Okay I want to say something that is really important to me personally!!! If you make fanart, any kind of fanart that's about or related to a part of a show that has not come out yet (for example a new season)... Then that is still valid fanart once that part of the show is released. Even if the speculating fanart you made can not be canon anymore after the new season is released.
And just as importantly: if you have fanart planned concerning a part of a show that hasn't come out yet, but aren't able to finish that fanart before that part of the show is released, then you should still make that fanart after the new part of the show has come out!!!!
As an example I'll take Squid Game cause that is what I'm currently stressing myself about. I have a lot of fanart ideas that I want to draw or have already started that are speculation on what will happen in season 3. I won't be able to finish or even start most of them before season 3 comes out on friday. But that's okay!! It is totally okay for me to still make that fanart Even If my idea or speculation on season 3 will be proven to be wrong. And that goes for everyone in this fandom. If you have a really cool fanfic idea on how for example In-ho's identity reveal to Gi-hun will go and then the season comes out and it happens differently (which is very likely), then you should still write your fanfic about it!!!
The same goes for fanart that's based on lore that has been updated in the new season.
Also lastly: it's also very cool to make fanart of things that have happened in past seasons and topics that have already been resolved. Just because Gi-hun after season 3 will know that In-ho is the frontman doesn't mean you can't make fanart of him not knowing that anymore. Okay? Okay! Great <3
I love you, keep making great fanart and don't stress yourself because you feel like you need to get all your stuff out there before it can be "disproven". Fandom is about fun and creativity and there is never a point in time where your fanart is "wrong" or "too late" <3

Ok but how did Deoksu manage to find all the most annoying assholes in the dorm to gather in his little group so quickly. How did he do that

one of my weirdest interpretations of sg2 is unreliable narration i think. like i see the new characters more in a gihun-twisted lense where he sees the people he lost and that bleeds over and fucks with his perception.

I think the reason why I would never, ever agree with the "Gi-hun is deadbeat dad" comments is because, even though he has failed to provide for his daughter or give her a "good life", we all saw that he tried. He TRIED to be a good dad for her. He WANTED to be a good dad for her. A deadbeat dad is someone who WILLINGLY neglects their child, and from what we've seen in their relationship that doesn't sound like him at all.
"oh but he wasn't even there when she was born" Yeah, because he was at a worker's strike that caused him to go through one of his first traumatic experience, because he wanted to keep his job so he can provide for his family. It's not like he wanted to miss his daughter's birth. It's not like he was hanging out at the mall eating froyo during that time.
"hE diDn'T gEt oN tHe pLaNe tO sEe hEr" every Gihun stan has explained why this take is dumb. Seriously, it's such a dumb take.
Gayeong is the reason why he entered the games in the first place. He wanted to get money so he can have custody of her. That's not something a deadbeat dad does.
He refused to take money that he desperately needed because the cause is never talking to his daughter again and instead of chose to go back to the place where he knew he could die. That's not something a dead beat dad does.
It's not his fault that the cards he was dealt with was bad. He loves and cares for his daughter so much and I bet it was eating him inside when he couldn't provide for her in the same way that a father can provide for his child.
So it doesn't just piss me off when I see comments calling him a "deadbeat dad" it breaks my heart.
Specially when I *know* what a deadbeat dad looks like.
Those types of fathers don't give a fuck about their kids.
But Gihun is willing to do anything for his daughter.

I was thinking about this.
Imagine Sangihun in their youth, sharing everything, their toys, their food, their house, their bed.
I can't.
RATAAAA. I cant do this. IT WAS DEFINITELY SANGWOO HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. HIS REAL GGANBU
Gi-hun was for sure the type of kid to want to share everything with sangwoo. he would still do it, trust me. if sangwoo asked, he would give him the shirt off his back. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
thanks so so much for this.

to add onto dehumanization of the people in the game, the gamemasters ONLY use players’ real names as a weapon. they use their identities against them when displaying their debts and footage. they’re used to shame the players, remind them of what they’ve done. it’s almost as if they’re saying “you want to be a person? fine. let us remind you what kind of person you are.” outside of that notion, they are nameless.

In-Ho and Gi-Hun are not "parallel," they are juxtaposition.
Even though their common ground come from both being winners of the game, there is an abysmal difference on how these individuals interpreted their position. Gi-Hun became a winner against his will, and In-ho became a winner by any means possible.
Gi-Hun can not bring himself to spend the "blood money," In-Ho disregard the moral weight because he needs the money and "saving it won't bring them back to life."
Gi-Hun represents the struggle of working-class individuals. In-Ho is a cop.
Gi-Hun dedicates his life in avenging those lives lost and will risk his life to ensure no one else suffers that fate. In-Ho finds pleasure from psychologically destroying these individuals.
For Gi-Hun, the players are people. For In-ho, they are trash to be removed from existence.
