days for the money to be transferred to ahmed.
if you can, please help us support shimaa and her family and provide them with shelter. as previously stated, many of her family members are disabled and it would severely impact their health to relocate on short notice and to be without accommodations. any and all extra funds will go to this family to purchase food, cleaning supplies, et cetera.
if you are able, please click through the link below to donate:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this fundraiser!)
every dollar helps - even a $5 donation means a lot to us and helps us get closer to reaching our goal. thank you to everyone that has helped support us so far - i think it's almost been 6 months since i have been working with this family and with you all, and it has been even longer for simk. we truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read our posts and donate their time and money to us. i do recognize some names that come through and it's so sweet that you all continue to check in on us. we could not do this without you!

URGENT: help shimaa shelter her family
hello everyone, we are in need of funds urgently as shimaa's rent is due quite soon! rent is due on the 5th of february, but due to the fact that it takes a few days for the bank transfer to occur, we are hoping to raise the required funds by january 31st. we are hoping to raise $525 as quickly as we can so that we can make this deadline.
these funds will ensure that shimaa's family, most of whom are disabled or were made disabled by the genocide, are able to rest comfortably and keep in good health. shimaa's young nephew, in particular, is severely chronically ill and was orphaned by the israeli occupation. it was almost impossible for him to stay healthy while in the tents.
any and all extra funds will go to this family to purchase food, cleaning supplies, et cetera.
if you are able, please click through the link below to donate:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected]. you do not need a paypal account to donate to this fundraiser!)
every dollar helps - even a $5 donation means a lot to us. thank you all for your consideration and for standing by us as we continue to help out our friends shimaa and ahmed. we couldn't do this without you!

TIME SENSITIVE: buying chicken for the children of gaza
hello everyone! thank you all for your generous support in our previous campaigns. we've been able to support the refugee camp through some truly trying times on top of the ongoing genocide - through extreme food prices and scarcity, through the winter chill, and even through losing their tents. our team on the ground has been extremely grateful for your continued support. it means the world to all of us that people have sent donations and left kind messages of support on all our campaigns.
we now call on you all to help us with a new task: feeding the kids a meal of chicken, which has reentered gaza for the first time in months! and, better yet, the price has gone down since the declaration of the ceasefire from $30 to $15!
each chicken can feed ~4 people. that means with a donation of less than $20, you can feed 4 currently displaced people in gaza!
i'm marking this as time sensitive since we are unsure how long supplies will last. it would be amazing if we were able to close this campaign by january 25th. to do this, i am pledging $100 to help us reach our goal.
we have a set goal of $1600, and anything beyond that would go to acquiring more food for the refugee camp.
the easiest way to donate is through our link, which will redirect you to our paypal page:
(alternatively, you can use paypal.me/qquwq or via simk’s P/P email: [email protected].)
how it works:
per ahmed’s request, simk and i are collecting money on his behalf. we will be using the same method to transfer money to him as we have been using to transfer to support to shimaa. the money that is collected will be sent via wire transfer to ahmed, and it takes 3-5 days to arrive.
once the money arrives, ahmed will take videos and photos to document the process of buying and cooking food for everyone. i will share selected videos and photos on my blog so that you all can see what we can do with our collective efforts!
a small note here: to preserve the privacy and dignity of the displaced, and to avoid issues with the tumblr staff, i will be careful with what i choose to show publicly. ahmed will also refrain from publishing his own photos on social media for this same reason. if you have any other specific requests you would like to see as proof of your donation going to good use, please DM me.
please help us reach our goal! below you'll find a continuously-updated tally of our totals. let's get this campaign to the finish line!
$784 / $1600 | 49% | $816 remaining!!

time sensitive: buying meat for children in gaza
hello all! you may have seen the recent news. for the first time in months, chicken is finally being allowed into gaza. ahmed, my contact in gaza, would like to buy meat for all the children in his refugee camp.
you can see proof of our recent campaigns here: rebuilding tents / providing food
we don't know how long chicken will be available, so we'd like to seize this opportunity as fast as we can to supply a healthy meal to the children.
by our current estimates, meat is about $30/kg, and 1kg can serve 4 children (1kg = 2.2 pounds).
so your $5-10 donation can feed one child in gaza today!
every amount makes a huge difference. it would mean the world if you could donate/share as you are able!
as usual, updates and proof of donation will be posted on @cygnettes' blog, and you can feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
thank you in advance for your generosity -- we couldn't do this without you.
