Alex seems to remember Justin throughout the entire movie, but for the purpose of this drawing I believe she has periods of time where she forgot more intensely before remembering some parts. Mostly just because I find the idea of Justin going through the constellations in order to calm himself + her really cute.

♡: They're teenagers when they figure out their feelings, both still in high school but college on the horizon for Justin. In canon, it would be post-movie, when it feels like the universe was telling them that they're meant to be together.

♤: Max knows. He barely batted an eye and would support them no matter what. He's just glad that they're happy and not fighting for once lmao. Harper finds out when they're older. Her reaction was. . . worse and even if she never tells anyone, it takes a long time for her to accept their relationship, if she ever does.

If their parents find out, it would be long after Alex and Justin have moved out and started their life and family together.

◇: Max walked in on them once, probably in the lair because they're horny teenagers who don't know how to be discrete lmao. They can't look him the eyes for WEEKS afterwards.

There's also a lot of close calls with their parents, desperate grabs for pillows and blankets, a few times when one of them has hit the floor because their parents got home early and they threw themselves apart from where they were tangled on the couch.

♧: They both tell people that they aren't interested in dating after a few too many bad breakups. When Justin leaves for college, he describes Alex as his girlfriend to his new friends and she very happily introduces him as her boyfriend in return.

☆: I don't think it would change much at all tbh, just that they'd be less worried about hiding their relationship. Justin would still be a nerdy and overprotective ass, Alex would still enjoy pissing him and making his life more difficult, they would still love each other to the moon and back.

¤: They desperately wish that things were different. That they lived in the magical world, where their relationship would be more accepted, or that they weren't related at all. Eventually, they make the latter almost a reality, moving far away from New York, somewhere where they can introduce themselves as husband and wife and not get a single odd look.

Okay this is an old post of yours but you mentioned Jalex (Justin x Alex) at least once and it sent me down a fanfic rabbit hole and I find it kinda funny that there seemed to be multiple different fic authors who went "actually what if the wizarding world was fine with incest?"

My favorite AUs tbh. I just love socially accepted shipcest, especially if the characters are torn between one world where their relationship is normal and okay and another world where it's not.
