When I’m a parent I’m definitely going to ask my child often “are you okay?” I never want my child to be crying their eyes out when I’m peacefully sleeping under the same roof and I certainly never want them to feel like there’s nobody there for them. Because I always will be

Body myths debunked:
Myth no.1 - When I am skinny, I will like my body: When you accept your body for all its wonderful quirks and imperfections, you will like your body.
Myth no.2 - Losing weight will make me happy: Following your dreams, surrounding yourself with people you love and appreciate and forgiving yourself and others will make you happy.
Myth no.3 - A healthy lifestyle means working out every day and never eating bad food: No food is bad, and a healthy lifestyle is doing what's good for your heart as well as what's good for your body. Even if that means lying in bed all day and eating chocolate sometimes.
Myth no.4 - All thin girls love their bodies: Every person, no matter what they look like, has their insecurities. Embrace your own, and know that you are not alone.
Myth no.5 If I eat x, y or z and follow x, y or z celebrity's workout regime I will look like them: No. No matter how you eat or how long you spend in the gym, you will look like you at whatever weight you are at. You can't replicate another human being's body in your own.
Myth no.6 - It's always unhealthy to have a bmi above 25: BMI scales were invented for the convenience of insurance companies, not as an accurate measure of health. Your healthy weight is determined by your body type, composition, lifestyle and diet, not by a made up chart.
Myth no.7 - If I was smaller, I could wear a bikini and short shorts and strapless dresses: You can wear whatever you like, whether you wear it in a size 0 or a size 14. Your beauty is not defined by the clothes you wear.
Myth no.9 - I can solve my problems using my body: You have to look deeper - your problems do not stem from the circumference of your thighs or the amount of fat on your stomach. They are deeper than that, and the solution lies deeper than that as well.

No spend day!
I'm pretty stoked that I've spent nothing today, well because I had spent a fortune the past few weeks! For my wardrobe, I had been replacing dresses, replenishing basics, getting new shows etc because I'm sick of wearing the same stuff to work everyday. For sports, I will be buying the polar FT 7 tomorrow. It's a long awaited buy.... I had wanted to wait for my friend's safra card so I could nail a 10% discount, but lo and behold, running lab has a 20% storewide sale till 12 October and I'll be able to save even more!!!!! Yayyyyyy! For fitness, I'll be buying some Whey Amplified Protein Powder. I'm a GNC gold member and buying them on public holidays will give me double points, so I'll be jumping on the wagon to get me some protein :) For food, I'll be stocking up on some chia seeds, fruits, frozen spinach etc to start my smoothie experiment. Oh, and October is the birthday month of my mom, boyfriend and roommate. I've already spent a ton on my boyfriend ($300+ for steak at a fancy restaurant!). Not complaining about it though! We've had a really great time and my boy deserves the best xx Still stoked that it's a no-spend day! They're hard to come by, almost like seeing a double rainbow! :P

I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE
You’re working your ass off. You’re running every morning. You’re eating well. You’re eating enough but not too much. You’re busting your ass in every single workout, pushing to your threshold, pouring sweat, but you’re not seeing any results.
Maybe it hasn’t been long enough. Or maybe, just maybe, you’re staring at your abs and not paying attention to your perfectly defined thighs, your beastly biceps, or your seriously sexy back.
One day you’re going to be putting your hair up and notice your biceps bulge in the mirror. You’ll turn around to check out your gnarly sunburn and watch the flex of your triceps and traps. You’ll see a picture of yourself reaching for something and be blown away by the definition in your legs and the cut of your thighs.
You’re working for it and it’s working. Sometimes your body is changing more rapidly than you can shed fat. It’s going to come up and smack you out of nowhere. You’re going to laugh at yourself when you attempt decline pushups with your feet on a bench, then bang out 40 of them without breaking a sweat.
It’s happening even if you can’t see it. Your body is evolving and changing. Give it the respect it deserves. Give it a chance to become visible. You worked for it. Don’t throw that away. You DESERVE to see it.

Sometimes I feel so drained out by my family, when they get together and call me fat and defensive. When will all this bullying stop?
