so tumblr suspended me in mid-december for having saved urls, and even though i fixed the problem right away they didn’t reinstate my blog until... today.

but it’s back now! of course in the meantime i made a new blog over at @pop-tart and i’ll probably mostly stay on that one, but at least this is up as an archive if nothing else :)

When I started doing this capping thing back in March, my inspiration for these “James smoking” posts was partly a comment on LJ. Somebody said something about James smoking a lot in Fearful Symmetry, and I got curious. They were right: We see him smoking three times in Fearful Symmetry and in Intelligent Design (and in the two-part version of Down Among the Fearful), which is the most he ever does. Also, he smokes twice as often in series six (8 times) than in series four (once per episode), for example. 41 (42) times altogether, which is actually less than I expected. This is probably because James happens to be smoking in quite a few of my favourite scenes and because Laurence Fox happens to look ridiculously hot doing things that involve his fingers, lips and teeth - aka my other source of inspiration.
