The Guardians of the Apple Orchard

Hii, hello, this is my Dreamtale AU! And my Dreamtale, Dreamfell, and Dreamswap AUs will be slightly altered to match it. <3 Name is in the workshop.

Warning: Mentions of death, revolution, royalty, being turned to stone.

Basic Story: A quartet of brothers born to a royal family who have been charged to guard and protect an orchard of golden and black apples. Around the orchard, was a stone garden for those foolish enough to take an apple and eat it.

These apples are not meant to be in the hands of the common man, nor the royals. They are incredibly powerful and body changing. The stone garden around the orchard are humans who were foolish enough to take a bite of the apples and changed, so in order to regulate their magic, they were frozen in stone.

It is said, a single bite alone could make someone have god-like powers and those who do take a bite, are trying to become the guardians of Negativity, Positivity, Dreams, and Nightmares. Only the chosen four can become these. They need the blood of one of the original planters of the orchard.

These brothers are named Dusk, Bliss, Comet, and Umbra. Dusk, the eldest, the one to take the throne as time comes, wanting to rule with his brothers. Bliss, the twin of Dusk, he is to be the main advisor of his older brother and is very prepared for the job. Comet and Umbra, the younger twins, are meant to take on roles separate from ruling. Umbra is meant to take over as the military head, and Comet is meant to be the head of the Treasury.

Dusk was engaged to the human Rivea, a noble girl who was found in the orchard several years ago and was taken in by a family that was close to the royal family. Her family was killed during a war, and she was now the co-head of her younger brother. They are known to have a deep romantic relationship.

As they grew, the humans around began to fear and hate them. It was like a switch had flipped as rumors began to spread around the kingdom. The anger and fear of being unable to enter the garden, the humans of the kingdom began to form a revolt and revolution against them. Though, the royals had thought they could quell the masses until they presented Rivea's head as a declaration of war.

When the revolution started, in a bid to save his family from dying, and in a bid for revenge, he took a black apple (Negativity) and took a single bite. This forcefully changed him into what you would know Nightmare to be. While he took out the revolution, he hurt his brothers in the process... So, in order to stop him and save him, they too took a bite from the apples and ended up changing to match him.

As Dusk tried to manhandle control again, he had realized his brothers and him were turning into stone, like those of the stone garden around them. He reached for Bliss, who reached back before they turned completely to stone.

Tusche and Lenovo would mention an abandoned AU with a beautiful stone garden, before there was a single...

Crack...And stone began to fall... And the brothers awoke.

Random Fun Facts:

All of them had beautiful wings... Dusk's having the most enchanting wings as they glowed in the moonlight and speckles in the wings looked almost like stars to the naked eye in a sea of dark purple. Bliss's wings drew the attention of all those around, they had an orange to gold ombre that made people think of flames. While Comet and Umbra had matching wings where they had an ombre of gold into purple. Their wings also enchanted many.

After the apple incident, Dusk's wings, once the most beautiful, became waxy and unable to fly with. Comet's wings became like true flame as a result of the apple's influence. Due to Dusk losing control, while Umbra still maintained his beautiful flame-like wings, one of his wings is semi-featherless. Bliss's wings became semi-flamelike and phoenix like Comet's but until Bliss, he purposely cut one of his wings to match Umbra.

They all had severe effects of the Apples: Dusk became the Guardian of Nightmares, and he can change into a negativity goop form at will, but mostly remains in his passive one. Comet now has spots of positivity goop on his body that catch fire when he's particularly emotional or feeling strong. Umbra and Comet both have large amounts of equal positively and negativity goop on their bodies, so they catch fire and have tendrils like Dusk.

Dreamtale belongs to JokuBlog, but this is myyyy own AU.
