Wait... Actually yeah that is weird.. I've been thinking about the one-shot as a before the Witchlight carnival kind of thing but if that were the case where did they pick up Torbek? If he wasn't at the carnival that means no Fey torture, so where did the tubes come from? Or is it that they went to the feywild and everything, they just didn't do anything and came back and decided to waste their month setting up the carnivale again? What's the timeline here? Sorry, not really related to the original post D:

On an actually relevant point though, poor guy can't catch a break but at least everything else is looking up for Torbek after death... And the Other seems to be on better terms with Torbek? Obviously not happy with the situation but not too hateful towards him

also it's crazy that torbek is canonically a werewolf in crooked moon because the implications of that for ouaw. it's not the beast that is violent and cruel, but the man. yet the beast is hunted and ridiculed and the man hides inside the beast, safe.

I find it interesting how in the crooked moon oneshot, the ouaw characters that got the power of flight included the one most grounded of them all and the one who has shackles weighing him down literally and figuratively. There's something to dissect there but I can't think of it yet.

When Gid tried to light Kremy’s cigarette it got me thinking about how absolutely horrifying it must be to have parts of you that have always been there and that you had assumed would always be there suddenly stripped away. Not only for you but the people around you. Like imagine Kremy huddling up to Gid expecting warmth like hes always known but being met with cold stone. Imagine having your native language that has always come so easy to you fading from your mind and sounding completely alien to your ears. Frost has always had a tail but since hes no longer a cat it must be gone. Thatd be like suddenly losing a limb. Kremy becoming like a skeleton must be extremely disturbing especially considering all the different visions the crew has had of their friends dying or rotting away. There are probably a million other horrifying differences caused by their sudden transformation and if I think of anymore I’ll add them but I just think it’d be unbelievably unsettling
