Character Bio
Jason was born of Sarah and Jacob Christensen, or so he thought.  He was born an identical twin, but his brother didn’t survive long past birth.  The effects of the stressful birth left a lasting effect on Jason.  By the time he was three, he went through two surgeries on his heart and one on his lungs.  While his parents didn’t have copious amounts of money, they did whatever they had to do in order to keep Jason alive.  He meant the world to them.
Thankfully, the surgeries were a success and Jason led a fairly normal life through childhood.  Sure, his parents were overprotective and he couldn’t run as fast or as long as the other kids, but he did what he could.  He was seven when he was pulled out of traditional high school after scoring a genius-level IQ in a Gifted Program placement exam.  It was a point of contention between Sarah and Jacob.  Sarah wanted Jason to have every opportunity he could and going to a special school would help that.  Jacob wanted him to go to regular school and have a regular life.  He spent three years at that special school before his father finally won the argument and he went back to regular school.
School wasn’t terrible for Jason.  He had a core group of friends that all shared his level of intellectual ability to some extent.  Jason excelled in all of his classes, particularly English and History.  Sure, he got made fun of every now and again because of his lack of athletic ability, but he was used to it.  It was great having friends that would back him up and be there when he stumbled and fell while trying to play baseball.  While he was shy and socially awkward, having that core group of people that understood and accepted him truly helped.
Jason graduated top of his class and was accepted to Stanford for Pre-Med.  While he longed to go into English, he knew that he had to do something to one day pay his parents back for everything they did for him as a child.  A doctor would afford him the ability to survive on his own and help his parents.  Jason knew that they still struggled financially from all his surgeries and all he wanted was for them to be secure.
College wasn’t as easy as high school.  It was more difficult for Jason to relate to people he didn’t grow up with and he found himself as a social outcast, spending a majority of his time in his dorm room.  When he wasn’t studying, he was reading or writing.  Depression hit hard his sophomore year when his advisor noticed his lack of social skills and pushed him towards English rather than Pre-Med.  It was also around that time when he was diagnosed with ADHD.  He always had it, but it only ever reared its ugly head when he was challenged.
Still, he pushed on, switching to a new advisor and working his hardest through school.  Now, in between his junior and senior year, he found himself on a volunteer trip further north than he was expecting.  He was out with the group of students one night and wandered off in a drunken state, only to be captured by a group of werewolves.
Little did he know that his life was about to be turned upside down
