Milan were convincing last night. Calhanoglu was dope with a goal+assist . Kessie dominated the midfield, as always. Those two outshone others. However, Milan weren't better with Castillejo & Saelemaekers starting on the wings. AC Milan's victory over Shamrock Rovers confirms the progression of coach Pioli's side to the next round of qualifying. A 2-0 win in a single-legged tie at the Tallaght Stadium thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimović and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. And it's these two, who feature heavily in my eight post-match stats. Let's take a look: 1- AC Milan are unbeaten against Irish opponents in European competitions (W2, D1). 2- AC Milan are unbeaten in their last fourteen games in all competitions (W10, D4), their longest run since November 2008 (16 games under Carlo Ancelotti). 3- AC Milan have kept a clean sheet in all of their five UEFA Europa League qualifying games (W5, 12-0 on aggregate). 4- AC Milan have scored at least one goal in each of their last eight matches in European competitions, their best run since 2008/09 (nine games across UEFA Cup and Champions League). 5- 3137 days after his last goal, Zlatan Ibrahimović has found the net in a European competition with AC Milan (15 February 2012 v Arsenal in UCL). 6- Considering all competitions, Hakan Çalhanoğlu has been involved in twelve goals in AC Milan’s last seven games (five goals, seven assists). Furthermore, the Turk has both scored and provided an assist in four of his last seven games with AC Milan in all competitions. 7- Zlatan Ibrahimović's goal was the first scored by an AC Milan player in Ireland: the Rossoneri have now scored at least one goal in 33 different European countries. 8- Alexis Saelemaekers has provided his first assist with AC Milan. 🎥 #RoversMilan #SempreMilan #UEL https://t.co/le7KKp30sV https://www.instagram.com/p/CFRBG9Hn0yk/?igshid=108rk9q418b95
