Interesting 6p findings
Fists of Fury has some interesting caveats to it. The optimal rotation in Bloodlust ever since 6p has become the best gearing route to take was to cycle Fists of Fury and Rising Sun Kicks back to back.
Tumblr media
Normally, this will achieve 3 ticks of FoF for every cast. However, with 15.38% haste, your Rising Sun Kick comes off cooldown too quickly. Assuming you are instantly canceling your Fists of Fury with RSK, you will only achieve two ticks. Since Fists of Fury is usually cast 5 times in that window, you can lose an entire FoF’s worth of damage.
Tumblr media
This can be a big deal, but it kind of depends on fight length. It’s hard to quantify how much of a loss this can be as the simc apl is not currently perfected (will only cast 10gcds in Serenity, for example.) primarily because of how clunky canceling FoF is in the apl. As such, this isn’t really an issue that can be simmed. Once more updates for the Serenity apl are pushed, we might be able to see some changes.

T21 Bonuses
I’m always surprised how quickly new bonuses and content is datamined. ToS was just released what, two weeks ago? Nonetheless, here are the (super early) t21 bonuses:
Item - Monk T21 Windwalker 2P Bonus - Free Blackout Kick Damage Increase (New) When you gain the Blackout Kick! effect, the damage of your next Blackout Kick is increased by 0%.
Item - Monk T21 Windwalker 4P Bonus - Free Blackout Kick Generates Chi (New) When you consume Blackout Kick!, you have a 0% chance to generate 0 Chi.
The 2p bonus was an idea that was popular in the community for a while and one that Blizzard seems to have taken notice of. Blackout Kick! has been a lackluster proc and would often throw somebody off rather than benefit them.
The 4p bonus is kind of out of nowhere and is already widely regarded to be a terrible idea. Ignoring the fact that it’s a proc tacked onto a proc, depending on the circumstance we very well might end up using SCK in single target to dump chi.
We’ll see what happens especially when the numbers are released. This might give the new legendary helm some more potential, as its proc is just a forced Blackout Kick! proc. Babylonius’s spreadsheet reports that the percentage gain to blackout kick will need to be around 476.5% to be on par with 2p19′s bonus. [This is not my finding.]

Let’s get started.
With 7.2.5 around the corner, I guess this wouldn’t be the worst time to start this up.
