I want to share specifically the second half of this posts. As someone engaged in fandom and is hoping as an artist to expand their own fictional world someday, I think it contains useful advice worth sharing around.

Want to emphasize I got no beef with the orginal ask, and neither should any of you. It's just as someone in fandoms with a lot of speculation and fanwork, this feels like a good reminder/ wake up call that there is a line between fandom and the author's intent.

A winter showdown of mega Pokemon. You're gonna have to take my word on this, that Garchomp was a mega when I faced it in a raid battle. I just didn't feel up to wasting the energy for like 5 minutes of photos.

Got the inspiration to do a Mario Kart themed drawing while watching a stream. So here's the result of those efforts. Details of the drawing below the line break.

I have yet to pick up the Switch 2, let alone Mario World. But the reasons why is another story I rather not get into now.

However, because it's the "in" Nintendo game, of course everyone is streaming it to Youtube and Twitch. The fact that I already watch those streamers regularly is the main reason I decided to draw anything Mario Kart related in the first place.

These are the characters the streamers that inspired me used. Or at least couple of the ones they rotate between throughout the stream. They were going through characters so quickly that I'm pretty sure these two weren't on screen at the same time. But I can confirm they are characters these specific people used on the stream at at least one point.

With them both being winter themed, that basically was the inspiration to go for a snowy winter cliffside. Though with way I did the sky, I guess it could also be interpreted as a very starry night. Both interpretations work, so I'm not too worried about it.

If you're already familiar with the streams you might be able to guess who stream this was inspired by from the icons on the cart. But I'm not going to draw attention to that detail beyond that.
