Jason slowly nodded, because why not?

Part of him knew that it was only a safe place to go due to his presence here in the woods, those campgrounds were somewhat a memorial. His mother worked and died there, he’d died there..

Jason didn’t want anyone else going anywhere near the lake or the cabins.

But that didn’t mean he couldn’t take Gage there to have a look around. What could it hurt?

He walked outside and led the toddler toward the lake.

Gage had no idea why Jason was now pointing to the broken window behind him, so he looked into the tall one’s memories for a moment. It wasn’t easy because the brain matter was either not there or it was injured, burnt or decayed. He caught small glimpses of some place that seemed like it’d be nearby and he got the feeling that Jason did not like it when humans trespassed onto the grounds. However, it looked a lot more interesting than this broken down hut in the woods.

He stood up, the two cars still clutched into his little hands. 

“Oh! Let’s go there! Can we? Please?”
