I think the solution to kids on the Internet is to have specific, kid friendly spaces on the Internet. Kids wouldn't come across "adult content" on YouTube if barbie dot com still had flash games and this is a hill I will die on.

I think that White people, especially White trans people, who want to talk about Black Feminists should actually study the racialized nature of gender. The way that manhood and womanhood are denied and hyperapplied to People of Color and those of racialized ethnicities.

The way that East Asian men are emasculated and denied manhood, the way East Asian women are objectified and hyper sexualized, the way that Black men are hyper sexualized and hyper masculinized, the way Black women are also uniquely hyper sexualized and hyper masculinized, the way that SE Asian men are seen as dirty sexual predators, the way SE Asian women are fetishized and treated as oriental decoration, the way Indigenous men are completely denied manhood and gender as an extension of personhood, the way Indigenous women are stolen and silenced, the way ethnically Jewish men are seen as impotent non-humans, the way Jewish women are treated as monstrous and abrasive, it goes on it goes on.

These are unique positions that people of these demographics experience at the intersections of their races and genders that are not experienced by white gender conformity.

It's like a bare minimum anti-racist feminist understanding of gender and its use as a tool of white supremacy that is required if you are White and are going to start throwing around the names of Black Feminists I think.

1000% correct. and it isn't the userbase being 70% white, it's that they act aggressively disgusted and angry if anyone even mentions blackness and black culture or that racism and white privilege exist. If you so much as insinuate that one white woman posted something racist they will relentlessly dogpile and gangstalk you. Remember that blackout day started by black tumblr desperately BEGGING white people to post/rb black people once a year. But in response, people said "no, black people aren't aesthetic enough for my theme" or "no, you're being too political and black people are too serious a subject to post" but then they would make 1000 posts about how being trans is worse than racism. and if you even mention rap or r&b or hip-hop on here people will lose their damn minds. Every black woman I used to follow was either chased off the site, caved from the constant misogynoirism and hostility, or were so ignored by their "friends" that they left.

Beginner artists I love you. Artists who have wobbly lineart and clashing color palettes and no sense of anatomy and that white line around your fill-bucket coloring, your art is beautiful in a way I cannot express.

Art like yours fills my heart with joy. Keep going. Make your fanart, your complicated OC worlds, anything you want! You've started on an unfamiliar, wonderful journey, and it's gonna be great.

It might be hard sometimes, and you might think your art sucks, but it doesn't suck, and it'll get better. One day you'll look back on these drawings fondly, and be glad you made them. It might take years to get to where you want to be, but art is amazing and delightful and every day is worth it.

Art is beautiful, yours is no exception, and you will grow with time.

Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened
