i was in new york for these past few days and, dayum,
what i'd give to have the kind of murals they have for our musicians.
what i'd give to have the mural for oscar & avelino (quite literally, it was right in front of the apartment building we were staying in).
what i'd give to have excellent urban planning.
what i'd give for respect to our culture.

when they have no idea about how it affects us and talking about us as if we're all white-identifying racist assholes
excuse u let's have some context and nuance here i'm so tired of peoples of hispanic descent being treated like a huge monolith

IT DEFAULTS TO “O.”
PLEASE STOP TRYING TO MODIFY THE LANGUAGE OF ANOTHER CULTURE.
IT IS VERY, VERY OUT OF LINE.
LINGUAL GENDER =/= HUMAN GENDER; YOU’RE NOT BEING “PROGRESSIVE” BY TRYING TO MAKE LATIN-BRANCH LANGUAGES “GENDER-NEUTRAL.”
