The summary of the years 2019/2020/2021
Service
At first lets talk about lessons with Pancrat, my previous teammate in the MORDHAU clan, a friend, and an English student. While playing some competitive skirmishes and after, we used to talk about life and exchange our views. This was the time I started learning Russian to understand my teammates more, but I also wanted to know them better. That was when I learned about the quality of English education in Russia, which for me seems really bad. Pancrat is as old as I am, when when I started teaching him, was approximately on A2 level, only acquiring knowledge by playing games and watching some films in English. Pancrat also doesn’t have enough money to afford a proper English course, therefore after I suggested to my teammates that I could teach them English, he reached me on private messages saying, that he wants me to teach him. The hardest challenge in doing so, was the fact that I had to separate my relationship with him, and the teaching, so I would not be too light when it comes to homeworks and classes. During 2019-2021 I taught him for 20 weeks, 1 lesson a week, and in my and PETs opinion his level of English is now approximate to B1, which is a very great achievement.
Second voluntary work I performed during the hard corona times, was the MORDHAU school connecting up to 100 players that want to get better at the game, with professionals who are willing to spread their knowledge. I think this idea is brilliant and I really thank my friends for introducing me to it, as I myself was taught at the beginning of my career and it just feels personal. In that type of complex psychological/mechanical games, proper education to build solid foundations in players is crucial, without the guidance nobody can play up to their potential. Since late 2020 I taught 7 players on how to footwork, position, manipulate swings, and play the “psychological warfare”- the most crucial component of MORDHAU. Unfortunately as it happens to be in that type of games, not all players have the potential to become the absolute best without the great amount of time spent on correcting their own mistakes. Throughout these years I have learned that indeed helping people in achieving what they desire is really satisfying. I honestly believe that every single person in the World should help people who are “less strong”, “less educated”, “less happy”. Eventually we are in power to change other people lives for the better, so why not do it if it costs us a little bit of time?
Third voluntary work for which I was very excited was the Beethoven festival. This year it was pretty challenging, as the organisers had to come up with an idea on how to resolve the COVID issue, and streaming was the most feasible and reliable solution. I really enjoyed the time spent on working with so many professionals in various fields, as they broadened my perspectives regarding my future. It was also very inspiring to see so many artists achieving their dreams, playing at the most skilled level possible. If I were to admit, my dream was to become a professional player in a competitive shooter, that is why I can relate to all these people so well. Being able to perform your dream job, which connects your hobby to earning money, for me is the biggest achievement one can acquire.
Most crucial learning outcomes in that case:
Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
What I learnt about myself is that I really enjoy helping other people in making their desires come true.
Creativity
In 2019 I started playing MORDHAU professionally and it brought me a lot of new friends, expertise, and the ability to adapt to different circumstances, for example how to become good in other games. It was a very long ride which included organising skirmishes, contacting with tournament organisers, almost winning the biggest tournament in the game, and even organising tournaments- full spectrum :D. I think this is what I always wanted to do, and I am glad I spent every second playing this game and all the things associated with it. At some point two new games came out- VALORANT and CALL OF DUTY WARZONE. Both these games are first person shooters and at some point I thought why not prove to myself that I can achieve something more, than just being good in one game, and become semi-professional/professional at these games too. This is still an ongoing project, I totally overestimated my abilities and the amount of time I have and need to spend. I set myself a goal that after I graduate I want to achieve top 500 (be withing the top 500 best players in the scoreboard) in VALORANT and appropriately become really good in CALL OF DUTY WARZONE- it will take me a lot of time and effort, but I think I can make it as already I am within the 1% of the best players.
Most crucial learning outcomes in that case:
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
What I learnt about myself is that I do not put as much effort into things I admire, and expect great results when the commitment does not reflect it.
Activity
I began my journey of exercising on my own by first realizing that I do not enjoy the way my body looks. I weighted around 56 kilograms with 182 cm, which was a bit too little for my taste. So I did some research on the internet and found a website that helps people create training plans with the dietary recommendations. I personalised the plan for my needs and finally started working on myself. During the two intensive months of training 3 times a week for 3 hours, I gained 8 kilograms of muscle mass and significantly improved my physical strength. Then suddenly coronavirus devoured the population and I had to switch to home gym. Unfortunately the more I sat at the home, the less I wanted to workout, therefore after 3 weeks of barely any gains I stopped… After around 2 months of no activity I decided that it cannot be like that anymore and switched to something which allows me to watch films and series during the training, cycling. I bought a training simulator it turned out to be a very good decision. Maybe I did not gain any weight since then, but I most definitely improved my endurance which helped me as an example snowboard more intensively in Switzerland this year.
Most crucial learning outcomes in that case:
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
What I learnt about myself is the fact that it is very hard for me to motivate without the appropriate scenarios and surroundings.

Well what can I say, I am getting better and better but it still is not enough. I started improving more drastically now tho, but will not be able to update you on that anymore, as my CAS is about to finish. This game became my second passion at the moment, so I will definitely keep my promise :). I and my teammates are rather known for always being the unlucky ones, and most of the time we get ambushed by another team while fighting the other one, but we will make it anyways.

Yet again I give you the cumulative update, now the last one, of what was happening during that time with the service. Well as you know Pancrat passed, and our journey ended there, at least formally. But you might be wondering, but what with the MORDHAU academy? Well I give you a cumulative update on that too. I taught 7 people with I bet great results? The overall level of satisfaction made me satisfied of myself and my teaching abilities lol :D

Well the hard truth that I have to admit, is that achieving Radiant in Valorant is a bit too hard for me at the moment. In order to do so, I would have to spend at least three times the time I already spent on the game or something close to that, so I cannot really do that at the moment, although I will try to do it even after the CAS and IB. Few days ago I was convinced by a friend, to play a very well known game with him, that I did not try before: Call of Duty Warzone. As I always liked to challenge myself, I will do it one more time and now set the goal of acquiring a K/D (kill/death) ratio of +2, which places me in the 0.1% of players. Later the goal will rise accordingly, as I would rather want something like +4 to be at the top as I really really enjoy this game, but it is a very long term project, and achieving so might be even harder than Radiant in Valorant. At the moment my kd is somewhere around 1.2 K/D which is pretty bad, but I am just learning the game and I hope it will grow very fast soon.

Due to the winterbreak and the fact that Switzerland did not ban Polish people from arriving to their country without quarantine,my parents, I and our friends went there for skiing. I am more of a snowboard guy, as the only one from the group so it requires a little bit of skill to catch up for the skiiers not gonna lie. Of course before and a bit after I also used my wonderful machine, so everything is how it used to be :D The endurance the trainer gave me paid a huge part in the overall quality of snowboarding this year, so I am very glad I did it.

Here is a little service update as well. Long I did not speak about Pancrat because I did not want to be repetitive and provide no additional information like “Pancrat learns past perfect now, Pancrat blah blah blah”. I will give you an update on the fact that Pancrat was going to take the PET exam in 2 weeks from now, but Corona decided to say “denied” as from the famous meme, so basically I tested him on the B1 level and he indeed passed my exam (meaning previous PET) with flying colours :).

Here is a little update: throughout the November barely anything happened as I was intensively preparing to the SAT examination, therefore this is a cumulative post for the December as well: The results are awesome! In competitive shooters there are several factors that determine your rank and skill: aim, positioning, movement and game knowledge. To acquire these skills some just play the game and naturally improve, but I knew that I need to do something with my aim so I started training it quite a lot, and I saw the results immediately.
Aimtrainer
Current rank: Immortal 1
and I did all that by myself, no premades :)

As you could have already observed I increased the intensity of trainings and also apart from just helping my mates organise basketball matches, I started training with them. I love the endurance that cycling gave me, maybe it will help me survive till the end of IB! (jk)

Soon ago my beloved summertime ended, but with the end of it the beginning of something very important came- the beethoven festival. I volunteered for 2 weeks before the festival itself, and 2 weeks during the festival. Before the festival I was accountable for distributing the invititation letters, and creating the notes regarding the artists on the internet website. During the festival itself I took care of the artists, redirected them into the proper rooms, gave them the timetables and asked for any requests.

Improvement is definitely visible here, although I am not as close to the desired rank as I want to be.

To be fair, the Valorant journey is not going as well as planned, not even close. There are a lot of factors like the change of my keyboard, mouse and other stuff which temporarily impaired my aiming abilities (mostly muscle memory), my crosshair placement is very off, there are seriously a lot of fields in which I will need to improve before reaching the highest rank.

This time I took a trip around Manhattan, as always I am really tired, but at least I watched 1 episode of Mandalorian :D Hard work pays off in long term, at least that is what I've been telling myself for the last months. Current Covid situation is more tolerable with physical activitt, I suggest it to everyone :))

Today with Pancrat we focused on the introduction of yet another tense, present perfect. It was very unnatural to him fir some reason, so we had to start very slowly.

Valorant- competitive fps game was released in beta testing stage two days ago and I finally got my access key. I am looking forward to trying myself in it, and reaching the highest rank if possible. Will keep you updated on that.
