I figured I should post what I have so far since I’ll be seeing the new film soon and thus confirming the AUness of my little comic. I’ll probably continue this soon, just pulling Rebels characters into the film ‘verse. I love the idea of Jacen and Poe as close childhood friends.

Post Rebels finale doodles. As you can see they are all very Kanera centered (plus my take on older Jacen) Did I ever tell you how much i love Hera?

Quick Jacen doodle - I imagine his mom’s coloring might come through a bit more and spread as he gets older, similar to how vitiligo sometimes does.

Loving the newly released character design art for Jacen both for the little intended details it gives us like his teal eyes and slightly pointy ears, but also because it’s a far better look at his skin tone and what they were thinking in creating it.

So here’s our sweet broccoli boy:

It looks pretty clear that Jacen’s primary skin tone is a blend of Cham’s orange with Kanan’s more ruddy tones, then they added the splotches of Hera’s light green on his ears.

I know I haven’t done any Star Wars Rebels art in a while, but here’s a warmup I did this morning of Hera and Jacen Syndulla. I still have a lot of problems with the SWR finale, but I’m glad Hera had Jacen in midst of losing everyone else. <3
