I was thinking through what else I’m looking forward to this holiday season and I realized I haven’t mentioned it on here, just on discord, but— MY MOMS BEEN MAKING ME A REALLY COOL ART THING??

I think I’ve talked about it before, but my mom has been a quilter for most of my life and in the last few years started doing these really cool fabric collages, and it was my turn to request one so I asked for a phoenix cause I’m obsessed with this one art piece I did in art therapy ages ago

Anyway, my mom has been working on it and THIS was the last update I got???

I’m so excited for it?? Can’t wait to see where it’s at by the time I get there this weekend

Chapter 16: Glowing

We’ve finally arrived at the chapter I wrote the whole damn fic for, which also means we’re finally earning the E rating!

Ed and Stede explore a natural wonder…and each other. Featuring phosphorescence, non-reality-based sex on the beach, and a lot of talking it through. 

The light riots around them in gold and green and Stede’s alight too, incandescent with something he didn’t know he could feel. They’re floating, weightless and entwined, and Ed’s tongue is in his mouth, and he wants to write a sternly worded letter to…someone about how poorly kissing is described in every book he’s ever read.

Fic Summary

Stede and Ed have fought their way back to each other, killed Benjamin Hornigold, and faked their deaths at Okracoke Island. Now they’re setting sail into their new life with the crew of the Revenge.

But the past doesn’t go away just because they’ve declared their love. The crew is still unhappy about that whole “attempted murder” thing, and neither of the co-captains is very good at relationships.

When the Revenge finds a cursed necklace, things begin to go wrong. The co-captains must lay the curse to rest, come to terms with the things they’ve done—and maybe, just maybe, work their way towards true intimacy.

Along the way there’ll be storms, swordfights, handsome rival pirate captains, naval battles, seagull goddesses, and lots of talking it through, as a crew.
