This makes me really annoyed this is just trauma Olympics. Divorces can be traumatizing there’s like entire books to try and help children accept that their parents are getting a divorce. If you’re a young child that is just gonna mess you up to a certain degree.
Also not a funny post-
“my trauma made me funny” and the trauma in question is their upper middle class parents getting an amicable divorce. and they’re not funny

Don’t forget to tag it “30 Day OTP AU Challenge” so you can keep track, and enjoy!

Paternity - Mad Father/Dead by Daylight Crossover fanfic
Trigger warning for mentions of violence and implied death
Aya looked over the mansion from a distance, watching as the home she had lived in her entire life slowly burned until nothing would remain. Fire danced, and the crackling of flames could be heard from what felt like miles away. Embers flew into the air, and she could swear she saw the faint visions of spirits flying up into the heavens alongside the smoke. She wondered if her mother was there with them.
“Mistress?” Maria spoke, standing next to her. Aya turned to face her. She looked concerned, and she had every right to be. She had murdered her father, and they had watched a specter set their home ablaze. There was nothing for them now. “We should leave, before this fire gets any worse.”
“Right,” she said with a nod, looking down at the rabbit sitting quietly on the ground next to her. She reached down and stroked its head. “Come on, Snowball. We have to go.”
The rabbit let out a chirp and looked up at his owner, tilting his head for a moment before bouncing down the forest path, as if knowing the way out, to a place that they could call home. Aya wasn’t so optimistic.
“Where will we go, Maria?” Aya asked with a frown, taking in the burning home for the last time. “Where will we live?”
“I don’t know, mistress, but…anything is better than here, I would say.”
Aya nodded, reaching out to take Maria's hand as the former maid guided her through the forest. Neither were ready to start a new life, but the spirits gave them no choice. They needed to do this.
---
“Well, this is hardly a place I would spend my last moments.” Walking through the burning mansion, unbothered by the flames, was Mr. Onigawara. He stepped through a blazing doorway, into the fake chapel that Alfred had made himself. A strange place, but for a mere human, a fitting one to die in. He looked at the man leaning against the podium, and grinned.
Alfred had seen better days. His hair disheveled, glasses broken and clothes torn, he already looked like he’d been through hell. The knives sticking out of his chest were more or less a mercy killing, the end of a rambling lunatic who couldn’t serve as a proper father. Thankfully for him, his story was too interesting to end here. Though Onigawara couldn’t bring him to life and make him realize his full potential, he knew of a person who could. An Entity that could, at least.
He’d been looking to acquire some more power, anyways. A well placed deal, a worthy offering, and just maybe he could acquire it.
Onigawara raised his hand, and a bottle appeared. A healing tonic, one that would heal any wounds. He walked closer to the Drevis patriarch as the flames built up around them. If the fire advanced any further, no human would be able to survive. Alfred would have to wake up soon to make use of his second chance at life.
“Move with haste, Alfred,” he said with an amused tone, pulling the knives out of his chest with little ceremony before pouring the tonic into the gaping holes in his body. “The powers that be have decided it’s not your time.”
The wounds slowly mended, and new life would be pushed into Alfred’s body, forcing him back from the brink of death. The scientist took a deep breath, which turned into sputtering as smoke filled his lungs. His eyes shot open just as Onigawara disappeared. He found himself in a burning mansion, an aching in his chest and a chainsaw at his side.
“What…I…what happened?” He stood up on shaky legs and took in the flaming surroundings. It was unbelievably hot, and he couldn’t stand in here for much longer. He winced, running to the chapel exit as the heat threatened to overtake him. As he moved, memories started flooding back. Monika, Maria…Aya.
“Aya.” The realization hit him like a knife in the heart, a sensation he was now quite intimate with. He had a plan for her, and that maid ruined it all. He knew she would get in the way. He thought he had killed her, but she proved him wrong out of spite, and now his dear Aya grows older by the minute, less and less perfect. He couldn’t have that. He wouldn’t have that. “Aya!”
He ran through the burning wreck that was once his home. His broken glasses meant everything was turned into a flaming blur, unable to focus on anything concrete. He revved his chainsaw as he moved, using it to cut through any flaming piles of junk that came his way. Parts of the mansion were made only of wood, so they were cut through easily. Others, he had to brute force his way through; press his body against piping hot steel doors or use his chainsaw blade as a lever to upend rubble. All was done in a manic haze to once again capture his daughter.
Eventually, Alfred ran outside of the burning mansion, and he tripped almost immediately. He fell onto one knee, almost toppling over his chainsaw. He took a moment to catch his breath, feeling the burning sensation all across his body. It stung like hell, and his lungs felt like they were going to collapse from the smoke and heat.
Alred looked up into the night sky, and watched as the smoke circled around him, condensing, becoming something more than a smoke. No, it became a thick fog, obscuring his vision further. He didn’t know where Aya could have gone, but he knew she was out there somewhere, living an imperfect life. The thought set ablaze a fire within him rivaling that which was ravaging his home.
“Aya…” He said once more, before running into the fog, chainsaw raised. He didn’t know the direction he was going, but something told him that it would take him to her. Take him to Aya. There, he would be united with his daughter.
---
Within the fog, Alfred found a new life. He had to tend to his burns, which left him more than a little scarred. It was nothing that bandages couldn’t cover, of course. He was not seeking to make himself beautiful, only his daughter, who he was still having trouble finding, even though he searched the fog day in and day out.
It wasn’t that he was finding nothing, though. He was finding plenty, mostly memorabillia. A dead mandrake here, a broken test tube there, even the remnants of some of his dolls, if not the dolls themselves. Though, unlike the day his wife came back to life, most of his dolls had been stripped of their life entirely. He could have sworn he saw a few smaller ones moving around in the fog, but he was never able to chase after them in time. They looked much better when they were dead.
The most interesting thing he was able to find, though, was his home. It wasn’t an exact replica, he noticed. He had lived in his home long enough to tell when someone was trying to poorly replicate it. There was junk spewed about, and the interior of the home constantly changed, forming loops around the mansion and twists and turns that were not part of the original floorplan. Still, it would be his home in the fog while he searched for Aya.
There were monsters outside, too. Unlike anything he’d ever seen before. Some were downright abominations, nothing resembling an animal Alfred had seen in his life. Other inhabitants of the fog were…humanoids. At least, most resembled humans, some animals. They never spoke to him, and he never spoke to them. He had half a mind to try and kill them, to make them at least partially better than how they looked now,  but a voice in his head told him not to do it.
That voice in his head was a pain. It was a powerful, manipulative voice. It was like there was something else living in his head, trying to dictate his actions. He wouldn't succumb to it, though. He was a father with a daughter to find; there was not a more just cause on this earth. It was a path he could not be strayed from. Trying to ignore the voices in his head, the visions that flashed through his mind, the constant demands to sacrifice, he would stay in his mansion, mulling over maps that he had drawn to try and make sense of the Fog. Wherever he was…it wasn’t on earth anymore. Maybe this was where his wife had wanted to drag him that fateful night…
He was deep in thought when he heard a sound from upstairs, the sound of the front door of the mansion opening. He perked up, and his eyes widened. In his mind, there was no other option. That must have been her, it must have been Aya! Homesick, she went to this mansion in the fog! It was a poor recreation of their home, but it was their home nonetheless. Ecstatic at this discovery, he reached for his chainsaw, and rushed to the upper floors.
---
The giant mansion in the fog was unnerving, and Claudette didn’t want to go inside, but she knew it was the only way to get to a place mildly safer than outside. At least in this mansion, she wouldn’t have to worry about being assaulted with a hatchet from who knows where. Trying to open and close the doors as gently as possible, she very clearly failed, and winced at the noise.
She didn’t like the inside of the mansion that much better than the outside, though. The creepy vibes it gave matched the rest of the Entities realm. It matched everything she had been trying to get away from for what felt like years now. She winced, moving to the center of the room, and sitting in a padded chair that was only one piece of a large pile of junk. For a moment, she allowed herself relaxation.
Then, she heard the sounds of footsteps approaching. She gasped, and felt her heart rate spike, hammering in her chest. Standing up immediately, she looked around the foyer of the mansion. There were five separate entry points a killer could come from, and she wasn’t sure where she should focus on. Her eyes darted towards every entrance point, as she tried to think of a plan, of any resources to use to fight back whoever was approaching.
Suddenly, the door on the right of the foyer, opposite of the entrance she was focused on, slammed open. She screamed, spinning around to face the killer. She had never seen this man before, but he looked like a mix of killers she had seen in the fog already. A man in a torn lab coat, with bandages around his body, and a broken pair of glasses. In his hands, he held a chainsaw, and his demeanor was downright disheveled. Less a doctor, more a feral madman. The most stunning part about him, though, were his eyes. Stark white, piercing the darkness of the manor.
Those stark white eyes turned to her, and the man’s face stretched into a horrible grin that sent a shiver down her spine. He took a shaky step towards her, and she scrambled back. “Aya…”
Aya? Did he just call her Aya? Claudette wracked her brain, but knew that there was no one named Aya in the fog, or at least, no one that she had run into yet. She took another step back, as the mad doctor raised his chainsaw into the air.
“Found you!” With sudden speed and a manic laugh, he rushed towards Claudette, leaping over a small pile of garbage. At this speed, he would close the distance between them in seconds.
Claudette turned to run deeper into the mansion, but as she entered an elaborate dining hall, she felt something grab her leg, and she fell to the ground. She cried out in pain, and looked down to see a doll firmly grasping her ankle, looking up at her with piercing eyes. Terrified, she watched as the mad doctor approached, his chainsaw roaring to life as he closed in on his prey.
In the end, there was nothing she could do but scream, and The Father claimed his first victim in the Fog.
