okay another update:

shelters often have volunteer programs, right? Do any of y’all do that? Just going to spend time with them or help out to be around the sweet babes?

I’m trying to find ways to be more active in my own life because I’m really fucking passive with everything unless it’s a High Week, and it’s like. I don’t think a pet would Fix Me, but I think being around animals more would open me back up to empathy and just, like. Fucking compassion, y’know?
