Whom have I in Heaven but You? And there is nothing on Earth I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. | Psalm 73:25-26

If you know me, you know I’m a peacemaker. I’m the least controversial person on the planet and yet, I was met with this staggering question… “What if our hands aren’t the only thing that need cleansing?” . I nervously responded in prayer, “Oof. Lord, that kinda stings… I’m gonna need you to elaborate a bit more if you want me to address this publicly.” . Here’s the deal: We all feel this undeniable urge to clean. We’re washing our hands insistently, decluttering our homes with gusto and disinfecting household surfaces. We’re combating an invisible enemy. We’re at war against a merciless virus to which no one is immune.
We’re fighting a physical war friends but a war still is waged within us. A spiritual war, fought, not with flesh and blood but against the enemy of our souls… No amount of Lysol and soap can remove the dingy filth of sin. Thankfully there is a cure for the internal disease that plagues us all. Jesus. He cleanses all impurities better than any sanitizer on the market. He sanctifies us. If only we would let him.
Sweet sisters, lets focus on not only on cleansing our hands to prevent catching illnesses, but to also come before the throne of grace and allow God to cleanse our hearts and purify our souls.
PRAYER: Gracious and Heavenly Father, purify our hearts and purge what is not pleasing to you. It’s your loving kindness that leads us to repentance. Forgive us of our sin. Please cleanse us of all impurity, help us when we stray and guide us to your tender mercy today. Amen.
SCRIPTURE: “So then, dear friends, since we have these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬‬,CSB — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2QQ4cDJ

“See, you don’t need to be fixed from being broken; you need to understand how to not be broken. You don’t need God to come and heal your pain; you need God to come and teach you the heart of God so that the pain doesn’t have a landing strip, ‘cause if it’s still about you, you’re pain waiting to happen. If somebody owes you, somebody’s going to fail you. If your expectation and your trust and your faith is in men, you’re in big trouble. Who’s learned that one? You don’t put your trust in flesh; you put your trust in Him and then you manifest Him to flesh. And you never let a human being ever again be the reason for who you are; you let the One who’s inside of you be the reason for who you are.”

You don’t have to love this season of life, but don’t overlook it either. God doesn’t need perfect conditions to create beauty and purpose.

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”

You can decide over your thoughts, you’re responsible for it, what you set your mind on, will always come out of your actions.
People didn’t just do adultery because they can’t help it, but rather they feed their mind on sexual fantasies until they’re molded by it and acted on it.
It starts in our inner thoughts, that’s why you need to renew your mind by setting it on things above. You need to focus on what’s God-glorifying instead of playing in the game that the devil started.
