Teaser Excerpt:

Dark. That was the only word coming to Savannah’s mind as she lifted her skirts and climbed the marble staircase leading to the almost forbidding front door. Is this really to be my home? Savannah fervently hoped that the black-stone mansion wasn’t as dark inside.

If she had taken a moment to observe the sky above her, she would have noticed that the entire dome had turned to black and purple clouds, swirling like there was no tomorrow. Such was a typical sky at this location, although at rare times it did change to a normal earthly sky.

Savannah paused to rest at the top of the stairs, glad she had taken the stairs slowly. Otherwise she would have tired herself out more than she already had. “Those stairs are a force to be reckoned with,” she muttered to herself as she raised a hand to lift the ornate door knocker.

But before she even laid a fingertip on the onyx shape, the door suddenly opened for her, revealing a silent, well-dressed young man who she assumed was the butler.

“Miss Savannah.” The young man’s voice was deep, rich, almost otherworldly as he swept a low bow in Savannah’s direction. “Welcome to Black Mirror Mansion.”

hello all! I’ve decided to try my hand again at writing fantasy; I’ve written it before (but never a romance that I can remember), and certainly never put it out for the world to see. The first chapter might take a while to post because it’s definitely more in-depth (as far as pre-planning goes) than my western novel, but it shouldn’t be terribly long!

Since I can be a little bit eccentric at times, I’m probably going to release a teaser post featuring a moodboard or two, some mood songs, and snippet of the first chapter. (Reason I’m saying this is a strange thing to do: probably nobody is really going to see this blog and so I’m pretty much just doing this for the heck of it.)

Anyway, I’m really excited to write this new story and I hope that whoever sees it enjoys it!
