Version 2 (and final one). I wasn't happy how first painting turned out so i did another one. Same subject and concept but a different color key. This painting is a personal piece. I took inspiration from my previous work where i take an animal and use it as a symbol of something that's going on in my life - snake as a symbol of fear or as in this one stag as a symbol of change (because they shed their antlers every year). Major influence on how I painted this piece was game called Gris (where you're putting back together pieces of sculpture that was broken (and that sculpture is representing main character). Gris is dealing with sadness and depression, but i had different meaning in mind - casting away everything you don't need, shedding everything unnecessary, everything that burdens you.
