Why did Lestat mention Akasha to Louis and Armand if they don’t know who she is? And why did Lestat say that he gave Louis to Armand?

In the context of the tale we saw: because he did not interfere when Louis thought Armand had saved him and therefore "chose" Armand to spite Lestat.

As per Akasha - it is a hint that Lestat knows more than Armand, and has more powerful blood - in the books, Armand pretends to know all there is to know about their kind, which is clearly not the case.

However, I do not buy the tower scene, at all, so... I think it will remain to be seen if it happened like this.

Within the tale it is also a hint for the audience that certain events have happened in the show just as they have happened in the books at that point.

Which... we'll learn about in season 3 :)
