if your younger self could see you today, what would they think? how would they feel?

"i think they would be interested to know how i got the scar over my eye. but overall, i think they would be glad that i'm supporting myself and that i didn't ever hit rock bottom. everyone thought they knew what the future held for me and they were all wrong. i think younger me would be proud. and also think i'm pretty badass."

Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?

“deep down? no. no one but myself. i say that i trust my ‘friends’, my 'co-workers’, whatever — but life or death? every person for themself. you can never predict how people will act, if they’ll come through ... but i know me. and who could have my best interests in mind more than myself?”

PAK || 30 || THE FACADE

* firstly, jade pak was not born jade pak. they were born hana lee, but eventually once they began being an informant for the mob in new york city they started going by the alias ‘jade’. now that they’ve been relocated to treeville, they used jade as a first name and are going by their new last name, 'pak’.

* so pak doesn’t have super strong roots anywhere. they grew up in the foster care system in new york city and to be honest they joined a gang kind of early, like probably only 14-15 years old.

* i think that gangs/the mob are the closest thing that pak has ever had to family, and that’s why they go so hard for it and have built their whole life around it.

* their small stature and 'feminine’ appearance made people feel secure, and they were never a suspect when they could blend into the background of any scene and gather info unnoticed.

* they became known as the 'secret weapon’ of the nyc mob scene, and it was such a problem that they actually had to stop doing fieldwork because their face was becoming too recognized.

* so they switched it up a few years ago, when they were in their early-mid twenties, and started learning everything they could about electronic information processing, hacking, spyware technology, and basically became proficient in anything you can think of relating to information gathering, hacking, etc in only a matter of a few years.

* they were recently relocated to treeville all the way from new york city. they’re such an asset with so much information on so many different circles that the FBI was catching on and their friends in the nyc mob sent them to the cali mob with glowing recommendations.

* so now they’re a new person, on the run, posing as a photographer and doing small gigs here and there as a cover while working for intel with the mob.

* LIGHTENING ROUND: pak is a trained streetfighter as well (had to make money somehow while building up cred as an informant), is very uncomfortable with being referred to as ‘either’ gender soooo don’t call them a ‘man’ or ‘woman’ or they’ll get pissy, they actually have two younger siblings that they don’t know exist, they’re pansexual but tbh aren’t that interested in sex unless someone challenges them mentally ---- THEY’RE NEW TO TREEVILLE! 

So give me all the new connections, the by-change meetings, the old friends running into each other! I’m all ears.
