sometimes you reblog something because you personally want it on your blog. and some other times you reblog something as if you were scattering bird feed on ur porch and hiding behind the window to look out for the beautiful bird (beloved mutual) who will no doubt come peck at it

Blue Prince is more amazing than I could have ever hoped.

This is like Myst and the Matrix but you get to be in it and solve puzzles all while surrounded by a beautiful visual story about tearing down empires and questioning identity.

It made me take an actual test and study like I’m in school and feel uncomfortable about my place in the world and passionate about the power of visual storytelling and I cannot thank it enough.

It shines a light on all kinds of power dynamics while wrapped in a story about loved ones defined as deviant by those powers.

Flip the orders. Get curious and test things. Put on a tin foil hat and get some red pens - it’s meant to be fun, it is meant to make you look like a conspiracy, that’s part of the fun - and look for help. There are layers and layers and layers and it has kept serving every day.

I didn’t think I could experience again what Myst meant to me. I cannot thank this game enough for giving that experience again to the world.

Yeah actually. Tech companies like Microsoft (backer of OpenAI and owner of most of the tech companies at this point) forced their developers to put it in all of their products to spread the appearance of adoption. AI (large language models, basically predictive text) use became part of many job descriptions and performance reviews (without contract renegotiations). Other tech companies and small businesses spun up to join the bubble, which are pushed those into our algorithms, again creating the illusion of demand without actual demand, under the guise of innovation. Meanwhile masking the massive energy and environmental effects, as well as the limitations of the tech, from prospective users.

I struggle to understand how this particular “AI” technology isn’t a Ponzi scheme. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also to be clear if you put the new Harry Potter show on my dashboard I will be unfollowing and probably blocking you. JK Rowling is responsible for the death and pain of too many trans people to count in my country and I cannot tolerate her new way of trying to gain cultural and financial power in any way shape or form.
