Well, consider that Australia basically has just one internet pipeline through southeast Asia, and then all around is ocean. A couple Warcraft guildies playing from Australia blamed that for their spiky connections.

Someone I follow on twitter has been complaining about their super slow internet for a few weeks and I was like ‘yeah girl, I know the feeling, our internet sucks too’

But she just posted a picture of her ‘crappy’ internet speed and it’s literally more than 30 times faster than our speed on a good day.  And her now ‘fixed’ speed is more than 400 times faster.  I didn’t even know internet could go that fast??  Australian internet is apparently just that terrible.

Time to pack up already?

It seems as if I only just arrived on Tumblr, but I guess it’s time to find another network.

It’s a shame, really. It seemed like a really nice, safe place, made by and for the people who needed it most. But I guess we’ll just need to make it again someplace else, then rebuild it when that goes down too.

So is Moebius/Jean Giraud totally a huge influence on you? I see a lot of times when you use an isometric projection instead of drawing a scene in realistic perspective, which is a technique he used, and plus a lot of the busy crowd scenes remind me of the way Moebius liked to draw crowds. Anyways, huge ups if you were drawing on his work.

Stella Deus: an... okay tactical RPG. The box art had a pretty generic group shot, but the inverse had a much more artistic illustration of Lumena in prayer. I flipped it around and never looked back.

And I just couldn’t tolerate my copies of Guns of the Patriots and The Phantom Pain, so I went and made some new ones myself. Goodbye scowling old men, hello bold Shinkawa drawings.

Why does this matter at all. Y’all act like this is an actual big deal.

I would happily provide @magnumpicactus with a more “government issue” black text on white background if it’s really not that big of a deal.

ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO OWN ANY PHYSICAL COPIES OF ANY RECENT VIDEO GAMES

Ever look at the cover art of your case and think “wow this looks super generic and uninspired”?

I’ll use Doom as an examlpe:

FANTASTIC game. SHITTY cover art. Looks like a cod clone.

A lot of games suffer from this,

HOWEVER

recently I’ve noticed that many games have a little secret inside the box…

You see, on the inside, when you open the case, some of these titles will have an alternate box art!

Simply open the case, *carefully* pull out the paper…

And on the other side…

Now doesn’t that look like a much better representation of what playing DOOM is like!?!? The best part is theres no mountain of text on the back, the art just keeps going!

Other examples include Final Fantasy XV, The Last of Us, The Evil Within, Fallout 4, etc.

Not all of my games had this, but the ones that did had such cool art. I love the lack of “advertising text” on the back. Some of the alternate box art just paints a scene from the game so well you dont even need the title to know what it is.

Reblog to save a life! You might have some badass alternate box art in your games and you just never knew it :D
