I’m imagining the epilouge but with Neville’s kid instead of Harry’s.

I'm definitely stuck here. But I'm probably creating a new account and ditching this one, as soon as I come up with a good url.
I don’t understand how people can leave tumblr. I’ve been here since 2009 - I couldn’t leave even if I wanted to.

Ok... I need to puke now.
If it helps, basically everyone writing X-Men seems to have agreed to pretend this never happened.

Charles Xavier is an asshole, but that doesn't make him a villi--- Wait! He wanted to sleep with Jean or Ororo?! WHAT THE HELL?!
With Jean. In issue #1. Back in the 1960s. It was pretty blatant. He thought in obvious bubbles about her.

And that ignores that, from the start, he wanted to sleep with one of those child soldiers. Weird thing to include, TBQH.
Why is Charles Xavier (and his followers), who are basically the ultimate champions of respectability politics, considered the good guy?
i consider charles “come be my child soldier” xavier to be a villain (like, a true villain and not an antagonist) but otherwise i don’t understand your question.

So, this summer, for work, I had to go to Zurich. Picked up some high-end swiss chocolate coins, brought them home, stuck them in the freezer. EXCELLENT gelt, had a great Chanukah with them! Got to both hoard gold AND eat high quality chocolate!
they don’t even taste good but I still get excited about chocolate coins

I thought for a moment this said you could stand your ground against police rather than that they could stand their ground.
I am less happy
In its ruling, the court determined that police officers have the same rights as other Florida citizens who win immunity from prosecution under the law, according to the New York Times.
Lawyer Eric Schwartzreich, who successfully argued that police officers shouldn’t be excluded from the protections that “stand your ground” offers, was elated at the news.
“It’s a landmark, ground-marking case,” he said. He recently represented a sheriff’s deputy who was involved in the fatal shooting of a black man. “It’s the first time Stand Your Ground is used in the state of Florida in reference to police. The implications are wide-ranging.”
According to legal analysts, the ruling could allow police officers to avoid jury trials entirely if fatal shootings occur and the offending officer believes they were acting in self-defense. Despite the availability of alternative options.
In explaining it’s decision, the Court stated, “Put simply, a law enforcement officer is a ‘person’ whether on duty or off.”

This should have been episode 1 of The Defenders.

Finally had some time to do another Tumblrdraws piece. I was very amused by the scenario in the posts above and thought it deserved an illustration.

Just like Slughorn, Albus Dumbledore collects people. Only, instead of focusing on those with influence, he looks to the outcasts.
The expelled half-giant. The young werewolf. The repentant Death Eater.
He protects them and gives them a second chance. All he asks in return is their loyalty.
And, if on occasion he requests that they undertake a certain task, invoking their debt of gratitude - well, that is no more than he is owed.
He once thought to add a certain disowned Black to his collection, but quickly realised his mistake.
Sirius is not an outcast, but a rebel. He knowingly chose his path, and chooses what price he is willing to pay for it. He refuses to be used.
So Albus Dumbledore abandons him.
