this is my homura design for an alternate universe i'm making, and it's a lot of fun! (*´-`)

spoilers for madoka magica ★

this is based on the ending of rebellion, where homura hopes to give madoka a normal life, free of her celestial duties. she finds that the colliding energy of both the "devil" and "god" is what causes madoka to remember her god form. so, homura runs away to the end of the world she created, and forces herself to be as far from madoka as possible...for her own sake.

however, madoka still dreams of her. she dreams of every timeline that homura went through, since once she became god, she was able to see them all. she gets curious about this girl, but there is no new student named homura akemi. just her and her endless dreams.

eventually, she finds homura. but oddly enough, homura says this:

"I am god, and I've created this world for you."

she wants to hide the fact that madoka is god while simultaneously granting herself the gratitude she so selfishly, but desperately, wants.

homura cut her hair short to be even more unrecognizable. she also keeps madoka's red ribbon, so madoka wears yellow in this universe.

she also has many elements from madokami, such as the sleeves, but clearly homura-fied. her outfit also includes the white part that is missing on madokami's chest, and many of madokami's gems wrapped around her waist.

I'm really proud of this design, but it may need some changing in the future. for example the veil, you could see i wasnt too sure about it as i didnt use it in the second drawing, but it was a good try

the short hair definitely isn't changing though, i love that (^-^)/

im sorry if you didnt think it was very accurate, but please dont tell me haha. im having fun in my own little world ~~~

i'll definitely keep posting more about this, or atleast some drawings that i make as i develop it. thank you so much for reading!

Happy timeloop day! today is also my birthday. I'm lucky to be a big Homura fan

today is march 16th which is the start of homura’s month and a half timeloop. on april 30th when she fails to defeat walpurgisnacht and save madoka she will return to this day to start over.
