I’ve never taken a class in the 10 years I’ve been painting, but I love the work of @jessereno so I was thrilled to see his new online class become available. I’m working on a looser, more primitive vibe and more detail in the under-painting. 🤔 It sure is fun, and I’m not using #poscapens so the details aren’t as crisp (which I suppose is ‘looser’). My mind keeps trying

Nostalgia sets in

My oars are awry

I do what I must

But my sea-legs aren’t spry

They tell me the past

Was in line to be fixed

But the changes we see

Should mostly be nixed

The rich getting richer

The fools still in charge

Our smiles are covered

The madness is large

By living in fear

We’ve gotten this far

Keeping loved ones near

Be curious Truth seek Resist shaming those who speak Against the grain Outside the box They may be crazy like a fox . Are you primed by daily news Do you consider other views The status quo ain’t always right Time to shine a big spotlight Theories, research rock your boat Always trolls to get your goat Are you attached to what you know It may be time to let that go When you can’t tell truth from lies be careful who you ostracize It might be wise to not fall prey to advertisers of the day Especially those who so intend to sell us that which doesn’t mend When nothing makes a lick of sense perhaps it’s time to ride the fence The danger when we set our mind or don’t remember to be kind Is that we don’t just isolate We descend into fear and hate that weakens our immunity and deserts our divinity • • 36 x 24 inch canvas

The Frequency of Love

We have the chance to speak our mind, but let’s remember to be kind. We have the forum and the force, to change the world with our discourse. . The other thing to mull is this, we have the choice to live in bliss. The channel that we tune in to, can tickle us or make us blue. . The heads that don’t include their heart, wise words and sense they won’t impart. But they can’t occupy our brain, unless we let them have free rein. . We get to choose which game we play, because it’s true at end of day, we’re all part of the great divine, we can decide which way we shine.

Nature’s Rhythm A fire burns inside of everyone. The flame is fed by tunes that Gaia sings, in concert with the sun. It fuels the dance that pacifies our hurt, through Nature’s endless rhythm, old as dirt. The ancient drumbeat found within the earth, fills up our hearts and leaves us without words. This primal force that serenades us all, the child, the wolf, the flowers and the birds.

things are really quite upside down. 

We’re not sure who the demons are 

so we put the blame on a crown. 

 The thing we have to remember is

our thoughts aren’t always just kind. 

Under the bed or above it 

the monsters are made in our mind. 

Our mind shouldn’t be our master 

the boss of our brains is not dumb. 

The wisest ones through the ages 

tell us what we think we become. 

Our higher self knows the answer 

raise your vibe with all that you love. 

Immerse yourself each day in joy 

 to create the world you dream of.
