I love the world in my head. It's a place I can escape to if I feel overstimulated. If I have to do a chore, or do something else I don't want to do, I can just jump into a character that's usually much more willing to do it than I am. When I need to sit still and or be quiet for something, I can dive deep into my world. Everywhere I go, everything I do, gets added to my world in a context that makes sense in its culture and timeline. Songs will add to the lore of my world, or the backstory of a character. People I meet turn into characters or have parts of their personality added to an already existing one. Classwork becomes the queen's papers, laundry and dishes becomes the tavern maid's chores. Meeting someone new becomes meeting an alchemist, blacksmith, dignitary, or foreign royalty. Often my ADHD forces me to escape reality to truly live in it, and that's ok.
