how about any set of characters you want in the vampire au with an mc who simply won't believe they're vampires? whether they're deliberately in denial to cope or are just incredibly dense is up to you, but i just want to see how this turns out lol

“See? I literally have fangs.”

“Yeah, sure, your cosplay is great, Idia.” You roll your eyes. They really thought you were that gullible.

“Normally, I would hate to be lumped in with him in any capacity, but Idia is telling the truth. We are vampires,” Vil says, “And we’ve been telling you this for months. Are you really this stupid?”

“Fine, let me have a look.” You turn to the person closest to you, in this case Rook, and stare pointedly at his mouth until he opens his jaw. Hand on his chin, your curiosity gets the better of you and you reach in to stroke a thumb over his sharp teeth. “Ouch, Rook!” You glare at him. The force of the bite wasn’t that hard, but the sharpness made up for it. “Bad boy.” You flick his head.

“Désolé.” Rook apologizes, not looking very sorry. “The vampire instinct to bite is quite hard to control. Especially when being prodded by curious fingers.”

“You’ve experienced a vampire bite now,” Vil says, exasperated. “What more proof do you need?”

“One, it’s Rook so it doesn’t count. Can you really say he wouldn’t have bitten me even if he wasn’t a vampire? Two, I still think you guys are just really into roleplaying. I, too, could sharpen my teeth and become a ‘vampire’ if I wanted to. Talk to me when you can actually do something cool like shimmer in the sun.” Vil looks especially peeved at your air quotes.

“Whatever, we’re done trying to convince you. Don’t believe us if you don’t want to.” Vil leaves the room, presumably to meditate after all the stress you’ve put him through has started to affect his skin.

“I would be happy to, how did you put it, ‘roleplay’ again with you sometime, ma chérie.” You glare extra hard at Rook’s cheeky remark. He only smiles in return, following Vil out of the room.

With only you and Idia left, you finally turn back to him. “So which anime got you into larping as a vampire? Please don’t tell me it was vampire knight. Hey, there’s no shame. I was once really into werewolf roleplay, if it makes you feel better.”

Idia refuses to dignify your question with a response, turning on the music of his favourite idol group to drown out the sound of your voice.

I can't really put it together coherently, but I've been thinking about reincarnation in the vampire AU where you knew one of the guys in a past life and years later they find you again or something abdghsbe

I feel like Malleus would work best for it but I may be biased lol. Or maybe Leona taking a while to figure out why your personality feels so familiar only to realise when, idk, Cater or someone is gushing about the romance of a reincarnation plot in a trendy book/movie lol.

Immortal Vampire!Malleus who’s forced to find his mortal lover every time they get reincarnated.

Sometimes it takes hundreds of years for him to find you again, but he always does. You’ve told him he doesn’t need to wait for you, but he refuses to consider the thought of being with anyone else while he waits to find you again. You don’t have your old memories - not exactly - but even so, you feel a natural pull towards him.

Malleus prefers not to tell you that you were lovers in your past life. No matter what happened in the past, he doesn’t want you to feel stuck with him just because of your history. Inevitably, as fate goes, you fall for him time and time again.

You can’t help but believe him entirely when he tells you about your past together, and you happily wish to spend the rest of your life (and all your future ones) with him.

Immortal Vampire!Leona who’s become increasingly apathetic and bitter ever since his mortal lover’s death.

With you, Leona had finally started to care about something again, to find purpose in his life. All of that disappears once you’re gone, and Leona is angry about it. He’s frustrated with himself for falling in love with a human, he’s angry at the world for making you mortal.

A couple hundred years after your death, a new resident is invited to the mansion. Leona is annoyed by them at first, ignoring their presence entirely. But, just like you had before, this new person doesn’t give up and, despite his best efforts, gets him to start to open up again.

He’s noticed the similarities between you and them, but he believes he’s just projecting until he’s forced to listen to another one of Cater’s rambles about a reincarnation romance drama that he’d just seen. It makes him pause - would it truly be possible that fate had brought you two together again?

Leona doesn’t want to allow himself to believe it’s true, but he can’t help his hopefulness. When he asks for Lilia’s help, he’s able to restore some of your old memories, and Leona silently vows to find you forever; that becomes his new purpose.

this is one of my favorite things to see included in fics and art. I wish there were more.

I need. Twisted Beastmen and the like. To be more animalistic. Not necessarily like, physically, I don't meant that in the furry sense. I mean that in the 'they're part animal and it'd not just for show' sense.

I want beastmen with claw like nails. Where the cat-like ones tend to walk on their toes when not wearing shoes because it feels right. Where their eyes and pupils reflect the animals that they're partly of. With fangs and teeth appropriate for their species.

Ruggie making laughing noises at the active prospect of food. Whooping when in a fight and needing backup. Lowing when excited for a fight.

Leona roaring to get the whole dorm's attention. Chuffing in greeting at people he considers part of his pride. (He'll sometimes grunt at Cheka like a mother would to her cubs but will deny it.)

Jack barking at danger to warn others and howling to try and figure out where his pack is (he forgets they can't howl back, but Ruggie will sometimes low at him and Yuu definitely tries to howl back.)

I want to see Azul with the tips of his limbs in human form retain some of his octopus natural ability to camouflage. I want to see his hands always moving, grabbing something, holding something. Azul who might not have bones in human form with how flexible he is??

The tweels who aren't very active naturally during the day but get really hyperactive at night. Who bare their teeth at people when excited.

Che'nya who lounges in the sun on lazy days. Who's great at stretching and popping everywhere in his body if he needs to, to a concerning degree.

GIMME FEY WHO DONT ACT HUMAN

Malleus who snorts smoke when he's angry. Malleus who wear gloves because he got claws. Malleus who has a tail and wings outside of his dragon form sometimes.

Lilia who gets just a bit too excited at the prospect of a fight and spilling blood. Who can recognize a person by the smell of their blood. Who makes inhuman noises when too excited and gives off a very eldritch horror kind of vibe if he lets loose.

Sebek who can be found eating rocks sometimes. Who finds quiet in thunder and lightning. Who can move so smoothly and silently you don't know he's there until he opens his maw. Who has a lot of really sharp teeth for someone with a human mouth.

Just- gimme some animal, like, REALISM. PLEASE.

Woke up with the funniest flirting line in my head today for Lilia (well, funny to me at least) 😂😂

Imagine you are flirting with Lilia one day:

“You have back pain and I have back pain. We should be together.”

Lilia pauses, eyes widening slightly, before bursting into laughter.

Sebek is just shaking you because his inner romantic is dying at the line you used. Silver is trying to stop him.

Malleus looks amused before asking, “Did it work?”

Lilia smirks, “A little bit.”

Messy design notes:

I have mixed feelings over his design. On one hand, the outfit itself looks cool... and on the other hand it turned out to be nothing like what I had envisioned in the beggining 😭 I wanted to stick with muted colors, in the vibes of that pic next to howleen's I guess, but it's like Ruggie's design had a mind of its own, and would always lean to more punk-looking no matter how hard I tried to avoid it, which don't get me wrong- punk style does fit him well, the problem is that I had it reserved for another character already, and I wanted to repeat themes as little as possible between entries of this project.. that just may be my perfectionist side speaking though, and there is no reason why I shouldn't post this version here for the time being! If I don't get tired of working on this series by the time I finish all the main cast's designs, then I suppose I could try to make an alternative version of Ruggie with a slightly different theme! I'd do the same with Jamil's entry since he is yet another character I have mixed feelings about the design lol

Aaaanyway, the mood for chupacabra Ruggie is grunge/thrifted fashion with diy details he would add to make his looks feel unique to him I think? The spikes on his skin, although he can partially control (?) them, still get stuck on cloth every now and then. Nearly all items of his closet are a bit torn from it, but he doesn't mind all that much. I got no particular designs for the pins and badges he wears, maybe except for the brazilian flag and the trans pin which I rlly wanted to include somewhere on his clothes whsdbdshewbdi

The chupacabra's appearance vary from place to place, but for this, I based his looks on how I personally grew up hearing and imagining this creature to be like! Baisically a fucked up looking dog, sometimes with spikes and scales on its body? Yeah 👍

And he remains the same personality-wise in the AU, pretty much! At the moment I can't think of many fun facts or character quirks for him, aside from how impossible it is to take a selfie with him, much to Cater's dismay. He swears he doesn't do it on purpose! The moment the camera clicks his body moves on its own to be out of frame. Ruggie's entire instagram (or whatever the monster high equivalent of that may be) account are either pictures of a moving blur or a vaguely distinguishable sillouette of him, taken from far away and zoomed in 10x

And the electrified pool incident continues (ik electric eels are of fresh water and not the ocean, but I already drew it. So. I have no canonical explanation for that I did it for the joke)

Taking a second look I'm starting to think their outfits are too simple, but first and foremost I wanted to do something fun for the looks of their primary features. I took inspiration from Luca (probably one of my favorite movies ever so I couldn't help but reference it here too lol) for the eye catching merform designs! Considering they're canonically sea monsters anyway, I didn't want to just insert their og designs here, so in this au they're more like in between their og merforms and human forms, also with their color pallettes are more similar to what flotsam and jetsam looked like in the little mermaid movie imo I wanted them to essentially wear the same thing despite the contrasting personalities, and technically most of the time they're walking around the school they're simultaneously working for Azul, looking for students to make deals with happens in this universe too (fortunately for them and unfortunatelyfor others), so an outfit more inclined to formal would be ideal to cause a good impression on their business, or as good as they can make it anyway. Nobody can contain Floyd though, if he has to wear an uniform he is going to stylize it.

Keeping it short this time, I don't wanna keep it on my drafts to add more notes later and postpone this more than I already have 💀 if I remember more facts about the AU twins I'll share them later!

Also, I was thinking of making a tag for asks related to this AU and I think I'll name it #.phantom answers to follow the AU theme lol but now I have to edit previous asks to insert this tag so wish me luck
