art reposter alert!
I’ve been going back and forth about posting this in the past couple of months. I don’t want to start drama and I think call out posts are silly, but this has gone on for far too long for me to not say anything.
@/guardian-of-fun-times has been reposting art, edits, and headcanons since almost the beginning of their account. Recently they’ve been using AI, for both art and writing. They make posts about how stealing art is bad and using ai is bad but then do that exact thing.
stolen art/ other fan content + their original for comparison. Strange how slapping a filter makes it “theirs” now. And the switching platforms to not get caught too. These are across tumblr and animo.

AI art + the attempt to look like they don’t like AI (despite using it immediately after saying they don’t like it)

And their behavior about other people is rude and disrespectful. Their one-sided beef with a long gone cosplayer (frostplay) is strange. Frostplay hasn’t been on the internet for years now, and most of their content is gone. Despite that, guardian-of-fun-times has made callout posts for them being “toxic” and, quite frankly, it’s weird. They are not on the internet anymore. That’s not beating a dead horse, that’s digging up its bones and trying to fight it. One of the claims they made against this long gone cosplayer is that they steal art, which is funny, considering everything above. Also, since they’ve became the mod for the subreddit for rotg, they’ve been on a power trip if anyone posts something even similar to what they’ve posted and leaving the subreddit alone so trolls can get it and cause trouble.

Like only one person can post the mass produced merch that this movie had.
please block guardian-of-fun-times and warn other people about this. This has gone on for far too long.

🚨This is my story 😥 Save the family of engineer Nariman Muhammad.
One morning, on October 7, 2023, we suddenly woke up to the sounds of rockets and artillery. We quickly ran, wondering what had happened and what was going on. At that moment, we didn't know or understand anything. I took my wife, my sons, and my daughters, and we left the house—the house that I had built brick by brick and spent my whole life working to create. We left with only the clothes we were wearing, without taking any of our personal belongings. The most important thing in that moment was to save ourselves from the death that surrounded us from every side. We moved away a little, searching for a safe place.
We moved away from our home, which was completely destroyed, reduced to rubble, and buried under the debris. All of our belongings, our possessions, even our memories were gone. We never returned to our home.
Since that day, we have been displaced, moving from one place to another in search of safety. Now, we live in a tent that doesn't protect me from the summer heat or the winter cold. It's extremely difficult to find food and drink because they are scarce, and we don't have the money to buy them at high prices. We also struggle to get clean water, and we have no clothes, no shoes, and no medicine. We are deprived of the basics of life and the simplest necessities.
We lost everything—our home, our jobs, everything. We can't even sleep because of the constant shelling that never stops, falling on our heads.
Our lives have truly been destroyed, without us committing any wrongdoing, and we have no connection to what happened. We are not a party in this conflict.
It is the evil people who start wars, and the innocent who pay the price. 😥
I am. Thank you from here forever and from all my heart❤️ for reaching our goal 🙏
Whatever your donation, even the price of the cup of coffee you drink, will contribute to saving a human life.🤝

What Strength Really Means 💪
✅️ Vetted by @gazavetters {537} ✅️
Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed. I don’t usually talk much about myself, but today, I want to share a little piece of my story.

I was born and raised in Gaza, a place that has always been my home 🏡. I grew up surrounded by my family, my friends, and the streets that I knew like the back of my hand. Life wasn’t always easy, but we had love, laughter, and dreams. I used to think that no matter what happened, home would always be here. But life has a way of changing things in ways we never expect.
Over the past months, everything I once knew has disappeared. The streets that were once filled with children playing are now silent. The houses that held so many memories are now just rubble. And the people I loved—some of them are gone forever. 💔

Oh definitely. I can think of several examples in a thousand other fandoms as well that just boggles my mind completely.
With rotg, i feel like it completely ignores what the integral themes and concepts the movie talks about in favor of a lack of complexity or attraction/projection towards a character and that’s what makes it frustrating for me, because it just isn’t what the movie is saying or is about at all. And it’s everywhere, so I cannot avoid it because the fanfic authors/fan artists/analysis will always have some sort of problem with this rather than breaking down the themes and morals of the movie and building on it.
this may be just me but l honestly do not get the whole "the guardians are abusers who abandoned Jack and hurt pitch and also Pitch did nothing wrong" fanon that is so prevalent. There's genuinely nothing in the script, narrative, themes, ANYTHING that hint at anything like that. It completely changes everyone's characters and undermines the actual themes and messages of this story.
First off, Pitch wanted world domination NOT BALANCE. Miss me with that fear is necessary bs: that’s not what this movie is about. Rotg is about morality and the difference between selfishness/selflessness. Pitch is the wrong choice not because he is fear but because he is selfish and likes to hurt people. Rotg illustrates this point again and again by comparing Jack and pitch and showing how Jack chooses to make people happy and puts others first and is selfless. It’s what Jack learns in the movie. The Guardians have reasons to not like Pitch: he murdered and stole and kidnapped. He blackmailed Jack, tried to kill a child… for control of the world. Any emotion he displayed in the Antarctica scene was mostly a farce to get Jack to sympathize with him (although I do believe that he was being genuine about wanting a family, but he wasn’t thinking about Jack at all in that scene and got there through insincere means). He didn’t care about Jack before Jack showed potential in raw power.
Secondly, the Guardians did nothing wrong. They were strangers to Jack. Strangers. They had no obligation to him and he had no obligation to them. Jack could’ve left anytime but DIDN’T until he was fully in the situation, had chosen a side, and was the only thing stopping Pitch. That’s why the Easter Destroyed scene is like that. That’s why the movie, not just the characters, acts like Jack betrayed the Guardians. He was in too deep in this to walk away! When he broke that bed it was a choice to not go back! They made the story work that way on purpose by having him make the decision to BREAK it and jump in the dark. It was his choice to go under the bed and not help the Mini-fairies or just go back to the Guardians when he knew he didn’t have the time to stray. That was his betrayal, but Pitch made it seem worse by making the Guardians think that Jack traded Baby Tooth for his memories. Sure Jack was lead away and tricked, but he still followed a familiar voice despite knowing that he shouldn’t follow it. Sure he didn't maliciously betray them but like goddamn that's literally going into the Evil Villain Layer™ and being surprised that there's Evil there. The point of these scenes is that Jack was selfish and reckless and had to learn to do better.
Not that the guardians are evil and pitch is the actual good guy. Why are we genuinely acting like the guardians did anything wrong but be kinda mean to Main Character when literally Dying. Why are we acting like they are abusive and not the guy who murdered someone to get more power.
#I swear if I have to read one more fanfic where the guardians apologize to jack for abandoning him for 300 yrs I will throw something#same w/ being like ‘fear is necessary!!’ Pitch wouldn’t argue that fear is necessary. He’d argue that it’s the only things kids should have

okay this again but why isn’t the fandom wiki updated to the books? It still says Jack is 14 in the books (he isn’t which makes it confusing. He wasn’t in the books until 2018. why did it even say that in the first place?) and outdated characters bios. they don’t even have a wiki for twinetender, which makes everyone believe the staff is just named that (like excalibur) instead of twiner actually being his own character. Why does it still list Shadowbent and Jack as frenemies even though they are good friends in the books? The majority of fandom uses the fandom wiki as a source but it isn’t a very good one because they don’t even have any current and accurate information about the books and no one likes to read apparently. the fandom wiki gets vandalized and gets stuff wrong all the time and we just agree to read the books and stop spreading misinformation about a book series you can read in a weekend just so you can argue about ships?
Also, why are we acting like the books came before the movie? the movie started production in 2008. it takes 4-5 years for an animated movie to be made. why are we acting like a book released in 2011 is the source material? If rotg has a ‘source material’, it’s the 2005 short film ‘the man on the moon’ not a book that came out eight days before the movie premiered. Can we stop acting like Jack’s character in the books trumps his movie character just because you have the incorrect assumption that he was in the books before the movie? None of the books are relevant when talking about the movie, especially after the fifth book killed off the main antagonist nearly eighty years before the movie takes place and was released six years after the movie came out.
genuinely why is there so much misinformation about the guardians of childhood book series?
#Still angry over people yelling at me for shipping fairy frost like that isn’t more canon than what they claim the books are like#“erm actually Jack’s a minor in the books and they aged him up to ship him with tooth”#loud incorrect buzzer. The opposite is true. They aged Jack down. That man was a father in the original idea.#Also he’s not even a minor in the books. He’s dating a 20 something year old. What are you talking about? Who gave you this idea?#‘Erm actually Jack’s real girlfriend is katherine’#You are commenting a plot point of a book released in 2018 on a post about a 2012 film. Get your act together.

Currently crying about the fact that we never got to see Jack and Tooth’s adorable, tooth-rotting relationship in its full potential because of the lack of sequel.
