This may be unpopular but Tristan aint no good leader ,he let one of members die due somthing less important, no wonder meliodas dosent really trust him or feel like the can up huge responsibilits on tristan. And never really say anything when isolde ,Jade or Chion do somthing wrong . You saw him lol

Pretty sure Chion and Jade don't really see him as friend ,mabye the relationship is forced.🤷‍♀️ idk..

This kind of a really harsh take tbh .

Tristan is only sixteen years old he obviously isn't meant to be " a good leader " . He's still a child you can't expect him to be as good as his father or howzer or zeldris or king.

And Jade dying isn't entirely Tristan's fault, sure if he had dealt with Io more rapidly maybe, MAYBE Jade would've survived but again Jade's death is obviously the guy who killed an innocent teenager's fault and not some other teen who wasn't sitting on his ass and was fighting his own battle as well .

And Meliodas trusts Tristan a whole bunch that isn't the issue . The issue is that Tristan doesn't trust himself ( not using his demon side and whatnot ) so he can never use his full potential and holds back . And sadly they are in a war so if Tristan refuses to go all out, Meli has to let someone who won't hold back carry out the mission ( that person being Percy )

And Jade already told us what he thought about Tristan, he cared for him as a friend and also admired him but simultaneously hated his guts so their friendship is a bit odd ?

Even tho Jade was jealous of Tristan being Isolde's hero, we've still seen him show some care towards Tristan during the chapters where he was alive so I do think Jade must've cared for him at least a bit .

And I am sure that Chion does care for Tristan à lot as a friend but he's kinda turned most of that care into an unhealthy obsession as a coping mechanism since Tristan was the one who saved him from abuse, so he turned his gratitude and admiration for him into deep obsession and possesivness ..But overall I do think he cares for him .

I actually like that Tristan isn't some hybrid Mary Sue perfect prince or whatever.

He has flaws and he makes mistakes even tho all of his friends think that he's perfection incarnate .

That makes him anxious and angry towards himself because everyone has all of these expectations towards him and he doesn't want to let him down .

In that aspect he's extremly relatable because everyone wants to make their close ones proud of them .

I think that Tristan is a wonderful character and in time he will overcome his insecurities and become an incredible leader .

But for know let him learn, let him fail, let him get back up on his feet and try again .

Oh..!

Although Mertyl's transformation was a bit short to my taste, this was still a very heartwarming chapter and I'm glad to see the family issues being resolved .

This chapter has made one thing clear, King and Diane are amazing parents and Mertyl is a very good kid ( sorry for bashing you in the past 🤣💀 )

But I think the cat is outta the bag for Nasiens lol, look at his impassive face and the way Tioreh is staring at him . I think the boy is putting two and two together .

Boy I can't wait to see the conclusion of this arc with both King and Sixtus being in action and the talk that Nasiens will probably have with Kiane .

It’s the middle of the night.

Tristan is, of course, asleep when Lancelot sneakily enters through one of his large windows into his chambers.

He softly lands on the stone floor inside and makes sure to once again lock the windows behind him. Then, he turns and quietly walks over to Tristan’s large bed where the younger prince sleeps, taking off his bow and settling it onto one of his smaller chairs, then removing his hoodie and throwing it somewhere in his room, and then taking off his shoes until he’s left in only his pants.

Lancelot sighs as he looks over and his eyes scan along Tristan’s sleeping form. His long hair is braided so it doesn’t get tangled and his mismatched eyes are ever so softly closed whilst he breathes evenly.

He carefully climbs into bed with him, being so so careful not to wake him up, and manages to get underneath the covers when Tristan mumbles and twitches before his eyes flutter open with a yawn that escapes his lips.

“Mmm…Lance?” He slurs and reaches up to rub at one droopy eye. “You’re here…”

“Shh,” Lancelot hushes him. “Yeah. I’m here. Go back to sleep.”

“Missed you,” Tristan murmurs as his mismatched orbs fight a losing battle of staying open. “Come snuggle.”

Lancelot huffs. “Fine.”

Tristan coos with sleepy joy as Lancelot crawls underneath the covers and into Tristan’s awaiting arms. The elder prince wraps around him protectively as the younger curls wraps his arms around his back. They settle against his fluffy mattress, like puzzle pieces fitting together, and Lancelot relaxes into his embrace.

Tristan holds him and presses a sleepy kiss against his cheek. Lancelot’s mouth quirks upwards and he tilts his head to peck Tristan’s lips.

“Sleep,” Lancelot urges.

“Still gon’a be here ‘morrow?” Tristan murmurs and Lancelot hums.

“Yeah,” He promises as Tristan falls asleep. Lancelot watches as his breathing begins to even out again and his lips part as he inhales and exhales ever so softly in the fists of his peaceful slumber.

“I’ll be here when you wake up.”
