Huge Yellowjackets S3 Finale Spoilers !!

The S1 scene where adult Taissa says to Shauna as they were in the car that they wouldn't be there if it wasn't for Natalie just took a whole new meaning.

Taissa wasn't referring to Natalie hunting enough food for them to survive or working her ass off to keep peace and order while they were in the Wilderness.

She was referring to Natalie actually finding help. Climbing a fucking mountain just to get them out of there.

SPOLERS FOR EP 9 BELOW

Natalie's crying scene is so heartbreaking if you take a moment to think about Natalie's perspective and memories of last winter.

She had to provide food for the group pretty much on her own as Travis was too busy looking for Javi. When there was not enough game, she was blamed for it as she didn't believe in the Wilderness. She was also blamed by Javi's unresponsivess when he came back, and Travis gave her the cold shoulder after finding out she had faked Javi's death with his clothes when Natalie only wanted to bring peace of mind to Travis.

She also was the one to collect Jackie's bones after eating her and disposing of them, which also was a traumatic experience. She found a moose big enough to feed everyone but lost it, which only added to the guilt.

She had to run for her life, barely clothed for wintertime as she tried to get away from the girls. Girls that had been her only family for almost a year. Girls that were her teammates, her friends in some way. And they were hunting her down. But then Javi died in her place. She had to watch him die. And then Travis turned against Natalie again for that.

When the hikers arrived, she saw a sliver of hope of getting out of there. But then that hope is gone, and they're still stuck there. And this time, she doesn't have Coach Ben, who was her biggest support. She's on her own completely.

Natalie knows she is going to either kill or be killed again.

It wouldn't be surprising that she developed (if she hasn't already) chionophobia.

I’ve been frantically searching for a Yellowjackets OC community for weeks and I’m curious about your OCs cough this is probably info already on your blog that I just can’t find, but may I ask what are their faceclaims? And Skylar is one of the characters who’s more against Lottie’s visions (at least in the beginning) right, or do I have that wrong? Apologies if this comes off as nosy or anything I’m going back into the hobbit hole

You're not being nosy, don't worry! Also I love yapping about them so it's okay :]

So far, only Skylar has a faceclaim, and she's Maya Hawke ^^ And, regarding her beliefs, she finds it mostly ridiculous and a desperate attempt at comfort. She doesn't believe in the Wilderness as a deity, nor does she go through with Lottie's pre-hunting rituals. She just thinks it's a waste of time that only complicates things.

As time in the wilderness progresses, though, she finds herself gravitating closer to Lottie's guidance little by little. Does she end up fully believing? That is to be seen.
