In all of my leisurely wedding planning, I’ve come to discover that my favorite silhouette for a wedding gown is probably the ‘sheath’ style. So like, it follows the natural contours of the body and is very elongating. Not that our wedding is any time soon anyway, but it was nice to start thinking about.

Connie: What are the teary eyes for??

Connie: I know, my life is like some movie or book or something.

Connie: You're welcome. I think you are, but I don't know everything, so even if for some reason you're not, it'll be okay. Because we were not much more than kids with notions of idyllic traveling romances, and I know now you can't meet someone and be in a place to marry them in under a month; nothing works that way. I think if I'd know Q longer, or even kept getting to know them better in the after (rather than just falling into what we assumed should be wedded bliss and honeymooning), maybe things would've been different. However I don't regret any of it for even a second, as it's helped me grow in so many ways.

Izzie: You just answered your own question. It was like a book or a movie or a FAIRY TALE 🥺🥺🥺

Izzie: That's beautiful. I was like, so scared to actually go through with this. And now I know that even if things don't work out, it's possible to move on with no regrets. You're such a gr8 big cousin. 😋

Connie: I have a life, Isabella, secrets are just as much a part of mine as they are of anyone else's.

Connie: You can ask anything and everything you want, it's why I told you. We met while traveling, and the whole thing was definitely a whirlwind. There was no engagement, there was just us deciding to do it spur of the moment (very Frank & Claire Randall going to meet his parents). We decided, Jac was traveling with us and thus stood as our witness, and it was a tiny little village ceremony; some local tradition or other. It was very nice, and we kept on traveling together (making our way back home so they could meet mom and dad, maybe make it 'official'), but somewhere along the way it stopped working. There was no divorce because it wasn't legal as far as we knew. There wasn't any sort of big fight or dramatic breakup, it was more of mutual decision.

Connie: Honestly Iz, I was 21 and almost certain I knew all there was to know about myself and the world around me. I'd been traveling on my own for half a decade, I'd met my platonic soulmate not too long before, and so assumed my romantic one was just around the corner. I'm not saying Q and I weren't in love, but it wasn't the kind of love that's meant to last forever, you know? If we met up again, I'm sure things would be nice and civil, and if we were both available, they might even get mildly romantic, but we will never be it for each other; not like you and L'ogan.

Izzie: omg the DRAMA. The ROMANCE. The STAKES.

Izzie: I am so honored that you told me, and thanks for your sage wisdom on the topic. I like to HOPE that L'ogan and I are meant to last. Why do you think yours wasn't?
