c h a p t e r o n e

“Lona! You have another appointment with the Barlows.” I heard my dad say from downstairs. I was busy working on my new assignments for the twins but I couldn’t get it done on time. “Coming, dad! Just a second.” I hurried and packed my stuff before he scolded me for being late.

Yes, the Barlows were known for their strictness and impatience. Due to their hierarchy being on top of everyone else’s.

So the day Jennely Barlow called my dad informing that they needed a therapist for their twin daughter and son, my head almost flew off my body. “Lona, I’m not going to tell you again,” I cut him off by rushing down the stairs. “How do I look?” I said as I gave a twirl.

“Beautiful, really beautiful. If only your mom would’ve seen this.” He started tearing up and gave me a tight hug. “Don’t cry, dad. You know mom gets upset when you do that. Trust me, she knows you’re doing a great job taking care of me.” He nodded and placed a kiss on my forehead.

“Yeah, yeah, you’re right. So don’t be late, okay.” I rushed to put on my doc martens along with my coat. “Bye dad. I love you. Also, make sure to eat too!” I ran out the door before I could hear him say something.

As I walked into the library, where I would meet up with the twins, I made sure to buy some coffee for the guy I’ve been craving to see. Mr. Konar. “Hi~ I brought your favorite coffee.” I handed it to him as he gave me a smile. Mr. Konar was the owner of the library for about 6 years.

I loved talking to him, just listening to the fun stories that he read about. The enthusiasm made me fall for him even more. “So, how was the book I gave you? Did you like it?” Taking a sip out of his coffee, I pulled out the book from my bag and flipped the pages. “Oh, yes! You know the one part where he found out that his first and only lover betrayed him? I nearly cried myself to sleep.”

He chuckled and read over the lines. “You’re right, but there’s something to it… you just need to keep reading. You won’t be disappointed.” He patted my head and went to his office to go grab something. “So… are you closing early today? I was wondering if you wanted to grab something to eat later.”

Please say yes. Please. “I’m sorry, Lona. But I’m afraid that I can’t. I have to do another interview tonight.” Not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed. But it wasn’t his fault that he’s so famous. “Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m sure we can hang out another day, right?” I asked, sitting in his comfy chair.

“Of course, we can. So, I want you to go find at least three oak colored fantasy books. Can you do that for me?” He said while holding my face. I nodded and quickly rushed to the fourth section. Oak. Fantasy. Oak. Fantasy. Oak. Fantasy. “I found it! Mr. Konar!”

I handed him the books as he chuckled. “You’ve gotten faster?” I could feel my teeth about to break from how hard I was smiling. “Really? I mean, of course.” I scoffed and crossed my arms. “Wait.”

My heart dropped as I heard him speak up. No. I couldn’t have gotten it wrong. “Oh… is it wrong, sir?” I looked down in disappointment. “No, no. It’s not that… I just haven’t seen this book in years. How’d you find this?”

“Hello? Mr. Konar is Lona here?” I heard the loud, ear piercing voice echo around the library. Mrs. Barlow was here with her twins, Jago and Khaleesi Barlow. “Hello Mrs. Barlow. And yes, Lona is right here.” He said as he closed the book, sliding it under his desk.

“Hey, Lona.” Jago said as he gave me a gift wrapped in brown paper. To my lovely friend, Lona. Hearts circling around my name. “Oh, thank you. What is it?” Letting my curiosity getting the best of me, he smiled and walked away.

“He’s such a suck up. Anyways, my gift is better.” Khaleesi handed me her gift that was wrapped in forest green paper. “Thank you, Khasi.” I gave her a hug and turned to Mr. Konar who was saying goodbye to Mrs. Barlow.

“Well, you’ve got to get to work, don’t you?” He gave me a smile as I nodded. “Yeah… I’ll see you later.”

As I was checking over their assignments, I noticed a small writing on the corner of Khaleesi’s paper. It was erased, but still noticeable. Why does he get to be so close to her? Why can’t she see I’m the one for her? I read in my mind.

“Is it that bad? Why are you looking over it so much?” Jago said, giving his paper to me. “Oh, no. It’s perfectly fine. She’s just missing something.”

He nodded and went to pack up his stuff.

As I got up, I heard Khaleesi finishing up in the bathroom. But she looked a little different. Pretty. “Hey, Khasi! I have to talk to you for a bit.” I took her hand and went to the entrance of the library.

We stayed in comfortable silence until she spoke up. “What’s you want to talk about?” Shit. I almost forgot. “Umm… it’s about your paper. Nothing’s wrong with it, but I noticed something on the corner of it.” As I said that, I noticed her freaking out. Not really but she looked nervous.

“It’s just… this girl I like. I’m scared to tell her how I feel because she might not- no, she won’t feel the same way. I get jealous easily and I know how you told me that we will work on it. But it’s so hard not too. Especially, when I liked her so much.”

Oh.

“Khaleesi, I didn’t know you felt this way. I’m sorry. But have you tried to talk to her? It’s better to tell her that you feel like this because if you don’t, you might regret it.”

“Fuck it.”

“Can’t you tell me about the book? I’ve been craving to know. Mr. Konar, please.. I won’t ask you again.” I begged to him as he walked around his office looking for something. “Please.” Dropping another book on the floor from the ladder. Fuck. He’s so hot when he’s mad. “Lona, if you help me find another book like this but forest green, I’ll teach you.”

I jumped in joy but then he shot me a glare, making me stop. Forest green. Romance. “What genre is it?” I asked him from the shelf behind him. “Romance.” I squeeled in excitement, surprised that I got it on the first try. Again. “Leon- I mean Mr. Konar! I found it!”

Did I have to call him that? No, I just felt like it.

“Lona, really?! Thank you so much, I knew you could do it. I should treat you later for being such a good girl.” He said as we climbed down the ladder. “Oh, yeah?” I said as I handed him the book. “Of course.”

He put the strands of hair in my face behind my ears, giving me a warm hug. He smells so good. “I need to teach you everything, so hurry up.” I nodded and picked a comfy area to sit. He came back with the other book and some cookies. “Oh! Can I have some?” I reached for the box, before he could try raising them out of my reach.

“No, you need to wait. I have another test for you.” I grumbled and laid back on the loveseat. He chuckled and put the box down on the table. “What’s this ‘test’ about?” “To see if you could really handle magic.” What? Magic doesn’t exist… right?

“Magic? Are you being serious right now? Are you like… a witch or something?” He looked down at the book but it looked like he was trying his hardest not to laugh. “Oh my god, Lona. I really can’t take you serious. There’s something about you…”

Huh?

“Haha, why?” Throwing the blunt question around, he shot his head up with an unreadable expression. Why is he making that face? “You’ll have to figure out on your own.

When Cali got back from being with her friends all day, she was tired, annoyed, and hungry. So, she decided to order some takeout and put on singles inferno. "Ugh! Why is my house so dirty? I didn't even do this." She kicked through the clothes and pillows on the floor and jumped on the couch. She grabbed the remote on the coffee table and laid back. Right when that happened the doorbell rang. "Oh, c'mon I just got comfy. Whatever, at least I won't be hungry."

She hurried over to the door and grabbed her food and rushed back to the couch. Pressing the play button and enjoying her food. Time past by quickly and the whole time Cali was getting mad because Minsu picked Jinyoung to go to paradise with her even though Jinyoung said he didn't like her. "BRO STOP BEING A DAMN COCKBLOCKER HE DOESN'T LIKE YOU! OMFG THIS SHOW PISSES ME OFF!" She yelled out and started hitting the pillow. She was losing her appetite due to her anger.

"Why are you so loud? Damn." Cali turned her head around due to the voice that she heard. She didn't see anything which creeped her out. She thought that it could've been her neighbors so she would calm down. "You can shut up, dumbass. Come say it to my face." She mumbled to herself and played the show again. Thirty minutes passed by and luckily Cali wasn't that mad. In fact, she was laughing because of how Jongwoo and Jinyoung were literally making out in the water dump. "If y'all don't stop making out and play the damn game."

"Fr though like what's up with them." Cali replied back and a little bit after that, she realized that she heard the voice again. But it was louder. "Okay who the fuck is there?! Come out. NOW!" She opened the lights and noticed a black tail coming out from her bed. "A cat?" "No shit. Get me out... I'm stuck." Her eyes widened as she walked towards the cat under her bed. She touched the tail and it immediately squealed.

"HEY! Don't touch there. I'm a bit sensitive." She giggled and pulled the cat out carefully. She tried to look at it, but it jumped onto the bed. "So, you can talk?" The cat nodded and laid down. Cali thought she was going crazy. "How'd you get in here anyways? I'm sure I locked my doors." The cat didn't bother to answer but instead it purred and stretched showing its white spot on its belly.

"Aww that's cute. You have a birthmark... tell me how you got in here." The cat traveled to Cali's lap and buried its head into her stomach. Cali's hand traveled along the cat's body and petted it. "You were talking so much earlier, what's wrong now?" She sighed and watched the cat as it meowed and showed its belly again. Cali guessed that if she wanted answers then she's going to have to take care of the cat.

"You really are something. And cute. But also, very annoying." The cat scowled at her and jumped off the bed. It walked over to her dresser. Somehow the cat managed to pull it open and pointed at something. She walked over to see what it was, and her eyes widened. She shut the drawer quickly and realized why was she so shocked about having a vibrator there.

Obviously, the cat wouldn't know what it was for... right? "I know what you use that for. Why are you so shocked? You just don't know the touch of a man and that's okay." Cali was unbearably embarrassed from a cat. "Shut up. You don't know anything, it's not like you've been watching me this whole time." "Yes. I have." "Fuck did you say?!"

"You heard me." Cali was about to rip her hair out as she stomped around the room. Not caring about the people below her at all. "You know what, you need to leave. I can't take care of you anyways." "I'm a talking cat... and something more. I should be fine. Just let me stay with you. It's cold outside." Its eyes became bigger and sweeter. She groaned and finally gave in.

"Okay! Stop with that please. What's your name anyways?" "Niko." She nodded as she walked away from the cat. Sitting back on the couch to play the show again and relax. Not thinking about how she just had a full-on conversation with a random cat that was stuck under her bed. "I'm a little hungry... can I get some?" Cali looked over at the cat pointing at her food with its paw. She scoffed and nodded her head.

am i going insane

This past year has been a living hell for Calista. She felt like everything that she did, turn wrong. Even though she made sure that she did something right it went the opposite direction. This all happened all because of that guy. He did all of this to her but she still loved him. She tried so hard to leave him, but it wouldn’t work.

★.

“Niko, can you help me take this inside?!!” I yelled from outside trying to carry the tv. “Ok, hold on a minute.” I put the tv down and looked around the complex. It was nice and pretty. I saw some kids playing at the park and there wasn’t trash everywhere. Niko came out and helped me take everything inside.

We got done a while later and sat down on the floor. “Bro. I’m so tired!” I straightened my back and stood up. He just laughed at me as I put folded my arms. “Why’re you laughing?” “Because it’s funny how you made me do all the work and you’re complaining that you’re tired.”

“What I did more than you?!” “Yeah okay, come on let’s go.” I went to my car and Niko decided to drive. He grabbed the keys from me quickly. “Why can’t I drive it’s my car?” “Because you almost killed us earlier Cali. Plus, did you even get your license?” “I got my permit but whatever let’s go!”

I got into the passenger seat and then we finally drove off. “Where are we going anyways?” “I don't know either?” We busted out laughing. “Let’s just go to the dorms then.” I nodded and looked out the window. The sky was getting cloudy, and I could tell it was going to rain. But I loved it anyways, especially when I’m in car rides.

We finally got to the dorms, and it was pouring. Niko and I ran through the rain yelling for some reason. Then I started banging on the door so they could let us in, and it was taking forever. They finally opened the door, and you barged in.

I didn’t even get the chance to see who opened it, but they were probably mad. “Hey guys!” I shouted and some of them were in the living room playing games. “Hey Cali! But who’s that?” Hoshi pointed behind me. “Augh!” I yelled from looking at the sight in front of me. “What the fuck are you yelling for?” It was Niko and you laughed so hard. His hair was all over his face, and it was drenched. Then I noticed your braids were soaked. Ugh could my day get any worse.

“Come here Cali!” Chan pulled me in for a hug. “What’s up Chan why’re you so happy?” I giggled a bit. “I just wanted to see my favorite person in the whole world.” “Aww, thanks but you’re not my favorite person though.” The whole house started laughing, but to make Chan feel better I started playing with his hair.

"Whatever. I don’t like you anyways.” “Come on chan don’t get all butthurt.” Silas said while pushing him. “Cali come here let’s go cook.” Joshua pulled me towards the kitchen. “Do I have to? I’m so tired. Oh yeah how come y’all didn’t help me put my stuff in the apartment?” They all kept silent as I sighed.

“1…2..." I started to count but then someone blurted out. “IT'S BECAUSE WE HAD PRACTICE!” I turned around and it was Seokmin who said that. I walked towards him, and he gulped. I was 2 inches away from his face as I kept staring into his eyes. “And can you tell me why Niko wasn’t there?”

“Huh…um. I-it’s because he had to rest.” He smiled to assure me that he wasn’t lying. But I didn’t but into it. They were scared of me. “Lee Seokmin, why are you lying to me?” “I’m sorry Cali. I didn’t mean to, and I won’t do it again.” Then I started to laugh, and they all looked at me confusingly.

“I’m just kidding dokyeom why are you so scared! Haha!” “Haha…” They all laughed and went silent again. “Okay Juelz let’s get cooking then!” I ran to the kitchen to open the pantry full of food. There were so many options to pick of food.

A little while after when I was cutting onions, I heard the biggest thunder sound ever. “AHHHHHHH!!!!” I ran towards Jago since he was my favorite. Then I pulled the blanket over me as I hugged him. “It’s fine, Cali. Don’t get scared.”

Jago said as he rubbed my waist. I looked up and made it seem like I wasn't scared. “Of course, I’m not scared Haha jokes, right?” I got up and went back to the kitchen. “Yeah, okay whatever you say.” I heard Wonwoo and Milo giggling behind you, and you couldn’t help but sigh. “Come here Cali they’re just joking.” Silas said and made a pouty face. I gave him a hug and then went back to cutting the onions.

The food was finally done, and everyone began to eat. I sat by Jago and Seokmin for the movie. But little did I know, that was the worst choice I've ever made. “HAHAHS DID YALL SEE HIS FACE!!” “WHAT THE HELL WHY IS BE STILL THERE??!!!” “NOOOO WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE?!”

The whole time I couldn’t enjoy the movie because they always yelled in my ears. But I did enjoy the food. halfway through the movie you wanted to sit by Jihoon who was on the floor. When I tried to get up, Jago pulled me down by my waist and whispered in my ear. “Where are you going?” He had an upset look on his face and sighed. “I want to sit by Jihoon since you guys won’t stop shouting.” I said as I smiled a bit. “No sit by me. I’ll be quiet please.”

At this point I knew that I couldn’t change his mind, so I just nodded and sat back down. but this time you were even closer to him. So, I felt a lot more comfortable.

The movie was done, and half of the members were asleep. Milo, Jago, Soonyoung, Silas, Jun, and seokmin were planning on pranking the members. “Should we dump a bunch of water on them?” Jago suggested and all of them looked at him crazy.

“Or maybe we could draw on their face and take videos of them?” Silas said while laughing. “Why not do all of them?” Jun said quietly and all of them looked at him smirking.

“Let me get the camera ready.” Calix was in charge of recording so he better do a good job. they decided to do all pranks and jun was the mvp once again. Silas, Seokmin, Jago, and Milo were pouring water. and soonyoung was making sure that none of them were awake yet.

“Okay, guys… GO!” They poured the water, and everyone started getting up and yelling. and of course, the others were laughing. but throughout all of the ruckus Jihoon was sleeping through the whole thing. “oh my gosh guys what the fuck is wrong with y’all?!” you said while trying to get the water out of your hair again.“you guys should’ve stayed awake, and this wouldn’t happen.” Silas said and you were about to kick him, but you were too tired to. "Whatever i’m going upstairs.” wonwoo said and the rest went too. “i’m so tired i can’t drive too.” you sighed.

“Why can’t you just stay here?” seungcheol asked. “Cause there’s no room plus id rather sleep outside than in yalls room.” you folded your arms. “ok then goodnight.” he went upstairs and you scoffed. you went to the laundry closet to check for clean and dry blankets. and you found one that looked comfortable. you went back to the couch and went to sleep.

The whole night you felt like somebody was watching me. I kept shifting around the couch and I couldn’t stop feeling too hot or too cold. So, I finally got up to see someone above you. it was too dark to see anything so you just backed away. “Chill Cali. It’s me, Jago.” He said with a calming voice. I left out a big sigh and sat up.

He turned on the lamp because the ceiling lights were too bright. “Are you okay you were sweating?” “Um yeah I’m fine just I am a little uncomfortable I guess.” “You could sleep on my bed if you want. It’s already made because I didn’t sleep yet.” What he said made you a little upset. you frowned and looked at him with sweet eyes. “Why aren’t you sleeping?”

“I just had a little work to catch up on but don’t worry about me. Do you want me to get you a glass of water?” I nodded and he got up to go to the kitchen. I laid my head back on the couch and started to think.

Why am I so hot but freezing at the same time? “Come here let’s go to my room.” He grabbed my hand and took me to his room. I was happy that he actually spoke up cause Cheol just left. He opened the door and told me to sit on his bed. Then he gave me the water and I thanked him.

But after a while of talking, I felt a little sleepy. “Jago, can you come here?” I yawned and began to feel drowsy.

So, at this point I didn’t even know what I was talking about. “Why? Don’t you want the bed to yourself?” “No, I want you to be here… please just for a little bit.” “Okay anything for you princess.”

He got into the bed quietly that I couldn’t even here him walk over to you. He wrapped his hands around my waist, and I played with his fingers. you felt so much comfort being with him so that made you feel so much better than earlier. after a while, he snuggled his head into your neck and started smelling it. you didn’t think any of it until he started to kiss it a little bit. “Jago, what are you doing?” I whispered but he wasn’t there. I looked around the room and nobody was in there except for me. I was so confused because it felt way too real. But a while later of thinking I just guessed that it was a dream, falling back asleep.

I woke up and went straight to the car to grab my hygiene products. I got back and got washed up and took a shower. Luckily, Jago's bathroom was clean and wasn’t messed up like everyone else’s. Then I sat back on the bed and went on my phone for a little while and looked for clothes online.

Then, I went downstairs later on. Sadly, everyone was still sleeping except Jihoon and Wonwoo. “Hey, guys what’re you eating?” They looked at me and didn’t say anything. The vibe was awkward cause usually they would be talking and laughing. “Umm hello?” I said again, and you noticed that Wonwoo had an upset look on his face. “I thought you left yesterday?” Jihoon finally said and not looking at me.

“No, it was late, and I was already tired, but why are you guys so quiet?” I questioned them while getting an apple. “Okay fine… why are you always with Jago and not us?” I was so confused because that was kind of not true, because I always talked to everyone.

“What do you mean? I was talking to you guys yesterday too.” “plus, you even slept with him last night, Cali do you have feelings for him?” Wonwoo spoke out and looked away. Wait what?! “Of course, not what the hell!” Then they both started to laugh so loud and so did everyone. Popping out one by one down the stairs. At this point I was so confused that I didn’t have time for it. “What?”

“C'mon that’s not the reaction we wanted at least try!” Niko said while grabbing the hidden camera. “So, this is all another prank?” “Yup. And you should’ve seen your face too!” Chan said while taking a seat on the stool. “I’ve got to leave so bye!”

I took another bite out of your apple and grabbing my keys and left. Then I forgot to do something, so I had to come back inside. “HEY, YOU’RE COMING WITH ME!” I pointed at Niko. “Who, me?” he asked you and you rolled your eyes. “Yes, you. Now hurry up!” after 10 minutes he finally came out of the house. I honked the horn at him so he could know that I was irritated. He opened the car door and asked,

“Why’d you do that?” “What part of hurry up don’t you understand?!” He just stayed quiet, and I felt a little guilty. I sighed and decided to apologize for yelling.

“Okay I’m sorry Niko I won't do it again. I’m just a little stressed out.” “It’s fine but I already know it’ll happen again. Anyways, is everything all right?” Honestly, I felt a little uncomfortable telling him but he’s my best friend, so I had to.

I turned around to and finally told him, “I had a dream last night and I don't know if it was actually a dream because it felt a little weird.” “Did you pee your pants?” He laughed, as I hit his arm. “Shut up Niko, it’s just... last night I felt like someone was watching me and I kept feeling hot and cold at the same time.”

He looked at me worriedly because he thought that I had a fever because they threw cold water on everyone last night. “Do you have a fever? if you do, I’m going to punch everyone who did that prank I swear I will.”

“Noo, Haha it's not that. But when I woke up, I saw Jago staring at me. But I didn’t know it was him until he told me.” “That’s weird, did he say anything?” “No. But he took me to his room and wait promise me you won’t tell anybody this.”

I held out my pinky finger as he chuckled a bit and held my finger. “I promise.” “Thank you. So yeah, he let me sleep on his bed and then I made a dumb choice and asked him to sleep with me.” “You what?! Cali, do you actually like him?” He yelled out, making me scared that the others would hear. “Niko, shut up. Plus, it wasn’t in that way. I just didn’t want to sleep by myself. Then, he... umm he started kissing my neck."

“Okay. That’s it, I don’t want to hear this. Tell me something else, please!” He covered his ears, and I took his hands off his ears and held them. “Niko but the thing is right when I felt him doing that nobody was there. That's why I don’t know if it’s a dream or not. Plus, it felt so real.”

He was so shocked to even say anything matter of fact how to process that. He was about to step out of the car and leave but I stopped him. “Niko please don’t leave I’m just as confused as you are.” He looked at me and sighed. “Are you sure that he was there?” “Yes! he took me upstairs and that’s what happened.” We stayed silent for a little while and started the car. “Where are we going?” He asked me while he was on his phone. “Anywhere but here.”

We ended up in the grocery store getting food for my apartment. “Hey get this too.” Niko put a whole bunch of snacks in the cart and laughed. I wanted to get them too, but I didn’t want to spend all your money on snacks. So, I put some back. “We still need to get milk and eggs then we’ll be done.”

I said while going to the dairy section. Niko was wandering around the whole time like a cat and of course I had to do all the shopping. But he’s the one that’s always there.

We were bringing in the food to the apartment and it was the worst. All of the bags kept ripping and they kept falling down the stairs. “I SWEAR IF ANOTHER ITEM FALLS, IM KILLING EVERYONE IN THIS APARTMENT!”

I yelled out loud as Niko jumped back. “Cali, calm down or you’re gonna get kicked out on your first day.” He tried to calm me down, but I hated when people did that. Especially when I had the worst temper in the world. “Ok. I’m trying but we need to hurry up before I burst.” “You didn’t already?!” Niko was shocked at this point because he definitely didn’t want to see even more mad than that. “Finally, we’re done!”

I yelled happily. and this time Niko didn’t care because he was relieved too. Never thought bringing in groceries would be this hard.

A couple hours passed by, and it was time to go to work. I worked at this one famous cafe where everyone goes all the time. A while later when I was giving the customer her drink, I saw a guy with a mask on.

he kind of looked familiar so I just waited till he got to me. “Hello, can I get an iced americano please?” Wait, that voice sounds familiar! IS that Jago? “Jago?” I asked him, and he took off his mask then smiled at me.

“Why the sad face?” He laughed a little. “I didn’t know you would be here that’s all but anyways give me 50 dollars.” I put my hand out and he was baffled and finally said, “My drink isn’t that expensive, Calista.”

“Who said it was for the drink? anyways I will pay it back.” “Only if you go on a date with me.” At this point I was irritated and couldn’t say anything. I motioned my coworker to take my spot and sat down at a table with Jago.

“So... why a date?” I said quietly as I played with my fingers. "Just because you’re so cute and." “Don’t ever call me cute.” you said giving him a death stare. “Okay. Then you're cool, I guess. Plus, you seem tired.”

“Cut the bullshit, Jago. Where were you last night?” “I went to the living room. Cause you ended up sleep walking to my room. Also, you scared me just coming into my bed.” Huh? What is he talking about?

“No. That’s wrong you took me to your room, and you were looking at me when I was asleep. And you were kissing my neck and sniffing it!” I quickly put my hand over my mouth as I noticed everyone was looking at me. I was so embarrassed; I couldn’t even look at Jago. Just why did I have to yell that what the fuck is wrong with me!

The whole day was tiring for me so I turned on the tv to put on TAWOG. I made myself some food and scrolled on twitter for a long time. But then I got a call from my mom who lives in a whole different state from me.

"Hello?"

Hi Calista, are you doing good right now?

"Yeah, Niko helped me move in yesterday thankfully, but it was so much work cause the boys didn’t want to help."

Haha, oh well you need to start doing things yourself too because you don’t want to lose muscle.

"Stop mom that’s so cringy. Anyways, how are you and dad doing?"

Oh, it’s the usual he’s always sitting down and watching tv. I always try to get him up so we can go on walks but it’s like talking to a brick wall.

"Okay then send me there I’ll show him who’s boss. His ass would be up in a second."

Yeah, you’re right that’s how you always were. You know I love you right, Cali.

"Of course, I know I love you too. Take care mom and please get dad to get up so he doesn't get a bigger belly that he has now. Haha."

Then I hung up the call. I did miss your parents, but this was good for me. Suddenly you heard the doorbell ring. Nobody knew the address yet but Niko, so you thought it was him. I looked through the keyhole and noticed it was Jago. You opened it without thought and looked at him. “Aren’t you going to say hi?” I noticed that you were being rude by not saying anything, so you replied.

“Oh yeah, I’m sorry... hey Jago. Who gave you my address?” “Niko did because I wanted to see you. Plus, I wanted to see how our house would look like.” He laughed a little and you rolled your eyes. “Never in a million years.” “C'mon you know you love me!” He hugged my waist and snuggled into my neck. I pulled him away and laughed.

“Okay but I don’t have room for you also you have the nicest room at the dorm. Why didn’t you stay there.” We walked towards the couch and plopped down. “Sometimes it’s too loud there and I want to talk to you.” I smiled at what he said. I always wondered why I get soft with him.

“You’re so cheesy! stop that.” I looked away and smiled so hard that my teeth would break. “Plus, wouldn’t you be kind of lonely if you were here by yourself?” I thought about it for a little and a sudden thought came up into my head. I immediately slapped yourself for thinking about weird things. Why the hell am I like this? “Um… hello Cali are you okay?” I snapped out of my thoughts due to Jago waving his hand in my face.

“I’m sorry what were we talking about?” He smiled and laughed a little. “It’s nothing anyways did you eat yet?” He looked at me sweetly as I remembered that I haven’t eaten yet. I looked down at my stomach and it started to grumble. I looked away in embarrassment and he patted my head.

He chuckled and got up from the couch, walking towards the kitchen. "What would you like to eat, Cali? I’m not that good at cooking but I could make some good food.” He asked on his way to the kitchen as I sat down on the stool.

the whole time as I watched him cook, I couldn’t help myself but smile at him. He made me feel so comfortable with him and made me laugh. It was the best time ever. A few times I almost stopped breathing because I couldn’t stop laughing.

The food smelt so good, and I didn’t know what he was cooking because it was so focused on him. The food was almost served so you decided to set up the table for him. As I was walking to the table, I felt his hand wrap around my arm and pull me back onto him.

I looked up and saw him smirking. I was confused but I would be lying if I said I didn’t like it. then he put his hand behind my neck to pull my face closer to his. As he did this, I could feel his warm breathing on my face. our lips were so close until he said something. “I’ll help you.”

and with that he put his soft lips onto mine and I was shocked at first until I gave the same energy into kissing him back. It wasn’t rough and hungry, but it was soft and passionate. After a while, we both pulled away and I looked away blushing. But he was looking at me the whole time with a confused look.

“Cali um... are you okay? You keep dozing off.” He said while moving the hair from my face. I looked at him tilting my head. “What do you mean? I mean we just you know…” I chuckled a little bit, but he still kept a straight face.

“We what?” He looked with a weirded-out face. I don’t know if he’s schizophrenic or something cause how did he not remember what we did. “Jago, stop playing around. You know that we just kissed why are you acting like that?”

I scoffed and looked away. I didn’t really like my actions, so I looked back at him. He looked at you surprised and started laughing. now I was getting irritated because how can someone act so cocky. He stopped laughing when he saw my face and softened his eyes a bit. “Wait you were serious? Calista, we didn’t kiss, you just dozed off right now. Are you sure you're fine?” When I heard him say that I felt my heart shatter. I went outside and left him in the house. I was so irritated because it happened again.

why does this keep happening, I can’t be dreaming. it was real I know it was, so why does he keep denying. I went to a nearby park and sat on the swings. I was so upset but I didn't know why. I can't feel like this so why do I keep getting mad.

I had so many questions that I had to talk to someone about. So, the first person I thought of was Niko. I dialed his number, and he picked up immediately. Just like always which made me happy.

I didn’t notice that I had tears coming down my eyes and my breath wasn’t balanced. “Hello. Cali are you okay?” I heard him say with worry in his tone. I also heard a door shut so I’m guessing he went outside. "Yeah… Niko what should I do? I can’t keep up with this anymore.”

The more I spoke, the more my voice couldn’t speak out. “Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.” He said as he got into the car. I waited a bit to say something and caught my breath. “I’m at home… but don’t go inside the house. Also, you know the park right by it?”

“Yeah, I’ll be there… be safe okay.” “Okay Niko.” I giggled a bit and waited for an annoyed response. “I’ll let this time slide but don’t call me that again.” I could hear him laughing a little, so I felt better with that. I stopped laughing when I felt a strong aura behind me. I was too stunned to look back because my body felt too stiff. I didn’t hear someone walk here so why do I feel like this? “Cali.”

I immediately jumped off the swing and turned around. I felt my mouth drop to the floor, why was his voice so deep? “Jago… what are you doing here?” I whispered out and backed up. He went to sit down by me and wiped the tears running down my cheek. He looked at me for a while but didn’t say anything.

The tears stopped running and that’s when he finally said something. “Why’d you storm off like that? I was worried that you would get hurt.” His sweet honey voice said, and it made me turn to look at him.

"Hey Calista, go throw out the trash, the rats are going to come and destroy the place!" Of course, the manager is making me do this. There are so many other people yet it's always me. I walked out of the store and threw the trash out. If I could quit this job I would, but I need money. When I got to the bins, I felt someone staring at me. Then suddenly, I heard a can rattling behind me.

"Who's there?" Then the sound came again even closer. "Ok. Stop fucking around who's there!" Then everything went black. I finally woke up with a stinging feeling on your neck. I looked around the room and it looked nothing like yours. "You're finally awake, damn you humans are something else." A guy said, popping out of nowhere.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU AND WHY AM I HERE?!" I yelled as loud as I've never heard myself before. "Chill out. Shit. You're hurting my ears!" He covered his ears and then I took the chance to get out of there. I managed to get out of the room but what I saw almost made me faint.

The house was so beautiful, and it was huge. But I didn't have time to scan the room I was in. When I got to the living room, he suddenly popped up there. "HOW THE FUCK? YOU WERE IN THE ROOM!" "Didn't I just tell you to stop yelling? Plus, you didn't get to tell me your name." Is this man insane?

"And why would I tell you, my name?" I really wanted to get out of there, but this man is pulling me back. "First, let's sit... please?" I saw his eyes turn a dark purple, and I couldn't leave. It was like he was forcing me to sit. "Thank you. So, what's your name?" He looked at me with a cute smile.

"I shouldn't tell you that plus I don't know you." you folded your arms and sat back. "Ok then should I just find out myself." He walked towards me and went to my neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I tried to pull back but of course, it happened again. And he... sniffed it? "Why do you smell so good?" he groaned in my ear, but I pushed him back.

"Stop being weird, what the hell is wrong with you?" "What do you mean? it's a compliment Cali." He backed away and sat down. "What do you want, and did you do something to my neck? wait, how do you know my name??!!!" I put my hand over the sore part. "Oh, about that, umm... I kind of bit you yesterday. Yes, I do want something from you. And last I found out your name from reading your mind." He breathed out after saying all that.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Ok, so you bit me. and you read my mind. Is that what I heard?" "Uh huh." "Nice to meet you but I'm going now." I ran as fast as I could to the door and as soon as you could close the door. I felt him pull me back. I tried to pull free, but I couldn't. That same feeling came again, I couldn't move my body to where I wanted.

"You won't leave me, right?" he whispered as his eyes turned purple again. "No. I won't leave you Jago." I said, but I didn't say it. It felt like something was forcing me to say different words. "How do you know my name?" He pushed me away and stepped back. Wait, how do I know his name? I've never seen him in my life before!

“I'm so tired. When will this day end already?” The whole day I had to try out gowns for my eighteenth birthday. Even if it was three weeks from now my parents still wanted to be prepared on time. My parents and Panja left the palace two days ago and they still managed to boss me around. Apparently, they had to go do some business, so I didn't really care. But what I did care about was getting out of this hell of a place and sleeping already. “Stop acting stubborn, you know that we have to pick out a dress in two weeks' time. Please just make this easier for the both of us.” That was my helper, Jennely. She wasn’t much older than me in fact she’s the age of my oldest sister, Panja. I thought that they would get along perfectly since age and all, but I was completely wrong.

“Okay, okay I'm sorry it’s just so tight.” I groaned out in annoyance. Anyways, my parents want me to dress up the way nobody has before. Honestly, I won't be surprised if they make me wear birds on my gown. “Okay now look in the mirror.” I turned around because it was a part of protocol to not see the gown before having it on correctly. When I saw how it looked, I felt my jaw drop to the floor. “OH, MY GOSH JEN LOOK AT THIS!” I was so shocked because this is the prettiest gown I've ever seen in my life. And no, I'm not screaming just so I could leave that place. “Shut up and stop screaming.” The gown was emerald, green with gold accents on the rims. I’m pretty sure my mom did that on purpose due to the fact our family name is Green Ilunga.

The day was finally over, and we got back to the palace. Just like always it was quiet and dull. It was normal for this to happen since our parents sucked the fun out of us. But that didn’t stop me from talking to my sisters. We always had fun when our parents weren’t home. And the time has come again, where everything gets flipped. I opened the door and was welcomed by Scontsu drawing again. I looked around her room and I noticed that she had switched it around. “Hey Tsutsu, did you find a gown yet?” I jumped on her bed and put my feet in the air. I liked being in her room, it was nice and cozy. “Yeah, and it was so beautiful, you should’ve seen it. Anyways, what was your gown like?” She walked towards her humongous closet and was in there for a while. I was getting kind of bored just sitting on the bed, so I got up.

“Why are you taking so long? Hurr-.” I got cut off when she finally got out of her closet with a huge pink gown in her hand. It could tell that she was about to fall with it in her hands, so I helped her. “Wow! Tsutsu I never knew you had it in you to pick out such a beautiful gown.” I said sarcastically and she slapped my arm. When did she get so tough, I always thought. I actually did like the gown though; I think it suited her well. But the more time I stayed up the more my eyes drooped. I told her goodnight and made my way to my bedroom. When I opened my door a whole bunch of cold air blew in my face. “Perfect.” I loved sleeping in cold rooms because it felt amazing. So, my parents made my room customized with ac. Anyways I washed up and went to sleep.

“CLASH!” The loud noise woke me up from my sleep and I for sure couldn’t fall back asleep. I got up from my bed and put on my slippers. I looked out my door and saw the maids and butlers scolding a teenage boy. I couldn’t really see across because the hallway was long. “Why are you dropping pots? Pick it up! This is a royal palace. We don't have time for your foolishness!” I saw the butler yell at the boy, and I noticed he didn’t look familiar. So, I guessed he was new, and he didn’t know what he was doing. I kept watching from my room and giggled a little bit. Then everything unexpected happened. The boy looked at me and smiled. I shut my door quickly and walked worriedly around my room. Why did he smile at me and why is he so attractive? His smile was so pretty and unique like I've never seen before.

“Why did he look at me like that? Wait, maybe I'm just tired and this is a dream, right?” I couldn’t stop thinking so I only did what would ease my mind. “UGH! Why can’t I hit the tennis ball!” You’ve got that right. Tennis sometimes calmed me down but not this time. I called Chamao over to play with me but she’s just making me even more stressed. “Come on Cali don’t worry; I believe in you. Fighting!” She then laughed in my face, and I couldn't resist her laugh, so I laughed too. You picked up the ball again and served it. “Tell me what’s on your mind, maybe I could help.” This is always how it went, we would talk and play at the same time, so it made it more interesting. So, let’s go on shall we.

“So, this morning I heard a loud clash outside my door.” “Was it Casper?” “Shut up! Anyways, when I got up to go see who did it, I saw one of the butlers yelling at this boy.” “Is the boy our age? I want a boyfriend.” “I’m pretty sure he is, and I started laughing because he was the one who dropped a pot.” “Why are you laughing at the poor boy? You should get kicked out for vile behavior.” “Because it was funny, and I couldn't hold back my laugh and you know that too. Also, when he looked up, he saw me, and he smiled.”

That’s when I lost focus in the game and the ball hit my leg. It was the worst feeling ever. Then I saw Charmao running towards me. “Are you okay? I'm sorry Cali.” “Yeah, I'm fine, but I have to tell you the rest.” We grabbed our water and sat down at the little white porch place, if you know what I mean. We caught our breath and continued the conversation. “So, as I said, he smiled at me, and I shut the door so fast.” “Now why the hell would you do that?” “I don’t know. I just reacted so fast and shut it. Char, please help me!!” “Okay just follow exactly what I say.”

I went straight to the kitchen after playing tennis with Charmao. Expecting the boy to be there, I looked around the cooking area. I knew every single crevice of this place in the back of my head so I thought it would be easy. I was greeted by the cooks every single second. “Miss Calista what are you doing here at this time?” I jumped up when I heard a familiar voice calling my name. Why did she have to find me behind the trash can? I got up and wiped my hands on my skirt. “Oh, umm sorry to bother you Miss Mona, I just wanted to look around. Cause you know I wanted a sneak peek at what we’re eating today.” I laughed nervously and I don't think she bought into it. I looked around and noticed the boy around the corner. Then suddenly Mona blocked my way of sight.

“What are you looking at? Anyways, you had your peak, now leave the kitchen.” She laughed as she pushed me out of the kitchen. She closed the door and I immediately thought of the second part of the plan. I went straight to the dressing closet and picked out a cook’s outfit. It wasn’t really your style, but you did fit in. “Perfect again, nobody’s going to notice this time.”

As I was walking to the kitchen, I was stopped by one of the butlers. What could it be this time? What if he notices me? “What are you doing in the hallway? Go to the kitchen right this second!” I nodded nervously and ran to the kitchen. As I was walking, I remembered that exact voice, it was the butler who was yelling at that boy. I always wondered why he had to be so rude. But I couldn't focus on that right now. I was finally in the kitchen, and I let out a huge sigh. I wish I wasn’t in this situation right now, but can’t I at least get a hello. I picked up one of the pots to make myself look busy. But right when I was trying to walk with it, something terrible happened.

“AUGH!” I slipped on water right by the sink and it did not feel good at all. I felt like my butt was going to explode from how hard I hit the ground. Then someone came to me running quickly. It was the boy and I thought it was my chance. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” I couldn’t even say anything because he was much prettier than I thought. His hair was wavy brown, and his eyes were like bronze shining on me. I couldn’t look away but suddenly I snapped myself out of it. “Oh, yes! I’m fine, Haha, just a little fall, right?” He smiled at me and pulled me up. Now my heart was racing, I got to see him smile right in front of my face. “Nice to know anyways I just started here and sadly I started off on the wrong foot.”

His voice was so nice I could listen to it day and night. Not in a weird way though. “Oh, I was wondering why I haven’t seen you around. What’s your name by the way?” “I’m Konar, and you?” “I’m Cali.” I held my hand out and he looked like he saw a ghost. He shook and didn’t let go. I smiled at him confusedly until I realized that I'm a part of a royal family. “Um…Vernon if you’re thinking I'm royalty I'm actually not. We just have the same name.” I quickly came up with an excuse, so I didn't blow my cover. He let out a big sigh and chuckled. “You really scared me there anyways; I have to get back to work. See you later?” “Yeah, bye Vern.” “Vern?” He smiled at me, and I turned around and giggled. I left the kitchen and an idea popped up in my head.

We had an hour until lunch, so I took this time to go visit Charmao. I had to beg Jennely not to go with me so we could have privacy. And surprisingly, she was okay with it. She didn’t live too far from the place; in fact, she was our neighbor. But not close type neighbors. After 10 minutes I got to her door and one of the butlers opened it. “Hello Miss Calista, are you here to see Charmao?” “Oh yes, is she here?” “Yes, actually she’s horseback riding in the back.” I went to the backyard and of course it was huge. They had such a beautiful backyard that I loved spending time there. “Char! I’m here!” I jumped up and down to get her attention and she noticed. I walked towards the stables where she put the horse back.

I got a whiff of her, and it was not pleasant. Sorry Charmao. We went to go to the gazebo, and she drank some water. The way she was breathing, I could probably hear that from miles away. “So… what did… you… want to say?” She kept breathing between every word she said. I couldn’t really understand her much, but I cut her some slack. "Save your breath. Anyways, I met the boy, and his name is Konar. Thanks to you since your plan worked kind of.” “Hmm so his name is Konar. Wait, did you ask how old he was?!” “No, but he did think that I was Calista Ilunga.” “What I told you to disguise yourself!” “That’s the thing I did but I accidentally told him my name.” “CALISTA ILUNGA, YOU DIDN'T!” “I’m sorry, don't yell. Before he could catch on, I made an excuse saying that we have the same name.”

She rubbed her head and sighed. I’m guessing she wasn’t happy about this. I kept quiet until she said something. She looked back at me and turned my head. “Don’t worry it shouldn’t be a big deal if he knows who you actually are.” Now I am madder than I've ever been before. How could she say that after she made it seem like it was the worst thing in the world for him to know who I was. “LEE CHARMAO GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!” She started running like her hair was on fire. Once I got my hands on her she wouldn’t see the sun ever again. “How could you say that when you stressed me out this entire time?!” “I thought it would be like those movies but now that I think of it you should tell him for real this time.”

I started to walk back home with my head down low. I couldn’t even think straight, and I felt like my head was going to float. The only thing I wanted to do was lay down on my bed and stay there. I don’t know if my parents are coming back today or tomorrow but I don't feel like seeing them. But Panja was coming back so that means we’ll see Wonwoo and Junhui a lot more. Even though Jun and Scontsu are married, I think their relationship has grown a lot more. I’m actually happy that Panja and Scontsu are happy, but I’m still scared that I might be getting married in three weeks. But I really don’t want to worry about that now.

“Huh, you guys are back early.” I said while putting away my shoes. My parents and Panja came back without a warning. I thought they would be back in a week, but they were only gone for three days. I’m guessing that it wasn’t that serious but I’m glad Panja is back at least. Now I could tell her everything that happened. But lunch was already getting served so I went to the washroom to freshen up. Usually, I went to the one across the palace because it was nice and fresh. I know all of the bathrooms are like that but for some reason, I like this one the most. When I was rushing to the washroom I accidentally slipped on the floor. “Ow, why is there water here?” I whispered out trying not to cause attention to me. As I tried to get up, I felt my ankle getting hit with sharp pain.

“Are you okay, why are you on the floor?” I heard a voice and got scared. The voice was familiar, and I looked up to see Hanson holding his hand out toward me. I took his hand and got up, almost falling onto him but he caught me. I realized how close we were, and my cheeks started to heat up. I quickly got off of him and wiped my hands on my skirt. “Wait, aren't you Calista Ilunga?” He said with a surprised look on his face. I shook my head yes and smiled. I was too focused on him to even realize my ankle was hurting. “Okay then I should get going now but are you sure you’re ok-.” As he was talking, I could feel a strong aura from beside us. I already knew who it was, so I already wanted to jump off a cliff.

“Who are you to be talking to my daughter? And why is there water on the floor?” My father's strong voice echoed throughout the hallway. “Baba, he was helping me get up because I slipped on the water I spilled earlier. Please it’s not his fault so don’t get mad.” I tried to reassure him into thinking the situation was fine. But I don’t know if it worked. “I’m so sorry King, it won't happen again,” Vernon said out and bowed. I looked at my father who just sighed and rubbed his head. "Okay I’ll be nice this once, but if I see you trying to make moves on my daughter, I swear I’ll ban you from this palace.” And with that, he left back to the dining room. I felt so embarrassed because it wasn't his fault.

The air was filled with awkward silence until Vernon decided to say something. “I better get going now, catch you later?” He chuckled a little after saying the second part. I also laughed as I made my way to the bathroom. “Yeah, see you later Konar.” I said while opening the bathroom door.

Konar's Pov

“How did she know my name? I never told her… maybe she knows everybody's name. It's nothing special.” I went to go get some towels to clean up the spill, but when I was about to open the closet. I heard these two ladies talking to each other. I'm never one to eavesdrop, but I heard Cali's name, so I got curious. I went to peek at the door so they couldn't see me. “You wouldn't believe what Calista did today!” “What did she do this time? She never stays out of trouble these days.” They both laughed after one of the ladies said. “So, I found her behind the trash can with one of the maid outfits, and guess what?” The lady looked overly excited, but she kept stalling, so it was irritating me. So not thinking I spoke out, “Oh my gosh just hurry up and say it.” They all looked towards the door, and I immediately ran as far as I could to get away from that place.

My Pov

It was a little after dinner when I heard something thrown at my window. I flinched but I don’t think any of it, must’ve been a bird or something. Then I heard the noise again, but even louder. I got up from my bed and went to my window. Who keeps throwing stuff at my window? I thought in my head as I whipped my curtain to the side. At the sight of the group of people, I rolled my eyes and opened my window. “What the hell guys?! Y’all are going to break my window!” I shouted at them, and they didn’t seem to care. They were known to be the bad kids of the palace, but they were still my friends, unluckily. Nieve, Niko, Jago, and Charmao. The four of them together just put the whole palace in a wreck. I like to call them NJC, which stands for Never judging crackheads. They get mad at me for saying this, but I don't care.

“Hey, Cali! You look cute today, who are you getting dressed for?” Jago said as he winked at me. “Ew. Jago, go hit on Nieve or something!” I made a disgusted face as Nieve looked offended. “CALI DON'T YOU EVER PAIR ME UP WITH THAT!” She said while moving away from him. Jago looked at her and sent a kissy face to her. “Cali, hurry up and get down here before Nieve kills him. Not that I care if he dies, but just come!” Charmao finally spoke up and I shook my head. I closed my window and changed into some sweatpants and a hoodie. I didn't mind wearing comfortable clothes, I just preferred stylish clothes. I got downstairs and my mom was in the living room knitting like always. I told her I was going out for a walk, and she didn’t mind. I met the rest of them by the side of the mansion, so they weren’t seen by my dad. “So, what are y’all up to tonight?” I asked because I haven't seen them in a while, except for Charmao.

“Ugh, Niko please help me with this!" I called out trying to work out this math problem. I never really liked math at all, so I always found it hard. “What is it? Math again Leesi? I told you to focus on class, what’s wrong with you.” Yeah, me and Niko were roommates. We never knew each other before the school paired us up. “I'm sorry it’s just hard, anyways you are the top student in our class, right? He just sighed and took the pencil from my hand. He didn’t say anything so I knew he would do it for me again. I smiled in enjoyment and went to sit on the couch. I took my phone out and noticed that Konar texted me.

ko: hey leesi are you free later on? i need to go to the store to get smthg

me: yea i’ll be there in ten, but why can’t you go by yourself?

I put my phone down and went to the fridge to see if we needed anything. When I saw the sight of the fridge, I shouted in anger due to the fact that we had to do some shopping as well. I saw Niko running to me to check what happened. “why’d you eat all the food?! I know you can’t be that hungry.” I said while going back to the couch. “It wasn’t me; it was the boys. they came here and raided our whole kitchen. I'll go shopping if that’ll make you happier.” I felt guilty for yelling at him, so I told him I'll go. “No, it’s fine I'm going later anyways. do you want anything?” I said while opening my phone again. “Umm... yeah get me my favorite snacks, you already know so thank you baby.” He smiled at me and winked. I groaned in annoyance and replied to Konar.

ko: i feel paranoid so i can’t go by myself, plus you’ll protect me too.

me: shut up hosh you just want me to go with you. it’s fine you can admit it ;)

We finally got to the grocery store, and I went straight to the snack aisle. But it seemed like Konar had different plans. He kept looking around, but I didn’t know what it was. “Hey ko. You good? Why do you keep looking around?” He looked at me with a smile on his face. “It’s nothing, just a little uncomfortable. But let’s hurry up, I wanna watch a movie." I nodded and continued grabbing the stuff the dorm needed. Time passed by and we finally got to the checkout aisle. Konar was still acting weird, and it was freaking you out. “Ko, when we get to the car, you better tell me what’s up.” He nodded as I swiped the card and began to move the cart. We put the stuff in the trunk, and I shot Konar a death stare.

is he gonna help me

Here I was, sitting outside my new apartment with all of my boxes suffocating me. My parents thought that I needed this so I could start to learn how to be independent. But I didn't have a problem with it. In fact, it was my idea to move out so I could be closer to my job. "Do you need help?" I heard a voice appear out of nowhere. I looked to my left to see a tall, attractive guy holding some grocery bags.

He looked kind so of course I had to accept his request. "Are you sure? I mean, I wouldn't want to waste your time. but if you insist..." He laughed as he unlocked his door that happened to be across from mine. I noticed that his pin was 7612 so I made sure to keep that in mind.

I unlocked my door and started putting the small boxes inside first. so, I could see his muscles flex when he was bringing in bigger boxes. I wonder if he would catch onto what I'm doing right now. He came back about a minute later and I could tell by the look on his face that he was knew what I was doing. "You're funny... I like you. By the way, my name is Konar." as he was saying that my stomach started to boil. "Khaleesi. but you can call me Leesi."

two months later

The past two months have been horrible for me. My powers were only powerful when I was sleeping. And I kept losing focus due to Soonyoung always teasing me for my weak abilities. “You still can’t move a rock? Wow you really are hopeless.” Soonyoung chuckled as he walked past me. I picked up a rock and threw it at his back. Causing him to turn around and rubbed his back and making a sore face. “What was that for?! I didn’t even do anything.” I smirked and walked towards him. I traced his face with my fingers and stopped. “Don’t make fun of me or else you wouldn’t like it.” I smiled and looked at him deeply. “What if I embarrassed you in front of everybody? Should I make you wet your pants? Oh... where’s the fun in that? Hmm... maybe make you have a boner? Silly me, I shouldn’t say that.” I asked him as his face became red. I put my hand down to grab his. “C'mon Soonie, let’s go!”

I walked him towards the lake, and it was unusually quiet. “Why is it so... quiet? Whatever you need to help me.” I said as I walked towards the dock. He was still behind me, but I noticed that he looked a little unsettled. “Soonyoung are you okay? you look a little look pale.” When I said that I heard something moving in the trees. I looked around but I couldn’t see anything. “Do you hear it too?” He whispered and I nodded. I didn’t want to approach whatever was in there, but Soonyoung did. “Why are you getting closer to it?! Get back Soonie. Oh, my goodness! what’s wrong with you?!” I slapped his back, and he turned around. “Hey! Don’t do that.“ My life flashed before my eyes due to whatever came out. “SOONYOUNG!” I tried to warn him from the beast that came out from the forest, but I was too late. It had already scratched his whole back and disappeared within five seconds.

My breathing hitched and my anger was getting worse and worse. my eyesight became green, and my hands felt more powerful than I’ve ever felt. I held out my hands and felt all nerves released as I screamed. The trees fell and I spotted something, the beast that had almost killed my friend. I started running and using the broken trunks that had fallen to hit the beast. “HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY FRIEND?!” I managed to catch up and tackle it to the floor. I used one of the stakes I had found on the floor and tried to stab the beast. But it was so strong I was losing my balance. Out of luck, I grabbed its arm and slammed it to the ground. As I was about to stab it, I heard the guys running towards me. calling out my name, but I was too upset to stop. I kept piercing it right through its chest. “You killed my friend!! how could you?! How am I supposed to live without him? I- I loved him!” I screamed once again as I stabbed it once more but this time, a red light came out of its chest. an unusual sound came out very loudly which made me cover my ears. then all of a sudden, the beast disappeared.

All was left was a red diamond which had a familiar border alongside it. I put it in my pocket and ran back too Soonyoung, who was laying on the floor. But he was laughing? The others looked at him confusedly too. they looked at me and shrugged. “You were cool back there. You even said you loved me.” He cheesed which made me remembered why I hated him so much. “Shut up... are you hurt? Let’s hurry up and get back to the house.” I said to him, and the others helped him stand up. on the way back, I felt guilty. Guilty, that I could’ve helped him. But I was too slow.

time skip

Ever since the incident, I decided to go to Charmaine’s house. But I brought someone with me. Vernon, who was desperate to get out of the house and see someone new. “So... is she cute?” “She has a boyfriend. Besides, I’ll find you someone. Don’t worry about it.” I chuckled as he had a frown on his face and sighed. I locked the car and walked towards the door. When I was about to knock on the door, Charmaine had already opened it. “Hii! Leesi!! and Leesi’s boy~“ “He’s just a friend!” I cut her off and chuckled awkwardly. Vernon just laughed it off and introduced himself. “Yeah, just a friend. We definitely aren’t anything else, right, Leesi?” He smirked and winked at me. “Nonie, I swear if you don’t stop playing. I. Will. Kill. You.” He immediately nodded, and we headed inside.

Mingyu’s Pov

The only thing that’s been on my mind was that night. I know it’s embarrassing but it felt like eye candy. The way she threw her head back in pleasure made me so dizzy. Its been two months but the memory just keeps popping up. And I know I shouldn’t be thinking about this but I can’t help it. So the only person I could think of going to was Jun. “Hey Jun.” I went to sit on the couch where it all happened. “What’s up?” “You remember that one night..” “I knew it.”

I felt so thirsty, I couldn’t feel my body. I felt so dehydrated and sweaty at the same time. I didn’t have a cup with me, and I didn’t want to bother anyone this late. I put my head back down and looked out the window. It was beautiful especially the stars and planets. I really wish I had telekinesis powers so bad. I can’t get up and I’m so tired, being sick is really the worst. So, to make me feel a little better, I just imagined that I had powers. First, I got the cup out of the cupboard, fill the cup with water, make its way up the stairs and into my room. I drank the nice cold ice water and lived happily ever after. That was refreshing.

[morning after]

This time it was Soonyoung to check up on me. He opened the door quietly to see me sleeping peacefully. He stared at me for a couple of seconds and then realized that I was wet. Like really wet, my shirt and blankets were wet. I felt my body get stronger as I woke up. “AAHH SHIT SOONYOUNG fuck why didn’t you tell me you’re here?!” I looked around me and felt water on me. “Umm why am I wet?” I asked him and he laughed at me. Why do you have to be so childish in the morning. “Soonyoung, shut up it’s not funny. I’m serious. Did you spill on me?” “No, but did you have a dream about me?” He smirked, and I immediately grabbed by pillow and started hitting him with it. “Oww. I was just kidding… I think.” “Stop thinking dirty! I don’t know how this water got on me but I’m not staying in it.” I got up from my bed and made my way to the bathroom. “Where are you going? Wonwoo said you have to stay in bed.” “Well, I’m feeling a lot better now so I’m going to the bathroom.”

Before I could even make my way out the door i felt him grab my arm. he pushed me on the bed and went on top of me. “What now, Soonyoung? There’s no way you’re horny this early in the morning.” I said as I tried to get out of his embrace, but he was too strong. “I’m not horny I just want a goodbye kiss.” He smiled at me, as I rolled my eyes to hide the fact that I was blushing. I went to the garden to relax for a little while until Minghao came out. I was sitting near the fountain and watched the little fishes swimming. “Hey Leesi, you watching the fish?” He said as he sat beside me. “Yeah…by the way do you have a clue why Seungcheol doesn’t want me in there?” “What exactly is there, red panda?” He squished my cheeks, and I pushed them away while laughing. “Really red panda? and how do I look like that?” “Well, your eyes are close to the color of their fur, and you have some white streaks in your hair.” He tried hard to make up that sentence and I really wasn’t buying it. I mean the red panda is cute so I can see why he called me that. But I have to get the answer from him now. “Wait. Don’t distract me! why won't he let me inside the room?” I asked as I grabbed his wrists. He tried to pull away, but my grip tightened. “I- it’s… I can’t tell you now. I want to so bad, but you can’t know yet.”

I looked at him in disbelief and released his hands out of mine. I got up in silence and walked towards the house. “Wait where are you going?!” He yelled out because he thought I was gonna do something regretful. “I’m going to jun.” And with that I didn’t speak to him. I didn’t want to be rude, of course I love him. But I just need to clear my mind. I saw him on the couch watching some drama on the tv. I sat beside him and watched a little bit before sighing. He didn’t notice so I did it again but a little louder. Still didn’t hear it. “Hm~" “What is it?” he cut me off before I could finish. “It’s nothing… I just feel bored. What’re you watching by the way?” “The Glory. But tell me what’s wrong, Leesi.” He pulled me closer to him by wrapping his arms around my waist. “I just want to know what’s so special about that room, and why you guys didn’t want me in there.” “Well, I don’t know why you want to be in there so bad. Trust me Seungcheol gets really you know. So, he leaves some nasty stuff around the room.”

“You’re lying, y’all could’ve told me that this whole time. Never knew Seungcheol was like that.” That was the end of my curiosity of trying to find out what’s behind that door. I laid back down to watch the drama. After some time, I went to go get something to eat until my vision became very red. I don't know why but I felt needy almost. my throat started to get dry, and I couldn’t think. I went back to Jun without saying anything and went to sit by him. The only thing I thought of was how he was sitting. His hand behind his head and him manspreading. I went to sit on his lap and mess with his hair. He didn't notice anything until I put my head on his neck and started to move it back and forth. he smelt so good that I started to go crazy.

“Jun~, focus on me.” I groaned, almost kissing his neck, he finally got out of his senses and realized I was there. “Leesi, what are you doing?” I could feel his heart picking up speed, so I smiled in satisfaction. I backed up to look at his flustered face. I grabbed his hands to place them on my waist so he could know that he’s in on this too. “Jun have I ever told you that you’re so hot.” I whispered in his ear and started running my hands from his chest to his lower stomach. almost getting to the part where you could feel something. Until he pulled my hand away. “Leesi, you don't want to do this. What's gotten into you?” He said and I could see how red his face was. So, you're the weak type huh? This is gonna be fun. That's it I couldn't hold myself back anymore. I smashed my lips onto his as I tasted the excitement from him. He didn’t hold back either and started to kiss me harder. i looked back at Jun where he had two holes in his neck. Did I just bite jun? “Why did you bite him?” Seungcheol asked as he walked around his room. the guilt kept running around in my head and it made me sick. the thought of me biting him didn’t make sense. I don’t know but I felt like I had to. “Leesi.” He said a little louder and it made me jump. I had to say something, or else it would escalate the situation even quicker. “I don’t know Seungcheol, I kept hearing a voice in my head, but it still doesn’t make sense.” He looked at me confusedly, then went to take a seat in front of me. “Is he okay? please tell me he’s okay or I won’t be able to sleep.” I said with worry in my voice, also cracking due to my shakiness. “He’s fine, but he still has a boner. But did you like it?” He raised his eyebrow up and chuckled. I can’t believe that I'm saying this, but I did like it, and I wanted more. I looked back at him and nodded. He didn’t seem shocked, so he had to know something.

“Do you believe in vampires?” I asked him and that’s when the face I was expecting to see, appeared. “Yeah... do you?” “Yes.” I was back in my room, too scared to leave the room. I looked out the window it started to rain lightly, so I took the chance to make my room look cozier. I lit the candles and plugged in the fairy lights in my room. I took my journal out and started to write all of the crazy events that happened today. As I was writing I heard someone knocking on my door. I was hoping it wasn’t Jun, because it would be embarrassing to stand in front of him. "Come in.” they waited a few seconds before opening the door and it was Vernon. All of the tension released as I saw him. “Hey.” “Hi Vernon, what’s up?” I said thinking that he would feel more uncomfortable being in here. Even after witnessing what I did. I patted a spot on my bed so he could sit. I thought that everyone would be mad, but they seemed normal about it. “I don’t want to say this out loud but how was it like kissing him?”

My eyes widened and he motioned for me not to speak. he smiled, almost giggling. Instead, he told me to use my brain to try to talk to him. “Try to focus on me and say your thoughts but without speaking.” he said, and I nodded trying to calm myself down. "How can you talk to me like this, isn’t this like telepathy?” “Yeah, but you can also speak to me from miles away. Isn’t it cool?” “YES, IT IS! But how can we do this?” He had a worried look on his face, like he didn’t want to tell me. I begged with my eyes, and he gave in. “Do you believe in vampires?” “This is the second time someone asked me this question, but why?” “You didn’t answer my first question! So did you like Jun this whole time?!” “SHUT UP VERNON!” He put his hand over my mouth, and I started hitting him with my pillow. He started laughing and grabbed the other pillow to hit me with it. He laid back on my bed and watched the rain. “I don’t know if I like him Nonie, I just did what I felt like I needed. does this sound weird?” I looked out the window also. “No, you were just really horny, so I don’t blame you.” He laughed as I gave in. He’s really funny and I just noticed this now.

“Maybe I was.” We both stopped laughing as I just ruined the atmosphere. He shook his head and I agreed too. “You just ruined the joke. Leesi... but anyways, I think you might be a vampire.” I whipped my head towards him as he shrugged. I mean it could be true but that's dumb to think. Especially when I just started feeling weird ever since I came here. As I was thinking of what Vernon said earlier, on how we could talk to each other with using our thoughts. it reminded me of when Wonwoo was in the room with me. “Can I do this with everyone or just you?” “Do what? Using telepathy?” “Yeah. Cause I have a feeling Wonwoo knew what I said earlier.” “Umm I think so maybe? Do you want to try?” I jumped up from my bed and said yes. He rolled his eyes and gave in again. He pulled me down to sit on the bed again. “Okay, well the first thing you need to do is focus on who you want to speak with. Because if you’re thinking about multiple people then they would all the get message.”

“Really? I can talk to multiple people at a time?” I said excitedly as I held his hands. “Yes. But listen to me and stop interrupting. So, who do you want to talk to?” I gave it a long thought before saying the name. But the bad thing was Jun was the only person on my mind. “Do you really like Jun that much?” He said disappointingly as I put my head down and nodded. “Okay, then say something to Jeonghan or joshua. they should be easiest to communicate with.” I tilted my head because what does that mean. “Joshua… what do you think of having se-.” I got stopped by Vernon who took his hands off of mine. “Nope. That's it. I can’t be around such a horny person right now. You need to go talk to Chan and Seungkwan to get that fixed. Immediately!” And with that he left my room. I chuckled a little bit and went to go after him. Then I was stopped by Joshua, who came into my room. I don’t know how he got in here so quickly, but he looked really excited for some reason. “What we’re you saying?” He said as he closed the door behind us. One hand on my waist and his other pinning my hand to the wall. My heart started pounding due to the closeness.

Why is he so close to me? I can't breathe I have to get out of here. "You know I can hear you, right? Plus, didn't you want me to do this. Make you all warm inside, begging for my touch." He smirked as he saw my face burn up. He moved his hands down my waist and went closer to my neck. "You're so cute when you're nervous." He whispered in my ear as he backed away, leaving my room without saying anything. There I was, all speechless and couldn't leave my spot against the wall. I felt something wet and when I looked down. My eyes widened and I immediately went to take a shower. I really need to talk to Chan and Seungkwan. As I was laying down on my bed, almost dazing off, I was disturbed by a group of boys barging into my room. To be in fact it was Seungcheol, Jeonghan , Mingyu, Seokmin, and Wonwoo. I tried to ask what they were doing but Wonwoo put a blindfold on me, and someone picked me up. We went down the stairs and I felt some cool air. So, I guessed we were outside.

“Why are we outside? and most importantly who’s carrying me right now?!” I yelled out and they just laughed. I tried to roll my eyes, but they were forced shut. “Okay then don’t answer my question. Can anyone tell me why we had to leave the house?” Again, there was no answer. I finally gave up and just stayed in silence. my eyes widened when I was remembered I was wearing a skirt. A short skirt. The position I was in was not the best if you’re behind me. “Is anyone behind me?! Oh my gosh put me down. I’ll walk.” They put me down and I fixed my skirt. As I was about to take my blindfold off, a pair of hands stopped mine. “Just wait y/n.” Wonwoo's voice made me tense up. I sighed and listened. It’s been about 20 minutes and we were still walking. My legs gave out so many times, but Seokmin encouraged me to stay strong. I tried listening to his advice but I’m not the best at cardio. “Are we... almost there?” Mingyu asked and it sounded like he was out of breath. “Not yet, but like halfway to almost.” Seungcheol said and Mingyu, Seokmin, and I complained. “If you guys stop complaining then we can get you guys those chai teas you like so much.” Jeonghan said as we jumped up in joy. Wonwoo looked really excited too, surprisingly.

[10 minutes later]

We finally got to the place, and they took my blindfold off. i rubbed my eyes due to the brightness. I looked around and this was another beautiful scenery you felt like I’ve seen before. just like what happened with jun. I woke up in the middle of the night due to the nightmare I wish I’ve never had to see again. the nightmare that always used to haunt me when I was younger. I felt my breathing start picking up fast and I couldn’t breathe. I need him. I need Soonyoung. Help me please anyone I can’t breathe. Soonyoung, are you there? I started to stumble as I walked to his room. the thunder was getting louder and louder as I opened the door. I saw him peacefully sleeping on his bed. I tried to get closer to him, but I ended up knocking the book down on the nightstand. it woke him up quickly and he noticed it was me. “Leesi, are you okay? What’s wrong? Please don’t tell me it’s that nightmare again.” How did he know I had nightmares? This is the first time it’s ever happened since I was a kid. So how could he possibly know?

“So-soonyoung help me.” I said as he pulled me onto his bed and pulled the blanket over me. “Do you want me to lay with you?” he whispered as he pushed the hair out of my face. I nodded and he laid himself down next to me. making sure I wasn’t cold or anything he gave me most of the blanket. “This might sound weird, but can you come closer to me?” I said and he didn’t even think twice. He wrapped his arm around my waist and snuggled into my neck. his warm breath on my neck made me feel safer. “Thank you, Soonyoung.” “No. Thank you for coming to me.” He said quietly but I still heard it. I don’t know why but this felt familiar. like I’ve done this before. But that wouldn’t be possible, right?

Soonyoung's Pov

This reminded me of when we were younger. She would always come to me when she had a nightmare. That’s why I knew exactly why she came barging into my room at night. It made my heart ache thinking of how she had to deal with that. She lost her parents at such a young age. But luckily, we took her in, making sure she lives a decent life and hopefully it worked.

next morning

I woke up with my arms still wrapped around Khaleesi. She laid peacefully with her hair blocking her face. I moved the strands of curly hair away; Her eyelashes and eyebrows were so thick and complimented her face a lot. As I was admiring her, I noticed my hand travel up and down her sides. But the thing was, I wasn’t doing it. It was like something was controlling me and it was so strong. She started smiling and her body started warming up. “Soonyoung.. you’re so bold.” She mumbled which made me blush like crazy. My hand started moving up, up, and up almost reaching her chest. “Y/n wake up!” I yelled out which made her jump. She looked around and smacked my arm. “What the hell Soonyoung?! I was sleeping peacefully.” She yelled out and then smiled as she said the second part. “Oh... umm, I was uhh. I wanted you to help me with something.” I said anxiously. She scoffed and tried to go back to sleep. Realizing that she wasn’t tired anymore, she got up and dragged me off the bed with her.

“Come on let’s go join the others. I can hear them being so loud.” She scoffed and made her way to the bathroom. I went along so I could accompany her. Also, I needed to freshen up as well. “What was your dream about?” I asked her even though I had a clue of what it was. She kept quiet and shook her head. When we got done washing our face, we went downstairs to join the others. They were already eating without us which was pretty annoying. But understandable since we were always the one to wake up last. “What’d you cook today Gyu? Hopefully it’s French toast again?” She asked eagerly as she sat on the stool. “Well todays your unlucky day! Eat what you want or don’t at all.” He smiled cheekily as she rolled her eyes and crossers her arms. “Come on Mingyu, you know you’re my favorite.” She pouted which almost made me and everyone puke. “Please don’t ever do that again. Please, I’m begging.” Vernon said as she bit back. “For real. Whoever told you that was cute... ha they really did you wrong.”

Seungkwan also added and all of us laughed. “Oh I hate you all. Especially you Seokmin.” She pointed out which made him surprised. “What did I do?!” He put his hand over his chest, and she smirked. “Just that. Besides Minghao is my actual favorite. Plus, he doesn’t make fun of me like y’all do.” She went to go hug him and mess with his hair. “See, I know y’all are jealous. Look at all this special treatment she’s giving me.” Jeonghan looked at them suspiciously and spoke out,“And you can for sure keep her.” They all started laughing again as she had that annoyed expression on her face. She looked like she was about to kill someone, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she did. “YOON JEONGHAN IM GONNA KILL YOU!” She started chasing him around the kitchen as Seungcheol, Joshua, and Jihoon tried holding her back. Which didn’t work of course. Jeonghan was screaming for his life as if he’s seen an animal. “Y/n chill out. We’re just joking with you.” She finally calmed down and sat by me again. As everyone was talking, I noticed that she was really quiet again.

She kept blinking and every time she opened them her eyes will turn darker and darker. I took her hand and asked if she was alright and she kept saying yes. Until she finally looked up at me and smirked. “You know about my dream last night. And how your hands started rubbing all over me. Breathing on my neck with you teeth grazing over it. “Please don’t tell me it’s happening again.” Minghao pointed to us and the rest of them looked at us shocked. “Soonie.. hmm please give me it. Now- I need you so bad.” She mumbled against me and then she pulled away. Making her way to my neck and just as someone was about to pull her away, I felt myself getting carried away. Then suddenly she stopped. Her facial expressions was blank. I suddenly looked at the others and I noticed Chan’s eyes turn purple. He was using his powers against her. Even though we promised to never do that. “She needs to feed from someone, Chan. Please let me give it to her.” I said and he nodded, turning his eyes back to normal. Quickly, she went back to my neck and bit me sharply. She didn’t know how to stop herself from drinking a lot so Wonwoo made sure to pull her away after 7 seconds. She finally drank enough and her eyes also turned back to her normal color. She held her head assuming she had a headache. That must’ve been Chan blood bending her. It was silent in the room. She just stood there dumbfounded as we all stared at her.

“I’m sorry.” She said looking down. That’s when we knew we had to come clean. “No, we’re sorry we haven’t told you anything. Leesi, you’re a vampire, if you haven’t noticed yet. To add more to that, we’re all vampires in fact.” Seungcheol rambled and she didn’t even look a little shocked. Well, I’m guessing the part where we admitted that she was a vampire. “I knew that... but I didn’t know you guys were.” She looked like she was about to laugh and that confused all of us.

Seungkwan, Jeonghan, Mingyu, and Seokmin went to go out for something. I had to stay behind with the rest. As they taught Khaleesi how to adapt and it was interesting to know a lot more about them. It wasn’t the normal vampire stereotypes but information on how to heal yourself and stuff like that. “So basically to sum it up. Joshua is useless to us.” I said and then the hit my arm. “Shut up, if it weren’t for me. You would’ve been marked with scars all over you body. Since you live to be reckless.” I chuckled as he crossed his arms. “So how’s it like biting people y/n? Since you’re so good at it.” He said with a little annoyance. I looked over at Khaleesi who was putting her head down. “I’m sorry Jun... I should’ve controlled myself a little more. I won’t do it again.” She said under her breath, but we could hear her.

After she said that, a little smirk appeared on Jun’s face. I wanted to know what he was thinking but there was something blocking me. Like I couldn’t communicate with him. It was a little weird, but I didn’t think much of it. “So, Leesi... have you tried telepathy yet?” Seungcheol asked and everyone looked at her. But Joshua and Vernon looked suspicious the most. “Umm...” But then I could notice her look at them. I'm guessing, they were talking to her. “No I haven’t. Can you teach me?” She said successfully and looked back at Seungcheol. “I want to!” Wonwoo shouted and all of us looked at him weirdly. “It’s never that serious Wonwoo.” Jihoon said and laid back on the couch, closing his eyes. “I mean sure. Why not?”

“You just had to what?” I asked the boy with the sharp nose. He turned to me quickly and so did everyone else. “What are you talking about?” “Don't you have to do something? You were talking too.” You pointed at the boy who was standing next to him. They all looked so scared like I could read minds or something. “We didn’t say anything I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I crossed your arms while rolling my eyes. I was sure that I heard them talking but why aren’t they saying anything. “Well, I should get going, shouldn’t I?” I realized that I was in their house, and it was awkward to just stand there. When I was about to get my stuff, someone pulled my arm. “Well don’t you want to get to know us at least?” He smiled at me and of course I had to say yes. “Ha, I mean okay why not.”

I got to know everyone’s names and they were actually fun to be around. The whole day we played games and watched movies. But the thought at the back of my head kept coming back. I tried pull Soonyoung to the side to ask him a few questions. But I couldn't get anything out of him. So, my next choice was Jihoon. “What’d you want to talk about?” I pulled him into my room since that’s where you could get the most privacy. “How old are you guys?” The sudden question made him a little uncomfortable, but he still told me. How are they born in the 90’s if the picture was taken in the 80’s? “What are you thinking about Leesi?” “Oh… it nothing I have to go now.” I ran to Minghao who was outside so you could ask him. But when I got to the door, I felt someone pull my arm. Before I could open my eyes, I could feel that he pinned me to the wall. “What were you doing in my room?” His deep voice was almost scaring me but since I didn’t like to show fear, I decided to speak up.

I finally opened my eyes, and it was Seungcheol but he was so close to my face. I could feel him breathing and his heartbeat against my chest. “The cat showed me some keys and it led me to your room.” He scoffed and looked away. “A cat showed you. And where is it now?” “I don’t know that last time I saw it was last night.” We kept silent for a little bit, and I realized the position we were in. I tried to push him back, but he didn’t budge. I should ask him about the pictures because it is his room. But what if he doesn’t want to tell me? Ugh why am I here right now? I kept thinking that my head was about to explode. Then he looked back at the pictures. “You want to know about those?” How the hell did he know that? Could he read minds or something? “No, I can’t read minds, but I was sure that you wanted to know about it.” Now I convinced that he could read my mind, so I made a dumb test in my head. What’s my favorite color? “Black.” Now I’m leaving this place. How did he know that?

“I like your black hair it’s pretty on you. Also, why are you so silent?” “Can you get off me please?” He got off of me and pulled my arm again. He took you out the door in his room. “Don’t ever come back here again without my permission, got it?” He whispered in my ear, sending chills down my spine. I nodded and left. When I was running towards the back door, someone bumped into me again. WHY DOES EVEYONE KEEP BLOCKING MY WAY?! “Are you okay Leesi?” Jun asked me as he patted my head, but his hands were so cold. Why are his hands so cold? “Don’t worry about that but are you going outside too?” “Yeah, actually I had to go ask Minghao something but at this point I don’t care anymore.” Wait, what that’s not what I wanted to say! “Ok. Well come here I want to show you something.” He held my hand and took me outside to the garden. I spotted Minghao there and he was, “Meditating?” “Shhh, Leesi we have to be quiet.” He rolled his eyes as I held myself back from slapping him. We were walking towards the little pond I saw earlier, and it was prettier than before. “Oh yeah Minghao cleaned up the water a little bit so it looked nicer.”

“So, he’s the gardener here?” “You can say that but don’t tell him I said that!” We giggled and walked some more. The trail was nice and quiet, and it felt calming. “Wow the trees are so beautiful I love this place.” “That’s why I wanted to bring you here again.” he looked at you in adoration, but you just admired the trees more. “But this isn't what I wanted to show you come n let’s hurry before it gets late.” He started to run fast, and I could barely keep up with him. But when he stopped, I finally got to catch my breath. “Jun what the hell is wrong with you! I can't run for too long.” My hands were on my knees, not noticing the wonder standing before me. I looked up and saw the prettiest place I've ever seen. “OH, MY FUCKING GOSH JUNN I LOVE YOU!!” I gave him the biggest hug and started running everywhere. This was the best gift that anyone could give to me.

Jun’s Pov

When I saw her run around it reminded me of her years ago. I brought her here once when she was a kid and now, she’s the same. She doesn't remember us but hopefully one day we could tell her. Maybe she will see us the same. Hopefully.

My Pov

After a while of taking in this beauty I eventually got tired, so it was time to go back. “Hey Leesi, we should go back!” He yelled. “Ok but I need to tell you something!” I started to walk back to him, and he walked to me too. The moonlight was so pretty, and it made his features shine. Woah he’s so attractive. “You’re so pretty.” He said and it made me want to kick him cause of how much I loved it. I looked away and couldn’t stop blushing. I've only known him for a day, and it felt like we were close already. “Thanks, and you’re also hot too.” “What was that Leesi?” He smirked in my face and said my name differently. “Nothing, let’s go?” “You know you like me.” I turned around so quick and hit his arm, running as fast as I could.

It's been two months since I’ve been living there and honestly it was never weird once. Due to the fact that I'm living with thirteen boys. I decided to take a shower since you had to go shopping tomorrow. But when I was picking out my clothes, Soonyoung barged into my room and pushed me on the bed. He pulled the blanket over me as I struggled to get up. “SOONYOUNG GET OFF NOWWW!!” he wouldn’t stop so I put all my might into my feet and knocked him over. “Ow, what the hell. Leesi.” He groaned as he rubbed his back. “I’m sorry Soonyoung but you should’ve gotten off me when I told you to.” I tried to sound sympathetic but deep down I was cackling and rubbing my hands. “Ok now get off my floor and go to your room please.” But he didn’t get out in fact he was going towards me again. Looking at him in disbelief. “So, you’re not leaving?” I asked him, and he just smiled, climbing onto my bed. Boy what the fuck. He just pulled me by my waist and laid down. I was so confused but I kind of liked it. “Soo~" “Don’t. I’m tired.” He pulled me closer and snuggled his face into my neck. I looked down to his hands and they were so nice.

It was the next morning and Soonyoung was gone. he wouldn’t stop talking to you the whole night. I got dressed and walked downstairs to be hit by the smell of pancakes. Mingyu cooking in front of the stove. “Hey Mingyu, what’re you cooking?” you asked already knowing the answer, but you liked talking to him. “Chocolate pancakes but you can’t get any.” “Why, I’m hungry and shouldn’t you be cooking for me anyways?” “I’m not your slave y/n now make your own food.” he chuckled at you, and you rolled your eyes. “Whatever your food isn’t that good at all.” you walked to the pantry to get some cereal but then somebody stopped you. I turned around and saw Mingyu holding my hand. "I’m just joking here.” He gave me the sweetest smile making my stomach hot. “Thank you.” I went to eat my pancakes at the stool so you could talk to Mingyu also. you took a bite, and it was delicious. “Mingyu how come everyone is still sleeping?” I said, taking a sip of my cranberry juice.

“I guess they like to sleep and- wait why are you drinking that?!” He took the cup from my hand and looked at me horridly. I was so confused because it was just juice. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was yours. Plus, it was too good, I couldn’t resist.” I tried to take the cup from him, but he just backed away. “Doesn’t it taste weird though?” “No. It’s good, why? Is there alcohol in it?” He looked a little relieved but didn’t want to show it. “Yes, but don’t drink it ok.” “Fine~” I looked at my phone and noticed it was time to go. I hugged Mingyu and said bye. Grabbing my shoes and keys, I was gone in a flash.

Mingyu's Pov

“Why does she like it? There’s no way she could be one, right?” I went to Wonwoo's room since he was the second smartest person I knew. I didn't want to disturb Seungcheol since he might throw a book at me or something. I knocked on his door and it opened. He still looked tired, but I had to tell him. “What is it, Mingyu?” I took a deep breath in and said what I had to say. “I think y/n might be one of us.” He shut the door in my face, so I went to Minghao's room. “Minghao, I need to talk to you.” “Go to Wonwoo.” he said behind the door. “I already tried but he just closed the door in my face. Please, Minghao.” “Fine, you can come in.” I opened the door and I saw Minghao sitting on the floor reading something. the words were in Chinese, so I didn’t know what it was about. “What’re you reading?” “You wanted to talk to me so what did you want?” I just rolled my eyes and scoffed.

“So, you know the cranberry juice in the fridge, right?” “Yeah, what about it?” “Leesi was drinking it and.." “WHAT?!” “Shut up, Minghao and listen. So, when it took it from her it asked her if it tasted weird and she said it was good.” “Why does she like it though, she should’ve been puking that out.” “I don’t know but it’s weird. Then she asked me if there was alcohol in it and I had to make up an excuse and said yes.” “Ok good but we can’t let her drink anymore, so we need to keep it in a wine bottle.” “Ok, thanks for listening. I was freaking out the whole time.”

My Pov

Charmaine, Genevieve, and I were looking for new lingerie that would suit us. “Ok guys I have so much to tell y’all." they looked at each other and faced towards you. “Spill it.” you told them everything you knew, and they couldn’t say anything. you knew that it sounded unbelievable in your head. We got done shopping and we all parted ways. Since I still had time to waste, I decided to go to a library. you spent a while there reading some romance novels that’s you haven’t finished yet. it was your favorite genre to read because you can’t get that in real life. but twenty minutes into reading someone bumped into the table it was at and apologized. "I’m so sorry.” The woman’s voice said. you looked back and you couldn’t see her face. You sighed and went back to reading. Eventually, I was done reading and went to pick up my stuff until I noticed a red small letter on the edge of the table. I thought that the woman dropped it when she was passing by until I saw my name. “Khaleesi Barlowe.”

I opened the letter and noticed that the top had some type of logo on it. “Don’t trust everyone you think you’re comfortable with. You don’t know if they could be hiding something from you. Remember to always think about other people's actions and how they affect you." I woke up to see Soonyoung on your bed again, facing the other way this time. I sighed to myself as you played with his hair. Why does he always have to sleep in my room? He's always keeps me up at night just to talk like we can’t talk during the day. But he does have some interesting theories and conspiracies though. you’ve always been closest with him all the time, that the others would get mad at you because you never spend time with them. But that wasn’t my fault that we instantly clicked. I looked at the time and immediately got up. “6:15 pm?!” I turned around to Soonyoung looking at you tiredly. I shook his arms to wake him up as he rubbed his eyes. He mumbled something but it was very faint.

“Hmm why?” he said again as he took the blanket over him again. When he laid back down, I yanked the blanket from him so he would get up. then I noticed he was shirtless. Why does he have to lay on my bed especially when his abs are exposed. “Soonyoung get up! Why are we waking up so late?!” I yelled out again and got up from the bed. I went to go see if everyone was awake, but I didn’t hear anybody. It was plain silence, so I went to go check their rooms. They were all sleeping. I went back to my room and decided to calm down. I saw Soonyoung laying there with his eyes closed. Suddenly, I felt very sleepy. Even though I was sleeping for twenty hours. My head started to get heavier and heavier. I knew that standing up wouldn’t help at all, so I went back to my bed. then I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I looked back to see Soonyoung smiling, and I chuckled. “Goodnight Soonyoung.” I said as he buried his face into my neck, leaving small kisses.

[11:13 pm] I woke up from my sleep again and I went to go wash up. after I was done, I decided to get something to eat since I was very hungry. I went downstairs to see everyone eating. But they were all drinking the cranberry juice Mingyu told me not to drink. They all greeted me from my sleep because I felt like I was sleeping for a whole year. I don’t know why I woke up so late, but I wasn't tired anymore. “Hey Leesi, why are you up so late?” Wonwoo asked. “I could ask all of you the same thing.” I chuckled as I went to the fridge, taking out a whole bunch of food and went to the table. They all looked at me crazily as I threw all of my food on the table. “Umm, should we stop her from eating that much?” Jun asked the rest of them as they shook their head yes. Then Seungcheol, Vernon, and Seungkwan tried to take some of my food, but I stopped them. Hovering over the food with my whole body and shot them all a death stare.

Minghao's Pov

“Minghao, why are her eyes turning green?!” Mingyu asked me as I shrugged in silence. “Only the Llunga family could do that. It’s their royal color!” “What do you mean my eyes are green? Are you going insane, Gyu?” She laughed out loud, and everyone looked at her again.

My Pov

I looked at them confusedly as I took another bite out of my sandwich. but right when I took a bite, I started to get dizzy. I tried to look around, but everything looked green. then suddenly my head fell on the table, causing a huge thud.

I woke up with a foggy feeling in my head. I tried to get up, but I noticed that I wasn’t in my room. I got up quickly but then I felt dizzy again. then someone rushed into the room and got me before I could fall. “Wonwoo? is that you?” I whispered. He nodded and brought me back to the bed, putting his hand on my forehead, but when he touched my head, his hand felt very cold. or was my head burning up. he flinched when he noticed that I was really hot. I sighed and laid back down. “Oh, my goodness you’re burning up Leesi! Just wait I’ll get ice.” He said in worry which made me upset that he was stressing out for me. he came back really fast which made me flinch in bed. He sat on the bed gently and moved my curls away from my face. he was really close to my face, and I could feel his breath on my face. I tried my hardest not to smile at him.

“Why am I burning up Wonwoo? was it the juice that I drank? wait maybe I’m drunk Haha.” After he put the ice pack on my forehead, he started to rub my cheeks. “you’re so cute…” He mumbled something, but I couldn’t hear him. “Hmm?” He looked away and picked up the extra stuff. “it’s nothing but you need to rest now okay.” I grumbled because I’ve been resting for a day now. “Why~?” I tried to make a cute voice but instead I cringed from it, and so did Wonwoo. “don’t talk to me with that voice, it’s not cute.” He made an annoyed face, and it made me laugh. “Ugh, now I’m gonna have to sleep all day, all night, and all year. Just cause of this dumb, whatever I have.” I crossed my arms and laid back down. “Well, I’m sorry that you have to deal with this. But trust me you’ll feel better soon.” He put the ice pack on my forehead again. “Yeah… you’re right thank you.” “I could stay here if you want company, I don't have anything to do, so I’d rather spend it with you.”

I felt my cheeks get hot and my eyes get shaky. He squinted at my eyes because he could see me freaking out, then chuckled with his deep voice. “Chill out Leesi I’m not that attractive. Well maybe I am, but that’s now the point here.” “Well shit maybe you can rail me until you get to that point.” I thought in my head and laughed a bit. Then Wonwoo's face turned so red, and he ran out the room. “Hmm what’s up with him, idk but these boys here are kind of weird.”
