Initially confused and a bit irritated when Apple assumed I would enjoy this random throwback after my (mostly Hozier) Good Omens Breakup Playlist finished. But ok fine I’m a bit teary now 😭.

Contemplating how Neil will bring back the “Crowley + Aziraphale = incredibly powerful miracles” theme in S3. They only performed a tiny insignificant half miracle each on Gabriel, I bet they could save the world if they tried hard and miracled together. While holding hands 🤝 or smoooching!

And I’m beading a Crowley wing (Aziraphale is next!).

Similarly to my previous post, I took a beginner needlepoint class and made a Good Omens bookmark! The pattern is not mine (provided by instructor), but I feel good about my colour choices, and I braided some leather cord and added a chain tassel :)

I made a Crowley heart ♥️. I took an Intro to Beading class that was Valentine’s themed, and I’m stuck in a good omens fixation. I started with a Victorian picture button of singing birds (approx 1860s), and some beigey bronze and yellow beads as a nod to Aziraphale. I tried to go for a snakeskin effect on one side, along with a steel grey edge like his scarf. I kept thinking I was done, but it finally clicked that I needed to add a little red crystal forked tongue 🐍. It’s maybe a bit extra, if not tacky, and I have no clue what I’ll do with this, but my next beading project will be WINGS and I’m so excited!

Season 3 opening scene #11: Muriel is giving Crowley a manicure 💅

Muriel: “So what is it like to be demon? Does it hurt? Is hell really the terrifying burning pit of misery that they say it is?”

Crowley: [glancing at Aziraphale’s empty chair] “There are things that hurt more. And more terrifying miseries than even hell can create.”

Season 3 opening scene #10: Crowley’s drinking whisky at the Dirty Donkey. He senses a sudden change (like when Adam named his Dog). He looks up and sniffs the air. Even over the 6 shots of Talisker in his glass, he can smell Aziraphale. With a hint of the new cologne his barber recommended. It’s a signal. Aziraphale is in trouble. Rushing to the bookshop, Crowley demands Muriel take him to heaven. Muriel sets down the cupperty cozy they’re knitting, sighs deeply, and complies.

Season 3 opening scene #9: Crowley and Muriel have learned to knit, and are attending the weekly knitting circle at the shop around the corner. Crowley’s yellow basket is filled with scarves, hats, slippers and socks in various shades of ivory, ecru and beige. He’s working on a tartan bowtie. Muriel is knitting a cupperty cozy. Their stitches are meticulous. They miracle away their mistakes with a little flick of the needle.

Season 3 opening scene #8: Muriel’s been reading a first edition copy of Historia Plantarum (Theophrastus, 1483) to help Crowley’s plants GROW BETTER!

Season 3 opening scene #7: Crowley has his flat back from Shax, but hasn’t been there. He’s brought his plants in from the Bentley and keeps them at the bookshop. He waits in the arm chair mostly. He visits the dressing room, looking through Aziraphale’s wardrobe for a sad walk down memory lane. He’s holding a red velvet jacket, thinking of crepes in Paris.

Season 3 opening scene #6: Aziraphale is trying to take the elevator to 🌏 but it’s not working. A recorded voice keeps announcing “security clearance denied”. The voice sounds suspiciously giant-floaty-headish.

Season 3 opening scene #5: Aziraphale has been watching the levitating earth for days and days. Zoomed in on Soho, toggling between the front door of the bookshop and the Bentley parked around the corner. Hopelessly trying to catch sight of Crowley coming or going. Only a disconcerting number of dreaded customers have passed the threshold. None have left carrying books. Crowley won’t sell them. Aziraphale is grateful and sad.
