I hAvE bEeN sAvEd

So I wanna address stuff in season 7, specifically Klance and Adam.

So I’ve been seeing a lot of people ranting about the writers, saying that they were ‘queerbaiting’ cause we apparently got no Klance this season and how they killed Adam off almost instantly. I’m gonna tell y’all one thing, chill.

Many times the voice actors as well as producers have said the fandom get mad over things too quickly, telling us to wait. They do things for a reason. Adam was killed for a reason, obviously a lot of you are too blinded to process that he may not have died. He could have escaped the jet before getting shot at or somehow survived. Lauren wouldn’t have emphasised Adam being Shiro’s significant other just to kill off a gay guy and upset the entire fandom. He’s alive somewhere, somehow and him and Shiro will meet up in S8. The same con Shiro being canonically gay was announced she said she wanted the show to end on the highest note possible. Everything is said and done for a reason, so please just be patient and stop hating on writers.

Concerning Klance, you guys are blind. The amount of Klance we got in that season was amazing. We got three bonding moment parallels, two of which were with Keith and his family members. Oh yeah, if y’all missed that Acxa is clearly a relative of Keith’s, most likely sibling. Krolia obviously told him about her during their time together, which explains why he knew her name. She’s obviously not Texan’s child though, her being Galra and all.

Oh yeah, that third bonding moment parallel? That was with Krolia and Kolivan. Judging by their interactions, there was something between them. They most likely were together before Krolia met Cowboy Kogane and had Acxa. If not, Krolia may have left earth pregnant and her daughter came out with stronger Galra genes than Keef. I mean, they look extremely similar and we well know by now that family genes in vld are strong af. Acxa and Keith being related means we don’t gotta worry about a heterosexual relationship between the two. Plus Acxa was part of the Lotor’s Lesbians and now has the questioning bob so stop worrying about any Acxa x Keith. It also explains why she appeared at the end on earth to see Krolia and Keith at the grave.

That out of the way, the Klance bonding moment was paralleled three times with Keith along with others with strong bonds.

Now we get to the Klance moments. In E3 we see Keith trust Lance to lead the others to safety. He could have asked Shiro or Krolia who were also present but no, he asked Lance because he trusts him enough. We then see a parallel to S3, the Klance shoulder grab. The positions the two males are standing in mirrors that scene, taking the shoulder touch away. They are on the same sides and Lance is wearing a worried expression like in the other one. When Keith walks away, Lance watches him for at least for seconds, worry written all over his face. He doesn’t want anything happening to Keith since he has already lost the team leader once.

Earlier on in that same episode, there’s an exact Klance parallel taken from the first episode. You guys remember ‘uh, the name’s Lance?’ Scene when both Keith and Lance were holding Shiro up? We got that parallel with them holding Coran, except their positions are switched with Lance on the right and Keith to the left. So we got a parallel of Klance meeting in the first episode, Keith trusting Lance as leader, Klance shoulder grab parallel, Lance gazing worriedly at Keith and later on in the episode we get the bonding moment parallel with Axca and Keith. Mmmmm :,)

What about E4, ‘The Feud ’ huh? Near the end, the paladins are voting for someone to leave, someone to not spend the rest of their lives trapped. Lance could have choice Allura. It’d make sense taking into account he has a crush on her, as well as her being a powerful Altean and also the person who held one of the higher ranks among the paladins, right? But no. He voted for Keith. He didn’t need to give such a heart felt reason too, he could have teased the mullet like usual. But ya know what he said? He said he’s their leader. Could have left it at that. Then said ‘Plus he’s half-galra. Sooo.. I think he’s like.. The future’ Before giving the biggest smile, arching his eyebrows lovingly. Pidge also makes the exact same expression when she talks about Hunk later on, and as we know so far Punk will be canon. Lance’s expression after so fondly talking about Keith was no mistake.

And Keith- he voted for Lance. Clearly he is closest with Lance on the team judging from S3. Hunk and Pidge were off doing their own thing, Allura was with Coran which left him and Lance alone to bond. Not to mention the emphasis on Lance’s loneliness after Keith left in S4. They had obviously grown closer during that time. Keith had a reason to vote for Lance, but instead he just said he didn’t wanna be stuck there with him for eternity. Why did he say that? Keith is the saltiest boy ever and most likely is still holding the grudge from the bonding moment. Lance rejected the bonding moment in S1, rejecting Keith’s affection. So Keith did it back :,)

With the voting, they didn’t need Keith and Lance to vote for each other. If anything the voting would have made more sense if:

Lance voted for Allura. (His crush)

Hunk voted for Pidge. (Best friend)

Allura voted for Lance. (Tease Allurance)

Pidge voting for Hunk. (Best friend)

Keith voting for himself. (Lone wolf)

But they didn’t do that. Instead, they got Lance to affectionately talk about Keith, Keith being a salty spicy boi, then Pidge talking affectionately about Hunk, legit paralleling Lance’s fond smile.

Them growing closer before Keith left obviously had an impact on Lance. I mean, he was alone and isolated himself most of the time. This explains why when the paladins are floating in space and Keith begins to get angry at Allura and Hunk, the first and only thing Lance snaps back at him with is that he left. He left. That wasn’t something to defend Allura or Hunk. Keith left and that’s the only think Lance held against him. Lance snapped because of that.

This is all just in the first few episodes. I haven’t even mentioned the fact that they paralleled the Klance handsign moment from the Bulmera ep in S1 with Pidge and Keith.

As well as that in E10 when Lance and Veronica crashed and it went to Lance waking up, you could hear the paladins yelling for him to respond. Keith being the last one, first yelling ‘Lance!’ In the same worried tone as everyone else. Getting no response, he panicked. You can hear his tone completely change, his voice cracking. He sounds desperate when he yells a second time ‘Lance, come in!’. Then Lance gets up. Moments later we see Lance ready to give up, ready to die when the Galra ship is coming towards him. He closed his eyes and braced for impact. Like Keith when he was going to kill himself to save the team in S4. Lance also yells in desperation to him at that point, yelling “Keith!! Don’t do this!!��

There were actually more Shallura moments in this season than Allurance. Allura isn’t developing a crush on Lance. She blushed when she saw Veronica and knew what she was going to say would sound embarrassing. There wasn’t really any other Allurance moments other than that.

In addition, you can notice in the outro of the Feud episode with Bob in the stars, there are red and blue stars glowing around. Also when they were trying to go through that huge worm hole(?) of light that made Coran, Cosmo, Romelle and Shiro freeze in time; the colours changed before Lance and Keith used their bayards to literally combined and upgrade Voltron. It went from purple, to red then to blue.

Listen, I know you guys may be mad at the new season. Honestly though, it was amazing. You’re all seeing things wrong because you expected something else, and I get it. But there’s still another thirteen episodes left. It’s not the end. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Season seven will be a good segway into season eight.

We got Keith and Hunk becoming closer, which is a step closer to Klance. Hunk is Lance’s best friend and knows him better than anyone. Keith now trusts Hunk and will probably tell him about his feelings for Lance while Lance is telling Shiro about his feelings for Keith. Again, Shiro being Keith’s older brother figure, knows the mullet better than anyone. On top of that Shiro knows the struggles of coming to terms with his own sexuality so he can help Lance feel comfortable in his own shoes. Regarding Allura, she’ll be too busy with this Altean girl who appeared at the end of S7 to even think about Lance.

As our lord and saviour Jeremy Shada said; Parallels aren’t coincidence. And as we have seen in this season, it was full of Klance ones. On top of that he said Lance would be someone’s first choice and not a rebound.

Allura is Lance’s past.

Keith is Lance’s future, as he said.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk, I hope I revived some of you from dealing with season seven. There’s more Klance moments but if I listed them all this would be too long ^^’ just rewatch S7 with all this in mind. Please don’t hate on the writers or producers, they work very hard to give us such a quality show. Remember- Patience yields Focus :,).. idk how that applies here but just be patient please.
