Gotta add another cool tidbit to this already wonderful analysis! The Aunt Eloise House track is a faster major key version of the slow song that plays on the map. So even the most peaceful and relieving song in the game has connections to the overall heavy mood of the game
The subtleties of SCK's soundtrack
In listening to Music for Mysteries and practicing the main theme of SCK (i.e. the one that plays immediately when you start the game), I realized that the soundtrack is a lot more brilliant than its staticky, mono game version implies. As usual, I’ll make my points in bullet form and expound on them. Also, this meta is about SCK1, not SCK2, since I haven’t played the latter:

Wow and Alejandro was sitting there in his office throwing this thing around as a paper airplane
The last line is fun lol. "Accepted this 2th day of the 3th month of the year 2000."
I love how in the contract addendum for this valuable and important historical artifact, along with trivial things like payment timing, loan duration, and insurance liability, they make sure to address the CRITICAL addition of mouse pads merchandising

A fan of the Nancy Drew games, who is also a graphic designer, went through each game and recreated EVERY. GRAPHIC. that they liked.
First of all: holy smokes at the TALENT! Secondly: Wow wow wow to see games summed up like this 😍 I’m getting a blast of nostalgic memories!!

It's safe to say that while the older Nancy Drew games are beautiful, they're not very high resolution. I've made a handful of screenshots edits using a combination of AI upscaling tools, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
The process for this image included finding high quality pngs of appropriate plants for the setting, using close up images of the stained glass windows and signage, upscaling them with AI, then inserting them into the 4K image seen here, changing color tones slightly, and some general touch ups. I also created a high resolution version of the game bar at the bottom, with a detailed marble pattern and high quality textures on the buttons. Enjoy!

Proof that you can emulate a classic ND feeling game in Unity
Hey, friends! Here is an exclusive look of another location you’ll find in Amelia Darnell: Secrets of Silvercrest Village! We don’t want to reveal more just yet, but stay tuned for more locations and puzzles that our programmers have worked so hard on. Thank you for all your support, we appreciate it!

Are you that French communist guy who got anon asks being mean to him? "Now now, that doesn't make sense Jacques"
Uhhhhh, no lol
"Jacques must be gone" is a quote from the game Treasure in the Royal Tower. As a kid, when I'd ask my sisters to play it with me, I'd say "Can we play 'Jacques must be gone?'"

Damn, never caught that he was willing to kill Lillian too. Like if he'd gotten away with his plans, he'd have become a serial killer by making 3 people his victim
I know that it’s supposed to seem like Dwayne is “pretending” to be a crazed fan of Rick’s, but it really just seems like he either a. has a crazy crush on Rick and doesn’t know how to handle it or b. was rejected by Rick and it made him crazy.

Totally agree though, you've got the red and gold with wood accents like the original game menu and the fun little flourishes, but it's modernized without the 90s teal and has a well functioning inventory and notebook. It has a classic feel to it and the skeuomorphism of it all really fits the games as a whole.
You even got some ties to the classic games with some of the games using the letters for closings or openings, and the game credits used teal, tying into the previous UIs 1-3
Also, I know this is a controversial opinion in the Nancy Drew fandom, but I really like the fourth UI aka the “Updated UI” which was in Tomb of the Lost Queen through Sea of Darkness. I love the always present inventory and the expandable task list that moves completed items out of the way. And, I mean, it’s wood grain! What’s not to love??
