Ok so the main Pokemon deck I have at the moment is a Grass-Type deck, and it mainly utilizes 3 Pokemon evolutions: Decidueye, Sinistcha EX, and Hydrapple EX. First off, just in case you’ve never played the games, the way to win the card game is by being the first to draw your 6 prize cards, which you get to do every time you knock out an opponent’s Pokemon. Most Pokemon let you draw one prize card when you knock them out, but there are also EX cards that let you draw 2 prize cards when you knock them out just because they’re a lot tougher and tend to do a lot more damage.

Decidueye has an attack that does 170 damage, which is the type of high damage that you’d usually see on an EX card rather than a basic card. However, the drawback is that you have to discard an energy from your hand every time you use it. I’m usually able to stack up on energy cards pretty quickly, so this isn’t usually too big an issue for me, and it’s a bit of a low-risk, high-reward card, since even if I get knocked out doing as much damage as I do, my opponent still only gets 1 prize card.

After that, I can switch into Sinistcha EX, which has 2 different attacks to choose from. One does a respectable 120 damage while also healing 30 health from each of my Pokemon, but the attack that works really well with Decidueye allows me to deal 20 damage for every energy in my discard pile, then shuffle those energies back into my deck. Not only does this do more damage the longer that I have Decidueye on the active spot, but now all the energy is ready to be used again instead of being wasted in Decidueye’s attack

Finally I have Hydrapple EX, which does a base damage of 30 which doesn’t seem like a lot, but it does an ADDITIONAL 30 damage for every single grass type energy attached to every one of my Pokemon in play, including the 2 energy that I need to attach to use the attack in the first place.

There’s a few more Pokemon as well, and I haven’t even begun to talk about all my supporter cards yet, but this ask is getting long enough as is so I’ll just leave it at that for now lol
